5. Mutant Supremacy - Infinite Suffering
Admittedly, I heard about these guys from "Splatterhouse", but it's still a good album

4. Bongripper - Satan Worshipping Doom
Massively heavy

3. Weapon - From the Devil's Tomb
Don't know whether to classify this as black or death metal but regardless, this album owns bones

2. Immolation - Majesty and Decay
Solid Death Metal, ignore G80

1. Streetlight Manifesto - 99 Songs of Revolution
Pure Fanboyism

compared to the others i mentioned, majesty and decay was merely disappointing. it really isn't on the level of close to a world below/here in after/dawn of possession.

beyond top 5 I can't really list more in a "top" list as I've mainly heard only average or worse albums this year (Dark Tranquillity, Nevermore, Pain Of Salvation [disappointment of the year for me], Iron Maiden, Orphaned Land, The Pineapple Thief)

probably my list will change quite a lot after checking out most albums on everyone's toplists from here and from everywhere else, which is what I'll most likely do in the next weeks

I actually really liked the new Iron Maiden, but that's probably because I'm a Maiden fanboy. IMO it was their second best album since bringing Dickinson and Smith back (after Brave New World). It still probably wouldn't objectively make my "Best of 2010" list, but I enjoyed it.

I would like to make a best of list, but I really spent most of this year finding older artists I hadn't listened to before. However, I'll just shout out some albums I liked.

New Kanye was awesome
New Big Boi was awesome
New Trophy Scars was awesome
Celph Titled & Buckwild's Nineteen Ninety Now for most underrated hip-hop album of the year.
Don't know much about the genre, but I enjoyed Amia Venera Landscape's The Long Procession after I downloaded it on a whim, though I'm still having trouble with the vocals.

Overall not that satisfied with this years album's but there were some surprises.

IMO, Pink Friday sucked, and No Mercy was below average. Eminem's Recovery was indeed a return to form, but after the shitfest of Relapse, ANYTHING looks like a return to form, and I would probably only objectively grade Recovery 3.5/5. Kanye West was ofc amazing, and didn't listen to Disturbed.

Again, this is just my opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours. Not trying to be "that internet douche". :)
