For some reason, Shoddybattle refuses to let me use Extremespeed with Dragonite. I've tried everything I could think of, and it wouldn't work. I may just be a total noob but some help would be very much appreciated. If it matters, I'm using Mac OS X.

Did you select the correct server for the team? If not, use the Smogon University Server when it prompts you to choose the server.
If you have this correct, I would try closing and reopening the team builder, and then from there switching the slots of the pokemon. (ie: Dragonite goes from the 2nd to 5th slot in the team builder.) I think I had this issue a while back with other moves, and I think one of those 3 solutions should work.

A-ha! Connecting to Smogon University before creating the team was the answer.
