iight so I’m gonna start this off with a few shits.
This is my first attempt at a sun team this gen and its actually works. its gone through a few iterations but I’m liking this a bit. Got this up to 1600 in a day after a VERY painful start. Even won a match in the 1900s by accident bc I forgot to switch accounts.
sucker punch is very useful to check the dragon in line as well as the toxtricity, shit is powerful. if I weren't afraid of ditto id go adamant but you need that nuance to beat it, pyro ball + plate + sun does a fuck load

A dumb set that laughs at Ferro and Drill, but also shits on Dugtrio. Hits fairly hard and sets up easily because it forces switches. Note that +1 LO Fire Punch still can't OHKO physdef Ferro.
A couple weeks ago I saw some madlad running this on the ladder. It sets up on a lot defensive mons, notably Sylveon, and is incredibly hard to stop if it gets two CSouls off. Still allergic to Clefable and Hatterene. EV spread gives it 301 HP for subs.
I made this to serve as a wallbreaker, forgoing CB for flexibility and cleaning up late-game with +2 Sneak. Spooky Plate gives a sizable damage boost without having LO recoil cut into Aegi's bulk. It also bluffs Band which is neat. Unboosted Sneak does like 75% to Dragapult.
The other stuff is reasonably standard and needs no explanation.

also shoutout to Srn for completing this team with the mew. I was testing a DDance, psychic fangs, fire blast, CC mew with psychic plate and while good just was missing power. shit was fun. like 1800 but not 2000 level.

Pincurchin really does hit surprisingly hard with a Choice Band and Zing Zap also being boosted by the Terrain. Liquidation is useful against ground types that want to switch into an electric attack. Sucker Punch kills a Dragapult after just a bit of chip damage (84.5 - 99.6% with 0 HP and 0 Def).

With 180 Speed investment and Unburden activated Hawlucha outspeeds a Scarf Dragapult. The rest ist pretty straight forward. Two very strong stabs and Swords Dance for boosting. With the 76 HP and the defense boost from Electric Seed it's still pretty bad defensively but can live at least something against neutral physical attacks.
Here's one replay of Pincurchin getting 4 kills in one game. I think it was around 1300-1400. I sadly have not saved any more replays.
Got the ugliest and worst hail team in history but somehow got it to mid 1500's. Auto loses to cinderace, toaster, and cloyster but dunking ferro pex corv has never been more fun than with the fridge.
Abomasnow is mega ass but the fridge needs the hail to dick defensive cores. Most of the time u just veil up, but sometimes after the fridge nukes a defensive core blizzard can put in work. Evs are to outspeed max speed crawdaunt plus sirfetchd then rest in attack just in case u need to pick off a pult lategame with shard. But this mon is deadweight 9/10 times rofl. Subseed just means ur not getting enough fridge blizzspam in and u need the icy rock to guarantee as many hail turns as possible for it.
This is the only reason to use hail rn imo. Switch this in on a defensive core and if they don't have the toaster or if its dead, something is dying after a NP. 2 shots ferro, pex, corv, buzz, clef, and if its not max spdef sylveon that gets blown back also. This thing is actually so much fun to use, and if the opponent sacks too many defensive mons with this than pult and cinderace go ham in the endgame. I've been running volt switch as the last move but tbh running dark pulse would probably be better if u wanna go for the speed tie with the toaster. Volt switch is so good tho cuz ground types 100% don't wanna come in on a blizzard in hail so ur free to spam it before u go for ur np.

Physdef Kommo-o running enough speed to outspeed sirfetchd and crawdaunt and enough defense to get 4hkod by scarf vish. Iron defense is a good check to belly drum and dd kommo lategame if they don't have a dragon move u can usually 1v1 if u didn't lose too much HP. This is the teams only switchin to the toaster too. Tbh u probably don't need this much speed on this but outspeeding crawdaunt when ur low on HP is pretty good sometimes.
This is just pult but it has pump as a fuck you to rotom cuz the fridge gets enough damage on corv and pex so tbolt isn't needed. Tbolt or flamthrower would prolly b better but dropping a pump on a rotom / cinderace that thinks ur just gonna uturn is one of the most funniest things ever and this team is super weak to rotom so its koo. U-turn needed to get the fridge in on defensive mons. Needs to be timid cuz this team sucks so some games will b down to a pult speedtie.

i like this - few things though, no real need for the spdef evres on the kommo,nothing is really gonna ohko you that didnt ko you before specially, plus the boosts in damage output. as for the dragapult idk if thats the right set to user here, especially since you have veil, id try other dragons or specifically dragon dancing dragons.

I’m actually gonna piggyback off of this and give my own version. I tried out this team - starting off at like 1920. It didnt work in high ladder and I kept going down for several reasons until I hit the 1600s, made my changes then hit 1800.
This was for a few reasons but mainly - honestly I’m pretty sick of the dragons bro. them shits are so fucking oppressive; I was even forced to use one of em. the main 3 dragons are so fucking oppressive and so is dugtrio that it is legit just negative value to play. Council needs to change shit bro what is wrong with yall. any fucking way heres the squad with my changes
quick notes - I’m seriously thinking about changing the rotom to modest, but I havent tested it enough yet. seriously though, definitely thinking modest.

ur def right on the kommo evs going full into def, i changed that up and it was way better. does plate fridge pick up any kos that need to be picked up? although i guess the longevity doesn't really matter on it cuz it dies to any offensive mon that outspeeds it anyway. gotta try out the cone but i feel like abomasnow comes in on a few more things cuz of the grass typing but idk gotta see. this is fire tho lmaooooo
edit: laddered with the revised team, easily broke 1600 in like 5 games, cone confirmed frosty and modest fridge is the way to go, so far I haven’t been in a situation where I wish I was timid. Pref uturn on cinderace still to soften up toad + get fridge in on it tho.
Quick note for anybody trying to replicate these teams on cartridge: replace any plates with their respective boosting items (i.e Meadow Plate -> Miracle Seed, Frost Plate -> NeverMeltIce, Spooky Plate -> Spell Tag, Flame Plate -> Charcoal, etc) except for the Pixie Plate, as it is the only Plate that exists & can be legitimately obtained in SS.

Dragapult @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 8 HP / 248 Atk / 252 SpA
Naive Nature
- Dragon Darts
- U-turn
- Shadow Ball/Hex
- Fire Blast/Will-O-Wisp
Mixed Dragapult just got very, very cursed. Because Dragapult's base speed is so dumb it's unreal, just running +Spe nature with no investment leaves every mon at base 110 or below (including mons such as Gengar, Durant and Froslass) for dead. And actually, running no Spe EVs with a +Spe nature gives you more SpA than EVing to pass base 110 then going for a +SpA nature, with some EVs left over too. Eving with a +Atk nature gets you to the same offensive stats, but you lose a point in Spe and HP. And why the 8 HP? That brings Dragapult's HP to 319, a magical number where both Life Orb recoil and Stealth Rock damage are minimised. In fact, Toxic/Burn damage is also minimised by this number too. 319 is the perfect amount of HP. Only totals like 159 and 479 HP have as many good properties, and those totals are inconvenient for most mons. Anyway, this set is for those who want to play Specs, but hate getting choice locked and not being able to work with Dragapult's 120 ATK, and hate being locked into Draco Meteor.
I don't have any replays, so delete this if that's issue. Or steal it and get some replays yourself, I don't really care.

I mad a set like this when I first started - you honestly could remove uturn and just have dragon dance and itd be faster and stronger than every other dragon dancer in the game other than itself. such a dumb mon
