Manager signups for MPL X are now open! If you will be signing up, please be sure to read the rules below.
The format for MPL X is the following:
- SV Monotype

- Please try to pick team names with a general theme and make sure it is appropriate. This is up to the discretion of the forum mods and hosts and we generally encourage the reuse of names from past iterations (e.g. those from MPL IX, Meteor Falls Miniors, Bell Tower Braves, Dreamyard Darkrais, Trick House Treeckos, etc.).
- There will be 8 teams in this iteration of MPL.
- Teams are eligible to have any combination of manager selfbuys or retains for a maximum of 2 between them. The pricing for managers is in a spoiler below.
- The date of the auction is expected to be the weekend of May 18-19th!
- Total starting credits will be 100k.
Manager price = (M-1) * 500 * # of wins last MPL + (P + 3000) + 750 * # of wins last MPL - 1000 * # of losses last MPL
M being the number of selfbuys performed by the team (1 or 2).
P being the price of said player in their last MPL capped at 17000.
If they never played MPL or if their price was lower than 10000, it defaults to 10000. The result is rounded up.
As we previously did not use a 100k budget, prices from MPL IX will be scaled accordingly prior to being used in the equation, being rounded down to the nearest multiple of 500.

As mentioned in the notes for prospective managers above, the draft date will be decided upon by the managers and hosts following the end of Player Signups. Expect the weekend of May 18-19th!
The manager selection process is mostly subjective. Vertigo and I, alongside the rest of the moderation team, will select the managers we feel are most strongly involved with the community and display the attitude requisite of a manager.
