BH Magic Guard Blissey [GP 1/1]

[SET]
Magic Guard (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Shore Up
- Ruination
- Topsy-Turvy
- Teleport / Parting Shot

[SET COMMENTS]
With naturally high Special Defense and HP along with a decent neutral typing against most attacks, Blissey is an effective special wall capable of checking various special threats like Eternatus and Miraidon. Magic Guard also gives Blissey an immunity to residual damage from sources such as Salt Cure and Thunder Cage, with the protection from the latter and its low Attack limiting healing from Strength Sap letting it check most Take Heart Arceus formes. Ruination is a way to make near-guaranteed progress barring a miss, and its consistent damage mitigates Blissey's otherwise-crippling passivity. Topsy-Turvy deters setup attempts from Take Heart and Nasty Plot users by inverting their boosts and likely forcing a switch, in which case Blissey can then pivot out with Teleport or Parting Shot. Blissey's ability to deny Strength Sap healing makes it a great pick on balance teams carrying physical attackers such as Mega Lucario, as Fur Coat walls with Strength Sap usually can't get past Blissey, and physical attackers can force Imposter users out if they switch in while Blissey is pivoting. Blissey's immense frailty means that reliable physical walls, such as Mega Slowbro, are mandatory to cover for it; Arceus-Ghost can also bypass Blissey with either Secret Sword or Triple Arrows, so Yveltal makes for a good teammate. Imposter-proof Blissey with any Regenerator user.

With a naturally high Special Defence Defense and HP along with a decent neutral typing, Blissey is an effective special wall capable of checking various special threats like Flutter Mane and Fur Coat Arceus-Ghost lacking Secret Sword This is inaccurate, since Bliss doesn't do much against one of two flutter sets and Ghostceus very commonly runs Sword (and is also not limited to FC on spa sets). Magic Guard also gives Blissey an immunity to residual damage such as Salt Cure and Thunder Cage inaccurate phrasing but ill leave to GP; along with it's low Attack stat letting it deny Strength Sap's healing from most special attackers like Miraidon Miraidon is less important to mention than Take Heart Arcs, and in particular these are the threats you are looking to wall with Blissey rather than pure breakers. Ruination is a way to make near-guaranteed progress barring a miss, and is useful for chipping down both Special wallbreakers and Special attacking walls, such as Take Heart Arceus-Fairy. Topsy Turvy is a way to heavily deter setup attempts from Take Heart and Nasty Plot users by inverting their boosts and likely forcing a switch, in which case you can then pivot out with Teleport or Parting Shot. If pivoting is not desired see above, Salt Cure can instead be used to deter Steel-type or Water-type Regenerator users trying to switch into a Ruination such as. Blissey's ability to deny Strength Sap healing makes it a great pick on Balance teams carrying physical attackers, as these physical attackers are usually deterred by Strength Sap; along with Blissey's slow pivoting being able to bring them in safely mention how they also provide an offensive improof if Imp comes in on pivot. Blissey can also struggle with mixed attackers like Ultra Necrozma, so a sturdy mixed wall like Ice Scales Arceus-Ground is a good partner scales groundceus isn't really a mixed wall so just change that description. Imposter-proof Blissey with any Regenerator users, and non-Steel/non-Water Regenerator users if carrying Salt Cure see previous.
