- Re-added the ability to obtain ice using Silk Touch and added it on glass panes
- Half slabs of all wood types
- Added editable books
- New crafting recipe for book: 3 pieces of paper and one piece of leather in any possible shape
- Crafting recipe for Book and Quill: one ink sac, one feather and one book in any possible shape
- You can right-click it to edit the book
- You can create up to 50 pages
- Clicking 'Done' saves the book, clicking 'Sign' lets you choose a title and finalizes the book, stopping you from editing it, giving it a glow like on enchanted items and showing you title and author when hovering on it in your inventory
- Books can't be placed in bookshelves

- Wooden half slabs now act as wood instead of stone

- Fixed entities glitching through blocks - Comparison: before and after

They added Ice back!
And I am assuming you can still put it in the nether, and turn it into water. If so then a zombie pigman farm could be viable, which means a renewable source of gold. We can have a renewable source of iron, and now gold can be renewable as well.
Also I made the skeleton dungeon into an AFK grinder, so that should be a reliable source of bones and arrows

oh my god this is the best update ever.
I mean really, this is just about everything I've wanted added into the game for the past 10 months.

Nope. Breaking Ice in the Nether no longer releases water, which is what is intended. The reason they removed picking up Ice in the first place was to prevent water in the Nether. Also of note kinda, when you break Ice with Silk Touch water isn't released.
The book thing is cool, but at the moment as far as I know when you move the book out of your inventory or something it doesn't keep track of what's in the book unless you sign it. Once they change that, Books will be awesome. A great addition for adventure maps and if you're making something with some hidden secrets to be uncovered by the player, books can act like clues I guess.
What if you melt the water with a torch next to it? Would that allow for water in the Nether? EDIT: or would the water just evaporate, or would it not melt?
