UUbers Lead Excadrill [QC 2/2] [GP 1/1]

[SET]
Lead (Excadrill) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock

[SET COMMENTS]
Excadrill stands out as a lead due to its rare ability to set and remove Stealth Rock and be offensively threatening to targets like Gholdengo and Regieleki. Rock Slide synergizes well with Earthquake offensively because they create the EdgeQuake combination, and it hits Pokemon like Skamory, Landorus, Corviknight, and Lugia. Rapid Spin is used to remove entry hazards set by other leads, such as Sticky Web from Galvantula or Araquanid, and Stealth Rock breaks any Focus Sashes and chips foes. Tera Ghost spinblocks Pokemon like Great Tusk and Regieleki, as well as granting an immunity to Fighting-type moves from Pokemon like Chien-Pao; however, Excadrill won't always be your best candidate for Terastallization. Lead Excadrill should be used on hyper offense teams. Strong wallbreakers like Mewtwo, Zacian, (comma) and Deoxys like Excadrill as a teammate because it is good at setting up hazards to chip down threats into KO range of them. Air Balloon Gholdengo is also a decent teammate, as it is immune to Fighting- and Ground-type attacks, which gives the user a chance to save Excadrill as a potential sacrifice or save its Rapid Spin for later and allow it to set Stealth Rock if it gets removed. Taunt from Arceus formes and Deoxys really ruins Excadrill, so having a Pokemon like Zamazenta-C that can threaten Arceus formes is a good idea.

Excadrill stands out as a lead due to its unique ability to set and remove Stealth Rock (mention its decent offensive capability after setting rocks.), as well as being able to threaten Gholdengo. STAB Earthquake is able to threaten the common spinblocker Gholdengo, and Rock Slide is used to synergize with Earthquake offensively. (EQ line is filler, you can mention how Rock Slide gives EdgeQuake coverage and mention targets Rock Slide hits.) Rapid Spin is used to remove hazards from other leads, such as Sticky Web from Galvantula, and Stealth Rock is a good hazard to break any Focus Sashes in the back and getting chip on anything that comes in. (No Sash mention?) Tera Ghost can be used to block Rapid Spin from pokemon like Great Tusk, as well as gaining an immunity to Fighting-types moves. (Mention how it does not tera often.) Lead Excadrill can and should be used on Hyper Offense teams. Some examples of teammates used on Hyper Offense are Zacian, Mewtwo and Deoxys. (Mention how Wallbreakers like these 3 like having Excadrill setting up hazards to chip down threats.) Air Balloon Gholdengo is also a decent teammate, as it is immune to Fighting moves and Flying moves, Fighting- and Flying-type attacks, which gives the user a chance to save Excadrill as a potential sack or saving its Rapid Spin for later. (Mention how Taunt from stuff like Arceus formes ruin Excadrill, so Pokemon who can take those threats on like Zama-C are useful to have.)

STAB Earthquake is able to threaten the common spinblocker Gholdengo, and Rock Slide is used to synergize with Earthquake offensively, because it creates the EdgeQuake combination, and Rock Slide also hits Pokemon like Galvantula and Chien-Pao super-effectively. Rapid Spin is used to remove hazards from other leads, such as Sticky Web from Galvantula or Araquanid, and Stealth Rock is a good hazard to break any Focus Sashes in the back and getting chip on anything that comes in. Focus Sash makes it guaranteed that Excadrill will live an attack, so it can always setup Stealth Rock. Tera Ghost can be used to block Rapid Spin from Pokemon like Great Tusk and Regieleki, as well as gaining an immunity to Fighting-type moves (from who?), however Excadrill won't always be your best Tera option (potentially rephrase to something like . Lead Excadrill can and should be used on Hyper Offense teams. Strong Wallbreakers like Mewtwo, Zacian and Deoxys like Excadrill as a teammate because Excadrill is good at setting up hazards to chip down threats (into range of what, from who?). Air Balloon Gholdengo is also a decent teammate, as it is immune to Fighting- and Flying-type attacks, which gives the user a chance to save Excadrill as a potential sack or saving its Rapid Spin for later (and maintains rocks by blocking defog and rapid spin?). Taunt from the Arceus formes and Deoxys really ruin Excadrill, so having a Pokemon like Zamazenta-C who can threaten these Arceus forms, will be good to have.
