Awesome to have LC stats again, hopefully next month we should get significantly more battles. Think the ladder was way more active when we had the forum for the last ~third of the month.
Anyway, odd stuff:
| Gligar | Move | Swords Dance | 42.0 |
| Gligar | Move | Stone Edge | 34.7 |
| Gligar | Move | Rock Polish | 25.0 |
the hell? I think a lot of people have been using SD gligar after SDS's post in the Gligar thread, but honestly its not that great a set, especially compared to RP.. expect this to die down to some extent by next month.
| Gligar | Move | Night Slash | 48.6 |
| Gligar | Move | Aqua Tail | 43.5 |
Is also rather strange, Night Slash lets a load of flying types block you before a boost pretty well, like Mantyke. Its got decnet neutral coverage I suppose, but the low base power is really sad.. Also, did anyone see any player not named Dracoyosi8 using HP Ice Gligar?
Quite a few Pokemon who are good enough to use that are largely missed due to the low number of battles. This should change as traffic increases.
| 87 | Marill | 6 | 0.67 |
odd, it shows up on the banned list.
| Machop | Move | Encore | 12.0 |
??? Could whoever used this please explain.
Nice to see Magby up to 17th place, its often been missed out and has some fun points. Same with Magnemite, though I'd like to see more of th Dual Screen set as a hard hitting alternitive to Bronzor. Also, maybe
| Magnemite | Move | Magnet Rise | 49.0 |
is a bit exessive? It helps against Bronzor, but does eat a valuable moveslot and zor can still just set up..
Bronzor's new move seems not to be getting popular just yes, but that may well change: | Bronzor | Move | Hypnosis | 6.7 |
Bronzor is also at ptetty much the lowest usage I've seen, shocking for such a good setup Pokemon and one of the few real walls of LC.
Missy is ever popular with Sub-SS@LO having just over half of its useages. The rest are divided amoung CM, Charge Beam and all out attacking sets. I think that the recent rise of defencive status missy may have missed the stat collection.
Oran Munchlax is back on top by a long way, with over 88%. Investing in some attack also seems to be common:
| Munchlax | Attack EV | None | 39.4 |
| Munchlax | Attack EV | High (150-200) | 30.8 |
| Munchlax | Attack EV | Very High (200+) | 28.1 |
But Protect is suprisingly low, only at 43%, with Fire Punch close behind at 39%.
Onix in the top 10 leads! I knew there was something to it :) Anyway its mostly used with sash and SR+boom. Quite high speed. But I don't expect it to stay this high, getting SR up is not worth a pokemon and most other leads can 2KO it while outspeeding, or in Meowth's case sleep it.
Speaking of Meowth, it reclaimed the no. 1 spot, knocking diggy down to 2nd. Hypnosis seems to be its most popular 4th move by far these days, with not even a single Protect Meowth :(
Diglett's stats are somewhat confusing, but you can see that Rock Slide is picking up after a lull, hitting almost 40% use.
Porygon shot to the top to with the addition of two brilliant moves, Tri Attack finally granting it a half decent STAB (read: not Swift/Hyper Beam >_>), and Agility which gives it a shot at sweeping. Add to this Recover making bulky sets viable, and.. yea. Expect pory to be top 5 at least by next month.
Thank you very much Doug!
