Gigalith
[QC 1/3]
[OVERVIEW]

* Starts up a Sandstorm on entry that increases its Special Defence while also boosting possible Sand Rush ability users.
* Trades the reliable recovery and electric immunity Hippowdon offers for effective short term tanking.
* Unlike Hippowdon it resists two more types in return for 3 more weaknesses.
* More suited to offensive teams due to its lack of self recovery.
* Offers Stealth Rock while pivoting into both Physical and Special Attackers thanks to its great natural bulk and 1.5x special defence boost from sand.
* Has a shallow movepool however it has great coverage and a decent Attack stat.

[Set]
Name: Big Pebble
Move 1: Stealth Rock
Move 2: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
Move 3: Earthquake
Move 4: Toxic
Item: Leftovers / Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

*Stealth Rock is a way of punishing switches as well as wearing down checks with added sand damage.
*Rock Blast is more accurate, has more PP, is capable of preventing Pokemon from attempting to Substitute or Roost stall, and breaks Focus Sashes on Pokemon like Aerodactyl or Frosslass.
*Stone Edge is more consistent in doing damage over Rock Blast however the lower accuracy can be detrimental.
*Earthquake is great coverage and complements rock STAB in offering great neutral coverage.
*Stone Edge is more consistent in doing damage over Rock Blast.
*The last slot is mostly filler but being able to Toxic common Defog users is a great asset to hazard users.

Set Details
========

* The EV spread is used to prevent Choice Specs Kyurem from 2HKOing Gigalith under sand, with the rest of the EVs placed into HP and Defense to maximize its overall bulk
* Leftovers are preferred as they allow for Gigalith to stay healthier for longer periods of time thanks to passive recovery.
* Smooth Rock allows for 8 turns over the usual 5 of Sandstorm in exchange for loss of passive recovery.

Usage Tips
========

* Gigalith's most common partners appreciate the sand up as soon as possible, so leading with it and getting hazards up is usually a fine decision.
* Be sure to use it carefully on sand teams with keeping a Sandstorm up being one of its largest niches.
* Be wary of your sand turns as switching into a Special Attackers on your last turn of sand means you will be taking 1.5x more damage the turn after on top of not being able to start up a Sandstorm again until the next time you switch in.

Team Options
========

* Rapid Spin users such as Starmie or Tentacruel are generally better partners than Defog Users as this allows you to minimise the amount of switch-ins Gigalith has to make in order to preserve hazards on the field.
* Sandstorm racks up residual damage each turn so pairing it with Pokemon who are unaffected by this such as Magic Guard users like Reuniclus who also happen to resist fighting types are great partners.
* Steel types such as Cobalion resist grass types; one of Gigalith's major weaknesses while also providing a strong win condition as a Swords Dance sweeper.
* Sand Rush ability users such as Stoutland or Lycanroc can take advantage of the sand in order to become fast wallbreakers or cleaners.
* Sand teams generally stack Pokemon that are weak to water and grass types, so dragons such Latias with Healing Wish are great partners for Gigalith; as this can offer a sand abuser another shot at sweeping.
* Make sure not to use Pokemon like Tsareena as the Sandstorm reduces the amount of health points Tsareena receives from synthesis.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Toxic can be replaced with Explosion possibly creating an opportunity for a late game clean with a Sand Rush partner.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-Types**: Pokemon such as Swampert, Slowbro, or Suicune generally counter Gigalith thanks to their typing, bulk, or forms of self recovery.

**Fighting-Types**: Pokemon like Keldeo or Conkeldurr can switch into any move Gigalith can use while the latter even takes advantage of toxic with a Guts boost.

**Steel-Types**: While Pokemon such as Cobalion or Bisharp have to stay wary of Earthquake, they can still take out a slightly weakened Gigalith with their stabs.

**Ground-Types: Pokemon such as Gliscor or Krookodile hard counter Gigalith.

**Grass-Types**: While still taking significant damage from Stone Edge, most grass types like Celebi or Decidueye can take advantage of Gigalith.

using pearls format since it looks really nice o_o

[OVERVIEW]

- Mention Hippo's electric immunity in particular as another thing that makes it stand out from Gigalith.
*Offers Stealth Rock while Pivoting into both physical and Special attackers. // Mention that this is because of Gigalith's good natural bulk and the SpD boost it gains from sand.
*Carries decent attack and coverage; removing much of its passivity. // Change this to something mentioning that is has a pretty shallow movepool, but its coverage is enough to let it hit most things in the tier.

[SET - UTILITY]

- Change Move 2 and Move 3 around, Rock STAB is way more useful than EQ lol

*Rock blast is more accurate, has more PP, and is capable of preventing Pokemon from attempting to substitute or roost stall, however Stone Edge has more consistent damage. // Mention that Rock Blast is important for hitting Focus Sash users like Aerodactyl and Froslass.

*Earthquake is great coverage as well as a 100% accurate attack for Gigalith to be using. // Earthquake being 100% accurate is definitely a benefit of using it compared to its STAB moves, but I think what's more important is how it complements them..EdgeQuake covers a lot neutrally as I said before.

*Stealth Rock on the sand setter is great role compression on sand teams. // You should probably mention why you'd actually use SR lol..as in that it provides hazard damage - providing chip dmg and wearing down Pokemon is a must, and it's especially nice in conjunction with sand.

*Slot 4 is mostly filler but being able to toxic common defoggers is a great asset to hazard users. // Just call this the last slot

For Usage Tips.. it is pretty much ONLY used on sand offense, so don't say "usually used on sand teams" and "use it carefully on sand teams" cause sand is pretty much the only thing that makes it viable in the first place.

For Team Options, be specific about the spinner options, just give specific mon examples (Starmie, Tentacruel, Tsareena).

*Sand storms rack up residual damage per turn on Pokemon not steel, ground, or rock on top of boosting a rock types Sp.def by 1.5x. So pairing it up with Pokemon who can take advantage of this such as Cobalion or Mega-Aerodactyl is effective. // I think this sentence is just weird as a whole - having a sand immunity isn't why Cobalion is a good partner, and Mega Aerodactyl is kind of weird on sand teams as a whole if you're running Gigalith.

*Sand teams generally stack Pokemon that are weak to water and grass types, so dragons such as Hydreigon or Latias are great partners for Gigalith. // Mention that Latias can provide Healing Wish support for sand abusers.

*Make sure the rest of the team isn't too hindered by a Sandstorm as Pokemon who rely on Synthesis or Moonlight have their forms of recovery crippled. // This sentence is also pretty wonky lol, the only partner that runs that that would work relatively well with Giga imo is Tsareena, but you can add that as a slight addon to the Spinner bit. Do that and remove this sentence as a whole oo

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

This one needs to be reworked almost entirely I think. You have to go into specifics for what mons in particular are good against it (i.e. Swampert / Suicune / Slowbro for Water-types). Mention what bulky Water-types are good and what offensive ones works. Same with Grass-types too. Why do Keldeo and Cobalion get their own section in particular? Just add them in Fighting-types honestly lol. Add a Ground-type section as well (put Gliscor into there obviously). Finally, add a section for bulky Pokemon as a whole (Clefable, Blissey, etc).

That's mainly content wise, but I already talked to you about some grammar stuff on PS that needs to be fixed (*Making full use of Gigalith's great overall bulk we run a mixed defences spread with physical bias....). I'll go over some of this stuff with you on Discord / PS if you need any help, but once that's done I'll stamp this.
