Banner by me :)
This Gen 9 based micrometa will give a set of masks, based on Ogerpon's masks to Pokemon that need them for it to become stronger!
These masks would work as closely as possible to Ogerpon's masks, but without the 1.2 boost from all attacks, which would be removed due to balance reasons, aside from that, these masks have the following effects:
-The holder would have a new type added, it can replace its primary type slot or its secondary type slot.
-The holder gains a new ability.
-One of the holder's moves changes to the type of the mask its wearing.
-When terastalizing, the user can only terastalize to the type of the mask
-When terastalized, gains a new ability, not necesarily an Embody Aspect clone.

This mod would allow terastalization, but note that ONLY Pokemon holding a mask will be capable of it, Pokemon are still able to hold other items, masks can only be held by the mon they were subbed with, the movepool of Pokemons that have not been on SV or SWSH will skip their BDSP movepool.

The submission rules are as follow:
  • The max amount of mons per slate you can sub is 3.
  • Each Pokemon can have up to 3 masks or less if prefered by the subber.
  • This should go without saying but you cannot copy from another user's submission.
  • The masks should have a name.
  • Submission phase would last five days, veto phase lasts one day, and votes last two.

The four (or more/less depending on the slate) most voted Pokemon would be added to the meta, you can vote for 5 Pokemon or less, and only self-vote for 1 of yours, voting position doesnt give more points, a normal vote would look like this:

:coalossal: Some guy
:swampert: uhh
:coalossal: Some other guy
:phione: Gaboswampert (sv)
:forretress: Someone

If two of the same Pokemon win, and both of them had custom moves, the one with the most votes will win, and the submission with the fifth most votes wins instead

Slates would work like the following:
  • There will be one or more pools of Pokemon to choose from each slate
  • You can choose the same Pokemon as someone else
  • Similar to Poketypos, slates will have various different themes

Pokemon: Chesnaught
Type-changing Move: Body Press

Mask Name: Armored Mask
New Type: Grass/Steel
New Ability:
Battle Armor
Ability when Tera'd: Heatproof
Description: Solid spiker and defensive glue, with good 88/122 physdef, and also has a way to put offensive pressure on the opponent with Steel STAB Body Press, and its decent 107 Atk with Wood Hammer, has good utility with Leech Seed, Taunt and Knock Off, and can heal up with Synthesis, can terastalize to get out of a hard situation against a Fire type attacker, but it doesnt outright win against it, as it only has a neutrality.

:sv/Venusaur:
Pokemon: Venusaur
Type-changing Move: Knock Off

Mask Name: Cherrybloom Mask
New Type: Grass/Fairy
New Ability:
Misty Surge
Ability when Tera'd: Grassy Surge
Description: Sets up different terrains during a battle, early and mid game can set misty terrain to stop its allies from getting chipped by status, and late game can help its allies with healing from grassy terrain if you havent tera'd, has good utility in Synthesis, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder and Knock Off, balanced out by fairly low stats and mid defensive type.

Ability when Tera'd: Water Absorb
Description: Solid sweeper with DDance sets as well as a glue due to its solid defensive profile, can heal with Splash Bite giving it the Aqua Ring effect, has a lot of coverage in Eq, Crunch, Superpower, Outrage, Ice Punch, Dragon Claw, Shadow Claw and Rock Slide, which helps on its glue role, balanced out by mid stats if it doesnt boost.

Pokemon: Delphox
Type-changing Move: Future Sight

Mask Name: Oracle Mask
New Type: Fire / Fairy
New Ability: Soul-Heart
Ability when Tera'd: Neuroforce
Description: Fairy-type Future Sight? Soul-Heart to accrue boosts and Neuroforce when tera'd to benefit even more from them? Good speed? Delphox is a very powerful threat if it can get set up, but a hazard weakness, a weakness to common offensive types, and subpar bulk makes it not unbeatable.

:sv/swampert:
Pokemon: Swampert
Type-changing Move: Liquidation

Mask Name: Lakelurker Mask
New Type: Water / Dragon
New Ability: Water Absorb
Ability when Tera'd: Regenerator
Description: Based on the axolotl, Swampert's Lakelurker mask changes it from a pivot to a... different kind of pivot. Its typing takes a major blow- Water/Dragon is much worse than Water/Ground, and pure Dragon worse than that- but in exchange, it gains two powerful abilities. Dragon's Maw in base allows it to pack a very solid punch with Liquidation (or outrage i guess), and Regenerator in tera'd is good for every reason that putting Regenerator on a Swampert is good.

