each of the little boxes is a minecraft chest, which has 27 slots, each of which can store up to 64 items. scar is known for having "chest monsters", or piles of unorganized chests full of random items. this is the biggest one i've ever seen, and could possibly take hours to go through and properly organize. truly the stuff of nightmares.

I know this one because I am a dweeb. GoodTimesWithScar plays on the Hermitcraft server and eventually another player on the server, MumboJumbo built an automatic sorting system for organizing the vast majority of items in that chest monster. If I recall correctly, it took somewhere between 3 to 4 weeks just for the items to be fully moved AUTOMATICALLY.
The so called Chest Monster 2.0 is larger than max render distance in Java Minecraft.

Unless frighteningly, that's not his Hermitcraft chest monster...
