Pros:
- Great offensive typing and enough coverage to cover most corners
- Amazing Special Attack and Speed alongside Special Defense of the same caliber
- Very easy to manipulate what stat Protosynthesis affects
Cons:
- Poor HP and Defense, as well a very mediocre typing defensively
- Quite one-dimensional; opponents can easily predict what set you're running
- Forced to run a sun setter or Booster Energy if you want to get maximum value out of Protosynthesis (but given its raw power, this isn't really a huge deal in my opinion)

Terastylizing Potential:
- A Ghost Terastal type seems to be a good option if you just want to go with sheer wallbreaking power with Flutter Mane; the same thing applies to Fairy if you want to specifically target Dark-types.
- Fire and Electric could potentially be good in order to get extra power on Mystical Fire and Thunderbolt, respectively, to break through bulky Steel- and Water-types more easily.

This will probably be Flutter Mane's best set, in my opinion. Nothing really special to mention about it; it still also has Psyshock and Power Gem as other coverage options, but I think the range Mystical Fire and Thunderbolt covers is very difficult to pass on. If you want to utilize Protosynthesis, a Timid nature would grant it the increase in Speed, but forgoing that for Modest is completely valid if you want to even more power to Flutter Mane's punch; base 135 Speed is still super solid even without a boost from a nature.

Most of Flutter Mane's other potential sets would honestly just be changing, like, one or two aspects of this set. Choice Specs could be Life Orb or even Booster Energy, but the recoil from Life Orb hurts, and Booster Energy is only a one-time activation. Draining Kiss over Moonblast could be need to help its sustainability and complement its high Special Defense, but it's obviously much weaker offensively. Same thing benefits apply to Pain Split, but it's hard to forgo a coverage move. Taunt could be useful as well, especially with its high Speed, but again, it's difficult to give up a move slot.

i think booster energy calm mind sets should be mentioned, if not the main set, the speed is blistering, and being able to sweep w it and switch moves is as seamless as it gets, this mon is nuts
