OK. So after looking at stuff from my last mega pidgeot team, I found another pidgeot core to combine the latias/pidgeot/dugtrio core with. This was a pidgeot/raikou core, based on volt turn. to it I added banded azumarill and banded scizor, to add a little more power to the team.
Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Big Pecks
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Heat Wave
- Hurricane
- U-turn
- Tailwind
Standard mega pidgeot here. Hurricane is just an amazing move, ripping through teams like there is no tomorrow. Heat wave is good for ferrothorn, as many people don't know it gets it. U-turn is a good way to get out quick. Tailwind is my filler move. Only really useful for taking on mega lopunny, since I don't have much else. EVs are to hit as hard as possible
Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
This is a great counter to rotom-w, which pidgeot was afraid of. AV lets it take rotom-w on 1v1, and is just a great all round attacker. HP ice and t-bolt for boltbeam coverage, volt switch is great for building momentum, and shadow ball is for ghost and psychic types. EVs are to hit hard and fast
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 176 HP / 148 Atk / 12 Def / 172 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute
OK. As suggested by harri2000, I swapped Azumarill to Gyrados, and it is so much better. Intimidate helps so much more than azumarill's sheer power, and Gyarados gets dragon dance, and can cause pain for pokemon trying to burn it due to sub. Sub is great to battle against leech seed and other stall. DD lets me set up and cause some major damage, and then I use waterfall and earthquake for good coverage. The EV spread is to outspeed noivern after 1 DD, as I couldn't outpace jolly mega lopunny with adamant, and then get the 2HKO on mega lopunny, as a +1 waterfall will never OHKO. Maybe after rocks, but OK. HP umber gives me the 5 Subs with lefties. It was then better to put the remaining EVs in defense to help in taking down mega lopunny. Overall, I'm really glad of the change.
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish
Standard support latias. Still amazing. Draco Meteor and Psyshock give me some good STABs, while defog is to remove any hazards that hinder my team. Healing wish is huge, as it gives another pokemon a second shot at destruction. Many times I used healing wish to score me a late game momentum shift. The EVs are the standard LO spread.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Knock Off
CB scizor is a really strong steel type. Bullet punch is a dangerous STAB priority, that can cause chaos, while U-turn is deadly, and gives me some good momentum. Knock off lets me get some huge damage off onto pokemon like heatran and co. Superpower can hit pokemon like heatran and magnezone really hard. EVs are used to outpace the standard rotom-w.
Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 21 HP
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Dugtrio is just a really good pokemon. It can set up rocks, and take out electric and steel type pokemon to let pidgeot sweep better. Earthquake is a really strong STAB, while reversal can hit stuff incredibly hard. Stealth rocks are useful to hinder pokemon like talonflame and co, while toxic has actually got me some wins in difficult situations. Sash is for longevity, and hits as hard as possible. 21HP IV gives it 201 HP, so it can take 2 seismic tosses from blissey/chansey and hit back hard with reversal
My worst fear is mega lopunny, as it can easily just sweep through my team, and I really need to stop it. Other things are a pain, but lopunny is huge.
EDIT: I forgot that mega scizor is also a major pain for my team. if it sets up, I can't win

Azumarill -> Gyarados
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Knock Off
I love CB azumarill. It is really strong, and is fairly bulky. Aqua jet is my go to move, and it takes chunks of HP from targets easily. Play rough stops dragons, while waterfall just decimates anything in it's way. Knock off gives an option to remove items from opponents. EVs are basic to take hits generally and hit extremely hard.
It was removed, as gyarados had better synergy with the team than azumarill.
