Welcome to Ironmons! In this mod, we will be making new Paradox forms for existing Pokémon, both past (Scarlet) and future (Violet)! This mod will be SV-based.
Important things to note
  • Paradox forms always have Iron in their names If they are Violet exclusives (ex: Iron Jugulis, Iron Bundle) but not if they are Scarlet exclusives (ex: Great Tusks, Flutter Mane, Roaring Moon)
  • Maximum of four subs, two for Past and two for Future.
  • Paradox forms always have 570 (except specific paradoxes that have important mega inspiration or are based on Legendaries, thus having 590 BST)
  • Past Paradox have ALL stats being odd, while Future Paradox have ALL even stats.
  • Must share at least one type with its base Pokemon. (ex: Paradox Venusaur must have either Grass or Poison type)
  • Past Paradox have Protosynthesis as their ability, and Future Paradox have Quark Drive.
  • Paradox Pokémon can use the Energy Booster item to replicate their ability effects.
  • One signature move per sub is allowed.
  • If you want to use other people's artwork, please add their socials or the source of the artwork. Something like "from Pinterest" is not allowed.
  • Everything else is fair game.

Description: Big base Attack with Megahorn. Scarf can tear apart a lot of offensive mons while still applying decent pressure and having pivoting and even Stone Axe, but Rocks weakness makes this a bit hard to pull off. Boots with Spikes and Knock might be nice, but might lack some offensive pressure. STAB combo is pretty bad, struggling with Fighting and Steel especially, so you'll have a lot of work to do against Great Tusk especially.

Description: This is more of a flavor sub tbh, I thought a Psychic type trapped in Ice would be kinda cool concept-wise for past. An extra Spinner is nice though and it has wide coverage to threaten much of the metagame. Meteor Beam is also pretty crazy, but you have to give up on both Boots and Booster Energy for it which is a bit hard.

Description: Fat wall that serves as hazard control. Typing is a bit mediocre defensively but it makes up for it in sheer utility and insane bulk. While it loses access to moves such as Encore and Thunder Wave to annoy the opponent, having both dual hazards and Rapid Spin is very solid. Its also very strong with a high attack stat combined with an offensive typing that goes well with coverage moves such as Earthquake and Close Combat, although it might be too slow for Band and Swords Dance sets. However, its quite slow, has some notable weaknesses, and has less than optimal special bulk.

Its typing also makes sun more problematic for it despite the ability.

However, its main issues are its middling speed tier, weakness to common types, and possibly being forced to run Boots even if it would like another item such as Booster Energy.

However, its good but not amazing speed allows it to be easily outsped, and has some nasty weaknesses to types such as Fire and Ice. It is also reliant on set-up or Leaf Storm to be a threat.

Description: Based off Rubica Cube Worlds and similar novelty electronic toys. The reason for the Ice-type is due to the existence of Winter Firefly that can survive sub-freezing temperatures, hence the name, and the fact the far futuristic toys would be better prepared against sub-zero cold temperature.

Taking place over Iron Bundle as the “Ice-type Paradox”, Iron Light have a far worse defensive typing, Special Attack and Speed, but have access of Quiver Dance, Tail Glow, Swords Dance, Fell Stinger, U-Turn, High Jump Kick / Aura Sphere / Focus Blast, Lunge, Acrobatics, Thunder Wave and Play Rough. It wants to either Terastalize into another type like Electric, or run Heavy-Duty Boots over Energy Booster, due to 4x weakness to Rock and thus Stealth Rock, to make the most of Cleanser Flash.

Description: Based on the Beelzebufo frog, a cretaceous frog with a huge mouth and predatory habits. There are currently no poison-type paradox Pokemon, and when combined with the much more defensive typing in poison/dark Panic Maw is a safe bet to tank some hits before dishing out the damage (sorry toxicroak, you don't have what it takes to backup 85 Spe).

Strong mixed attacks alongside its high HP and good defensive typing let it stay in and force the opponent to switch carefully given the variety of potential sets available - while its low speed and so-so defenses on both sides means once the opponent knows what its dealing with they can pressure a switch. Ice punch removed to give this thing an actual weakness in ground.

Flavour:

Panic Maw: The predator that cant be satisfied?!

This intimidating creature brings to mind the ancient beasts that roamed the world before even dinosaur Pokemon. While it resembles toxicroak of the modern day, it lacks their grace and agility, but more than makes up for it with sheer aggression. Observations of its insatiable appetite have lead scientists to believe they hunted all their prey to extinction before running out of food. It's name comes from a creature in the Scarlet Book known for swallowing anything in its path.

Panic Maw, the Paradox Pokémon.
Scarlet Entry: This Pokemon has been encountered more frequently over time. It resembled a massive predator identified in a certain book.
Violet Entry: Its monstrous appetite resembles that of a creature describe in a paranormal magazine, described as the most dangerous creature of its time.

Flip Turn and Spikes further differentiate it in its role, and it can check many threats in the metagame such as Ting-Lu, Gholdengo, and Cinderace.

