Cycle 4, Slate 6: PIXIES?! IN THE TUNDRA?!.

Since generation 7 did this mermaid grace the screens of USUM and SM as one of the best defensive starters that still packs a punch with its signature ability and hard hitting special attack. Move over tapu fini, the original is here to show how she will grace the battlefield with her singing. Generation 8 brought us quite a charming top hatted generational variant of weezing. Mustache on hand, and a strange steam blowing the opponents away. Granted defog, will-o-wisp, strange steam, pain split, and a variety of tools at its disposal I think this is a defensive staple on fairy and poison teams.

Yes you see it, Skuntank in the flesh getting ready to shine as the OG Poison Dark. Access to Defog and Sucker Punch makes it a decent option for poison teams to use like come on it has Defog! Good role compression freeing up a move slot for its teammates in the process. Teaming up with the new addition to the type Pecharunt provides a strong core for the type. Did i forget the mention its a Ghost type as well?! Move over Gengar time for the new Star! Lets see if you can slowly beat your opponents down with the venomous duo. >:)

Is it Blaziken, is it Emboar, is it Infernape?! No its Tauros-Paldea-Blaze! the fire form of Tauros comming off the bench providing bulk and Intimidate to scare away the competitions! Teaming up with Pawmot for some blessing to revive a teammate back into the action. Who needs Iron Hands when you have Pawmot :D

To anyone and to everyone who participated in this cycles Core Ladder Challenge Kickoff for DLC2 I want to personally thank each and every last one of you. This was so fun to watch every battle and see the cores be used to climb the ladder. Below are the winner and the runner ups;