Mask Name: Purified Mask

Ability when Tera'd: Adapter
Description: a jjk reference? so the irony of this is that magic guard and adaptabiilty are two sides with gojo and mahoraga which is why i chose the abilites. anyway, there are like zero dark type special moves so i made one of my own. this can make for a very powerful special attacker.
If the same move is used on the user twice, lower the damage by 0.8x. (Metronome formula reversed)

Emboar
Type-changing Move:
Victory Charge |
|
| 10/16 PP | 90 BP | 100% acc | Changes type based on user's form. If Flying/Ground/Steel-type, and the user knocks out another Pokemon, its special defense/attack/defense stat is raised by 1. | 0 priority | Flags: Contact, Mirror, Protect
Description: Putting this here because, admittedly, all three masks have similar roles: they're all slow breakers that like to raise their stats, whether it be through direct setup, knocking out the opposition, or terastallizing as said opposition is setting up themselves. They key differences between the masks are their given typings, each giving them a unique immunity on top of several resists, greatly affecting their matchups and how they deal with threats, especially since Emboar with its natural bulk can take a good hit. They do have two fatal flaws though- the first is each mask comes with a 4x weakness, while the second is that the best recovery your going to get with Emboar is in the form of Rest, although RestTalk sets may be applicable, who knows.

:sv/emboar:
Pokemon: Emboar
Type-changing Move: Draining Tusk

Name: Draining Tusk
Power: 120
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 5/8
Category: Physical
Type:

Effect: Recover user’s HP by 25% of damage dealt.
Priority: 0
Flags: Contact, Mirror, Protect

Mask Name: Storm Mask
New Type: Fire/Electric
New Ability: Speed Boost
Ability when Tera'd: No Guard
Description: Speed Boost wallbreaker. Electric-type Draining Tusk gives Emboar a strong Electric-type STAB, and if garnered enough Speed, Terastal and ignore the shaky 90% accuracy. Stone Edge / Head Smash also benefits from No Guard.
Mask Name: Metal Mask
New Type: Fire/Steel
New Ability: Fur Coat
Ability when Tera'd: Sheer Force
Description: Compensate for it’s horrid Ground double weakness with access to Fur Coat, making Bulk Up sets viable. Once Tera’d into Steel, boosts Iron Head into an even stronger STAB once Metal Emboar sets up at least one Bulk Up. Draining Tusk also helps with recovery on powerful hits.
Mask Name: Frostbite Mask
New Type: Fire/Ice
New Ability: Magic Guard
Ability when Tera'd: Parental Bond (It creates a family of Tepig line during Terastalization)
Description: Fire / Ice is a horrendous type on a slow Pokémon, so Magic Guard helps circumvent the Stealth Rock weakness, especially if the metagame become hazard-heavy. Magic Guard also make Emboar immune to recoil, so it can use Flare Blotz and Head Smash all it wants. Parental Bond makes for a pseudo-Serene Grace with an effective extra 25% damage boost to make up being a slow pure Ice-type when Terastalized, and gain 2x Speed after it clicked Flame Charge.

Pokemon: Swampert
Type-changing Move: Mud Bash*
Custom Move: Mud Bash Type: Ground| BP: 90 | Acc: 90| Max PP:16 | Category: Physical | Effect: 20% to lower target’s accuracy and speed by one stage. | Flags: Protect, Mirror
Mask Name: Waste Mask
New Type: Water/Poison
New Ability: Toxic Chain
Ability when Tera'd: Merciless
Description: Corroded mask of the wastelands. It is said to be made in place of beautiful marshes that were the swamperts’ habitat; These masks help the swampert adapt to the now poisonous environment.

Vetoes are up!
:sv/swampert:
Pokemon: Swampert
Type-changing Move: Liquidation

Mask Name: Lakelurker Mask
New Type: Water / Dragon
New Ability: Dragon's Maw
Ability when Tera'd: Regenerator
Description: Based on the axolotl, Swampert's Lakelurker mask changes it from a pivot to a... different kind of pivot. Its typing takes a major blow- Water/Dragon is much worse than Water/Ground, and pure Dragon worse than that- but in exchange, it gains two powerful abilities. Dragon's Maw in base allows it to pack a very solid punch with Liquidation (or outrage i guess), and Regenerator in tera'd is good for every reason that putting Regenerator on a Swampert is good.
We consider that STAB Dragon's Maw Outrage and Liquidation coming off a decent 110atk may be too strong, considering its solid type and movepool, probably just change Dragon's Maw to another ability

:skeledirge:
Pokemon: Skeledirge
Type-changing Move: Torch Song

Mask Name: Purified Mask
New Type: Fire/Fairy
New Ability: Magic Guard
Ability when Tera'd: Misty Surge
Description: Bulky wall. Tera'ing trades its immunity to chip damage for the ability to protect your team from status conditions and a better type that isn't weak to rocks.
Magic Guard is an amazing ability, combined with its Fire/Fairy type which is great offensively, and tera boosted Torch Song and Slack Off, may make this way too strong of an offensive breaker, we reccomend you change Magic Guard to something else, since thats the main focus of its brokeness

Samurott
Type-changing Move:
Sacred Sword

Sunlight Mask
New Type
:

New Ability: Thermal Exchange
Terability: Sharpness
Description: n/a
We are only including the Sunlight Mask btw
Due to its resistance to fire, Thermal Exchange gives it many entry points on a game where in can get an Atk boost and then sweep or force a KO with STAB Sharpness-boosted tera-boosted +1 Sacred Sword, which is very strong, probably change Thermal Exchange to something else

All of you have one day to fix your subs!

