Sap Sipper lets Gogoat switch in against Cacturne and opposing Gogoat. An unboosted Gogoat appreciates physically defensive Pokemon like Misdreavus and Quaxwell as partners; in return, Gogoat checks special attackers like Golduck and Raichu. Even with Rock Slide, Gogoat enjoys support from checks to Fire-types like Camerupt, Grumpig, and specially defensive Gabite to ease its setup opportunities; Camerupt notably absorbs Will-O-Wisp from Misdreavus. Naturally fast Pokemon like Basculin and Choice Scarf Lycanroc-M can pick off wallbreakers like Squawkabilly and Glaceon, preventing them from easily defeating Gogoat. Skuntank can absorb Toxic Spikes for Gogoat and check Poison-types like Haunter and opposing Skuntank.

Rock Slide provides key coverage against Flying- and Fire-types like Vivillion Vivillon, but you can replace this one with masquerain to avoid repetition, Rotom-C Rotom-S. Rotom-C is the grass one, Pyroar and Houndoom. While Terastalizing to Water, it can even beat typical checks like Vivillion Vivillon, Houndoom, and Haunter! Sap Sipper gives Gogoat switch-in opportunities against Cacturne and non-Terastalized Lilligant don't love this example since the matchup isn't really ever in your favor, i'd mention opposing gogoat instead since it's the most common grass in the tier atm. An unboosted Gogoat appreciates physically defensive Pokemon like Misdreavus and Quaxwell as switch-ins; in return, Gogoat can check special attackers like Cacturne Magneton, Golduck, and Raichu. Even with Rock Slide, checks to Fire-types like Camerupt, Grumpig, and specially defensive Gabite can ease its setup opportunities gogoat is also easily crippled by misdreavus's wisp so camerupt helps a ton with that too. Naturally fast Pokemon like Choice Scarf Rotom-F rose to nu and Dugtrio not an amazing squawk check since tera normal quick attack has a chance to ko from full. basculin and scarf lycanroc-m would be better examples can pick off wallbreakers like Squawkability Squawkabilly and Glaceon, preventing them from easily defeating Gogoat.

if you have spare characters, skuntank is also a really good partner that absorbs tspikes for gogoat and eases the mu against haunter and opposing skunks
