Following the recent survey which was proposed earlier this week, the UU Council decided to held a vote on Iron Hands. Heres the result :
Iron Hands is now banned from SV UU !
Iron Hands in UU is a long love-hate story. It has always been an incredible Pokémon in the tier thanks to its massive bulk, great coverage and access to Swords Dance which allowed it to be a really dangerous threat ; able to dent even great defensive staples such as Slowking, Hippowdon or Bellibolt. Its sheer bulk allowed it to setup vs a lot of offensive threats such Tornadus-T, Weavile or Scizor. With our most recent shifts, Iron Hands lost one of its best check : Skeledirge, which forced it to run Earthquake if it wanted to beat if effectively. With this check gone, Iron Hands can now freely run Ice Punch to punish Sinistcha, a fantastic check to its Earthquake variants. It can also opt for more Tera options which was tougher to justify before due to Skeledirge's Will-O-Wisp. Iron Hands also gain some fantastic support thanks to Ninetales-Alola's Aurora Veil which amplifies its bulk even more, allowing it to setup vs almost any Pokémon in the tier. Booster Energy variants are deadly under those conditions and push even further Iron Hands sheer force. For those reasons, the council has decided to remove it from the tier.