Iron Bandit goes from a hazard setter and Ghost check to a powerful set up sweeper thanks to Booster Energy + SD. Bandit has within it's toolkit many means of annoying the opposition and its typing has many defensive and defensive attributes that prove useful for the tier. Its yet another spinner that can beat Gholdengo lowering it's effectiveness as hazard deterrent. It hates Fairies and other Ghost types so one should bear that in mind when using it.

Description: Basically, imagine Gurren Lagann, the mecha from... well, Gurren Lagann. What makes me laugh so much is that Nintendo actually referenced Gurren Lagann multiple times.

Anyway, utility Pokemon, it hits kinda hard but is kinda slow without Rapid Spin, has no setup option, has Recover as well as utility with Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock, but it cannot fit everything at once, and suffer from the comparison with the likes of Great Tusk or Iron Hands.

The user strikes a piece of flint with their weapon, launching it at the target as it sparks. 10% chance to inflict a burn. Move is either Rock- or Fire-type, depending on which is more effective against the target. (Functions like Vaporemons Flying Press/Software Crash)

Comp. Justification: Slow bulky phys attacker, matches up decently into some of the top threats as a revenge killer. High bulk but no recovery, Flint Strike lets it hit almost anything for at least good damage no matter what, trolls a lot of mons looking to defensively Tera. Match up well into :gholdengo: with no chip, smash :kingambit:, and :great-tusk: is scary but if they don't kill you in one hit, demolish with Play Rough. Also has good utility movepool with rocks, wisp over twave, and Knock Off.

Description: Caveman Tinkaton. The varying shades of pink across their body are replaced with shades of dark and desaturated reds. The ends of their hair and hands are spiky instead of rounded, messy looking with two small bone "braids", one on each side. Their "belt" thing has the pointy stones on it replaced with chunks of flint. They wear a large, dusty corvid skull on their head (no points for guessing who's it is), acting as a mask that obscures only their eyes, which become yellow dots in shadowed eye holes. The top of their hair peaks out the top of the bird skull, shaped to closer resemble a flame. Their hammer is replaced by a large club/torch hybrid, with a large bone as a support and entwined with sticks and dead plants to tie it together, a constant flame lit at the top.

First Flame: The Missing Link?!


This curious creature's name was taken from the Scarlet Book, where a similarly strange creature that looks just like it was documented. Despite looking like a Tinkaton, it doesn't hold a hand-made hammer, but a much cruder torch. It reportedly is incapable of producing fire itself, but the torch it holds is always lit, leading to theories that it's smart enough to start fires using natural tools. Could this ancient enigma be responsible for teaching primitive man how to wield fire themselves?

The user sends a disorienting pulse to the target, making them flinch and disabling their ability for 3 turns. It works only on the first turn each time the user is sent into battle.

Comp. Justification: Fast special attacker/utility mon, taking a support role like Scream Tail without being nearly as passive. Can Leech Seed, Thunder Wave, Defog, set screens, and Signal Jam, which is a pseudo-Fake Out with no priority, but Iron Tower's natural high speed should cover for it. The ability suppression is big, doesn't affect Proto/Quark abils, but lets it neuter, say, Supreme Overlord :kingambit:, Unaware :dondozo:, Protean/Libero :greninja::meowscarda::cinderace:, etc. If you need a power boost, one of the rare mons that gets access to Tail Glow but its current SpA is decent enough as a support mon.

Description: Robo-Sceptile with a radio tower/cellphone tower tail, a creative reinterpretation of its Mega having Lightning Rod. Eyes just glow a pure neon green, laser gun hidden inside its mouth. The "bulbs" on its back are replaced with actual light bulbs that turn off/light up as it charges up.

Iron Tower: Manipulative, Brainwashing Menace?!


A Pokemon that looks like a Sceptile has been spotted up on high outside towns and cities with its tail pointed skyward. It's a deadringer for an enigma recorded in the ever-intriguing Violet Book. It interferes with radio waves and transmits garbled noise, but for what purpose is unknown. Some theorize it to be a mating call, others saying its trying to brainwash people and Pokemon to do its bidding! Neither have been confirmed, but it's probably for the best to not listen to this creature's strange song for long...

Role: Fast physical attacker / pivot. I made sure its atk was high enough to be able to get the proto boost instead of max speed with proper investment, which makes sweeper sets with Hone Claws + STAB Gunk Shot all the more enticing. Hollow Claw would have the 3rd highest base speed in the tier, and it doesn't have a particularly bad matchup against the two mons that outspeed it, those being Dragapult and Zamazenta - this lets it use its stellar typing to pivot, spread poison, and U-turn out if things get dicey. I'm not evil enough to give it koff though
Flavor: Terrestrial Crobat, uses its wings as legs to chase and hunt prey. Inspired by these guys from After Man.

Role: By far the most enticing trait of this mon is Seed Flare off a base 122 SpA, which can hit even harder after a CM or NPlot. This is by no means a sweeper though: Maybe you could find results with Choice Scarf, but its average bulk and speed and terrible typing defensively makes it easy to force out or KO. Still has a couple of desirable traits though, for example being able to outspeed all the OU grounds, resist their Ground STAB, and then threaten a KO with Ice Beam/Freeze Dry.
