[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance Groudon has great stats as a donor and asserts itself individually thanks to it's defensive matchup against physically offensive opponents such as Rayquaza, Zamazenta, Victini and Urshifu-Rapid-Strike. Setting up Stealth Rock puts heavy pressure upon foes like Kyurem-B, Kyurem-W and Blacephalon which can threaten Groudon as well as effectively break Rayquaza's Focus Sash and prevent Moltres-Galar from using it as settup fodder, putting it in range of Stone Edge. Paired with Swords Dance, Precipice Blades is Groudon's best STAB ground type move with an immense damage output against defences, OHKOing HP invested Zamazenta and being able to 2HKO Base 150 Defence Clefable and Base 100 HP Ferrothorn. Groudon takes full advantage of stats by running maxing out it's HP stat and running 240 Defence, however 16 Speed EVs allow Groudon to outspeed Victini at -1 after a V-Create.

Groudon donates its stats to Pokemon that appreciate a heavy Defence and Attack boost. Both Ferrothorn and Rotom-W greatly benefit from Groudon's base 100 HP stat, giving Rotom-W a slightly better matchup against physical attackers and Ferrothorn a better matchup against special attackers that threaten Groudon, such as Kartana, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike and Rillaboom. Physical attackers such as Victini and Zygarde-10% take advantage of Groudon's huge base 150 attack stat, especially Victini which also has a sun boosted V-Create against defences, such as Clefable, Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, Rotom-W and so much more. The aforementioned Clefable, and Tangrowth, can receive amazing buffs in their Defence and Special Defence stats respectively which can be game changing for them. Because of it's sub-par stats, Groudon will either sit in the Special Defence or Speed slot which can either improve Kartana, Tangrowth, Skarmory or Urshifu-Rapid-Strike's Special Defence as well as Heatran or Buzzwole's Speed.

Other Options
=============
Groudon can choose to run an offensive set with Heat Crash over Stealth Rock and opt for a Life Orb instead of leftovers. This allows Groudon to optimise it's potential as a wallbreaker. Alternatively, Groudon fits well on sun teams and can therefore choose to run a Heat Rock for either defensive or an offensive set to prolong sun.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Attackers**: Special threats such as Kyurem-White, Tapu Lele, Lunala and Blacephalon all have the edge over Groudon, whether it be through Super Effective damage, a high stat donation, type resist or weather boosted STAB damage. Groudon can check some of these threats, but if get a free switch in, it is in danger.

**Grass Types**: Rillaboom, Kartana and Dhelmise, whilst physical attackers, can take advantage of Groudon's lack of recovery and use it as setup fodder with Swords Dance and KO it after one or two hits from their STAB grass type moves.
