This is my first RMT, I would like some suggestions.
This team was made during Matsuricon of 2011. No two pokes could share a type. I would like to keep it if effect cause I'm weird like that, but if something is MUCH better then I'll oblige. SO! Teambuilding! Also, My EVs are weird cause well, they're custommade for certain things.
I wanted to start with a duo who could tank. Ferrothorn and Jellicent.
Then I needed someone to sap up ground attacks. Gliscor.
I needed 2 bulky sweepers who could support themselves. Reuniclus and Scrafty.
At last, Spinners are VERY IMPORTANT. So I went with Cyrogonal. -it was the ONLY one who didnt suck or shared typing-
So Here's my team!
Ferrothorn @ Shed Shell
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs 44 HP/188 ATK/88 DEF/188 SDEF (IVs 0 SPE)
Nature: Sassy (+SDEF -SPD)
~Power Whip -STAB against many of the Waters clogging the meta right now-
~Stealth Rock -One hazard that's effortless to set up, useful to rack up hits-
~Gyro Ball -invaluable STAB to stop speedy opponents-
~Leech Seed -nessesary to stay alive without precious lefties-
This thing gives me the creeps. he's saved me from Outrage a few times. He covers physical and special well with his unique bulk. Shed Shell is to avoid Magnezone trappings. Rain teams arent safe when he's around. Sun teams gobble him up. Need to fix that.
Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs 108 HP/ 252 DEF/ 132 SDEF 16 SPD
Nature: Bold (+DEF -ATK)
~Recover -healing move with reliability!-
~Scald -STAB with a 30% burn rate. Makes Phy. Attackers useless!-
~Hex -Alternate STAB that doubles in BP when the target has status. Nice!-
~Protect -Sometimes, I need a freebie turn for burn/lefties-
This jellyfish makes a nice little splash. It can take some special hit, usually used for spinblocking. Since Tentacruel is the MOST common spinner I've seen since rain is dominant, I use him to block those nasty jellies. Water Absorb is useful to net Gliscor some insurance.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs 76 HP/ 252 SDEF/ 180 SPD
Nature: Careful (+SDEF -SATK)
~Swords Dance -Give me +2ATK when I really need it-
~Protect -Saves him a turn to get either poisoned, or from an attack-
~Earthquake -STAB that hurts a large portion of the meta-
~Ice Fang -Coverage for things that avoid my EQ-
Gliscor covers my lovely Ground weakness that no one has but cannot take a neutral hit form. Poison heal is a nice 12% HP every turn, and It's damn useful. Mostly he is here to take out Dragons and Tentacruel, who loves being on folks teams. Also to come in on a Tbolt/Thunder aimed at poor Jellicent. Usually can pick off a few weakened pokes late game.
Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs 160 HP/ 212 DEF/ 136 SDEF (IVs 0 SPD)
Nature: Bold (+DEF -ATK)
~Recover -Once again, reliable revocery when I need it!-
~Calm Mind -Build up with a +1SATK/+1SDEF to take hits, dish out pain-
~Psyshock -STAB, used mostly on Specially defensive walls-
~Focus Blast -Ehh I hate the accuracy, but it's hurts when it hits.-
The dark horse rides from the night. Reuniclus straight up is my go to guy to take hits from anything but Darks/Ghosts of course. Status Absorber supreme next to Scrafty. Used to help Keep myself to losing to Specalli inclined sweepers. If I can get 1~2 CMs withour needing Recover, I'll be okay for the most part. Poor Reuniclus hates Pursuit. So coverage is important I kinda wanna use HP(Fighting) But I'm unsure. Might test it. I rarely use Focus Blast anyways.
Scrafty @ Leftovers
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs 120 HP/ 212 DEF/ 176SDEF
Nature: Sassy (+SDEF -SATK)
~Bulk Up -Useful +1ATK for damage and +1DEF for bulk-
~Rest -Not instant but still awesome paired with his ability-
~Drain Punch -STAB that gives a little more back with each use!-
~Ice Punch -Another attacking option that serves use against dragons-
Word UP! This guy is my prime status absorber. Shed Skin is lovely, so is Rest. If I get burned, then I can sleep it off and get it healed. But there's still a chance of sleeping BOTH turns. Nonetheless, I still love that he can take a hit and deliver it back. I might go with Crunch so I can scare enemy Reuniclus, adn other Psychics as well as have a STAB. But Ice Punch is more of use as of now with all the dragons running rampant.
Cyrogonal @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs 76 HP/ 252 DEF/ 180 SPD
Nature: Bold (+DEF -ATK)
~Ice Beam -the STAB of choice so I'm not Taunt bait-
~Light Screen -boosts my awesome SDEF to stellar levels!-
~Reflect -boosts my crap DEF to OK levels...-
~Rapid Spin -GET THAT OFF MY LAWN!!-
This is my team glue, everything else I need to hold my ground. Well, Wish and Heal Bell would be nice but I dont have it. So I have to make do with you. Where was I? Oh yeah!! This thing rocks. It gives me screens! which helps the others out for 7~8 turns, it also can spin! USEFUL TING THAT IS THIS GEN. Ice Beam is to keep my snowy behind form being Taunt bait.
THREATS!
Taunt, Encore: OHMYGOD. I can't do anything for 3 turns! I'll get over it.
SUN: half of my team is either weak or powered down from Suns' gaze.
Status: Ferrocent will wear down quick. Burn is the worst. it affect them both, Ferro loses some of it's attack power, and Jelli can heal that well... Wish + Heal Bell would be nice on this team.