LOrd Fernado

I COULD BE BANNED!
all subs have been edited and are legal for voting
The four (or more/less depending on the slate) most voted Pokemon would be added to the meta, you can vote for 5 Pokemon or less, and only self-vote for 1 of yours, voting position doesnt give more points, a normal vote would look like this:
:coalossal: Some guy
:swampert: uhh
:coalossal: Some other guy
:phione: Gaboswampert (sv)
:forretress: LOrd of crap (Frenado)
If two of the same Pokemon win, and both of them had custom moves, the one with the most votes will win, and the submission with the fifth most votes wins instead
y'all have got 48 hours

I for one isn’t too fond of Incineroar turning into Fire / Fighting at first, but with Emboar winning at this rate, I’d say it’s going full circle in a good way.

Winners!
:sv/emboar:
Pokemon: Emboar
Type-changing Move: Draining Tusk

Name: Draining Tusk
Power: 120
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 5/8
Category: Physical
Type:

Effect: Recover user’s HP by 25% of damage dealt.
Priority: 0
Flags: Contact, Mirror, Protect

Mask Name: Storm Mask
New Type: Fire/Electric
New Ability: Speed Boost
Ability when Tera'd: No Guard
Description: Speed Boost wallbreaker. Electric-type Draining Tusk gives Emboar a strong Electric-type STAB, and if garnered enough Speed, Terastal and ignore the shaky 90% accuracy. Stone Edge / Head Smash also benefits from No Guard.
Mask Name: Metal Mask
New Type: Fire/Steel
New Ability: Fur Coat
Ability when Tera'd: Sheer Force
Description: Compensate for it’s horrid Ground double weakness with access to Fur Coat, making Bulk Up sets viable. Once Tera’d into Steel, boosts Iron Head into an even stronger STAB once Metal Emboar sets up at least one Bulk Up. Draining Tusk also helps with recovery on powerful hits.
Mask Name: Frostbite Mask
New Type: Fire/Ice
New Ability: Magic Guard
Ability when Tera'd: Parental Bond (It creates a family of Tepig line during Terastalization)
Description: Fire / Ice is a horrendous type on a slow Pokémon, so Magic Guard helps circumvent the Stealth Rock weakness, especially if the metagame become hazard-heavy. Parental Bond makes for a pseudo-Serene Grace with an effective extra 25% damage boost to make up being a slow pure Ice-type when Terastalized, and gain 2x Speed after it clicked Flame Charge.
Samtendo09's Emboar Masks!
:sv/delphox:
Pokemon: Delphox
Type-changing Move: Future Sight

Mask Name: Oracle Mask
New Type: Fire / Fairy
New Ability: Soul-Heart
Ability when Tera'd: Neuroforce
Description: Fairy-type Future Sight? Soul-Heart to accrue boosts and Neuroforce when tera'd to benefit even more from them? Good speed? Delphox is a very powerful threat if it can get set up, but a hazard weakness, a weakness to common offensive types, and subpar bulk makes it not unbeatable.

:sv/swampert:
Pokemon: Swampert
Type-changing Move: Liquidation

Mask Name: Lakelurker Mask
New Type: Water / Dragon
New Ability: Water Absorb
Ability when Tera'd: Regenerator
Description: Based on the axolotl, Swampert's Lakelurker mask changes it from a pivot to a... different kind of pivot. Its typing takes a major blow- Water/Dragon is much worse than Water/Ground, and pure Dragon worse than that- but in exchange, it gains two powerful abilities. Dragon's Maw in base allows it to pack a very solid punch with Liquidation (or outrage i guess), and Regenerator in tera'd is good for every reason that putting Regenerator on a Swampert is good.
Totally_Odette's Swampert Mask and Delphox Mask!
:sv/Chesnaught:

And a Chesnaught Mask by me!
Delphox: 5
Emboar: (Samtendo09): 5
Swampert: (Totally_Oddete): 5
Chesnaught: 4
Incineroar: 3
Feraligatr: 2
Samurott: 1
Skeledirge: 1
Emboar (SparkRolf): 0
Greninja: 0
Infernape: 0
Serperior: 0
Swampert (analysis geek): 0
Venusaur: 0
