Naganadel @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Draco Meteor
- Sludge Wave
- Fire Blast
Naganadel's niche resides in its ability to break past stall and bulky teams and be a threat to offensive teams thanks to its speed, typing, and movepool. Naganadel can take advantage of forced switches by setting up with Nasty Plot, which makes it able to break through bulky cores. A strong Devastating Drake from Dragonium Z doesn't drop Special Attack, is useful to gain a Speed boost, and breaks through offensive Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh after Stealth Rock damage. Thanks to its Poison typing, Naganadel can set up on Blissey and Chansey without having to worry about Toxic but still needs Stealth Rocks support to chip at stall staples such as support Arceus formes, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. Its matchup against more offensive teams is harder, as it relies on predictions to set up or attack due to its mediocre bulk and its STAB moves being easy to pivot around. Xerneas, Mega Salamence, and Marshadow are ideal teammates, since they can break through defensive cores and wear down Naganadel's checks, while Naganadel can take on some of their checks.
