Fur Coat Miraidon is an excellent support Pokemon due to its favorable typing and high Speed, crucially outspeeding threats like Mega Mewtwo X and Kartana to neutralize them with Strength Sap. Thunder Cage provides a consistent, high PP STAB move that is effective at wearing down checks such Ice Scales Arceus-Fairy. Passive damaging moves synergize well with Thunder Cage; Mortal Spin provides entry hazard removal in a pinch and is effective against Imposter users, while Leech Seed and Salt Cure are alternate options that also prevent Imposter users from removing the partial trapping of Thunder Cage. Calm Mind allows Miraidon to act as a bulky setup sweeper, with Lava Plume pressuring checks like Mega Steelix and Ferrothorn, while Judgment hits Dragon-types like opposing Miraidon; however, Calm Mind should never be used with Salt Cure.
