Entei (Full Revamp) +

Not many people use him. In fact, hes like never used. I've tried this forgotten legendary and I think he does need a bit of a revamp since his analysis seems to be based on theorymon, and there are references to Garchomp in this. The main thing that bothered me really was that Fire Fang is the main STAB option on every set.... Fire Fang???? Its pathetic 65 base power won't do anything. Look at these calcs, both Adamant nature, 252 Atk against a fictional 300 HP, 200 Defense / Special Defense pokemon:

Adamant 252 Attack Entei Fire Fang: 38-45%
Adamant 0 SpAtk Entei Fire Blast: 42-49%

Yup, that's how much of a difference base power makes, yet on pokemon like Entei, Flareon, Luxray, and Floatzel, we continue to try to use their physical movepools despite the fact that special attacks will hit harder anyway through higher base power. I mean, base 90 Special Attack isn't too bad, especially when this guy has Overheat, Fire Blast, Eruption, Flamethrower, and Heatwave to work with instead of Fire Fang. So enough of my ranting... on to the start of this Revamp:

[SET COMMENTS]

Will-O-Wisp is an excellent move on Entei. So many of Entei's counters absolutely hate being burned, some examples being Tyranitar, Gyarados, Rhyperior, and physical Salamence. Hidden Power Ground is there for when the inevitable Heatran or Infernape shows up. The last spot is something of a filler, but Toxic is a great answer to bulky waters. Protect can scout Choice items and stall for more burn damage, additional leftovers recovery, and PP stall with Pressure. Flamethrower is preferred here for reliability, as most things that you can't damage enough you will either status with Will-O-Wisp or switch out. Lava Plume can be used over Will-O-Wisp and Flamethrower if you want to free up a slot to use Toxic and Protect. Stone Edge could be considered for the ability to damage Gyarados and Salamence on the switch, but usually burning them is sufficient and requires Attack EVs to do any noticeable damage.

[SET COMMENTS]

Not forgetting Entei has a huge Attack stat, Entei can cause some serious damage on both ends of the spectrum. Stone Edge is Entei's best physical option, since it can deal heavy damage to the likes of Zapdos, 2HKOing even without Stealth Rock's assistance. Calm Mind pushes Entei's Special Attack even higher to deal great damage with Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Hidden Power Ground is probably your best choice for the last slot, as a +1 Hidden Power Ground can OHKO Heatran with Stealth Rock support, and other grounded Fire types don't like it much either. Hidden Power Ice can also be used deal with those pesky dragons, although Salamence and Dragonite will take a lot from Stone Edge. Blissey will also be a problem, since Stone Edge is a 3HKO at best.

If you fear Water types, Hidden Power Grass is a decent option. Bite deals more to Psychic types than Stone Edge, and is more reliable, although you will have to catch the faster ones on the switch. Return is also viable, but it is best paired with Hidden Power Grass, or Hidden Power Ground if you fear Empoleon. Entei does not have a huge amount of options available to him, but this set utilizes his most offensive ones.

[SET]
name: Calm SunnyBeamer
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Flamethrower / Fire Blast
move 3: Sunny Day
move 4: SolarBeam
item: Life Orb
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This is one of Entei's most interesting sets, and can really catch people by surprise. The idea is to feign like your running a standard Calm Minder until your opponent's Bulky Water Pokemon comes into play. Most of the time, Entei and other Fire Pokemon are completely walled by Bulky Waters, but this set is nearly guaranteed to beat all of them. As soon as Vaporeon, Suicune, and Milotic come in to play, brighten the sky with Sunny Day, effectively halving the power of their Water attacks while allowing you to use SolarBeam every turn. After a Calm Mind, Vaporeon's Surf will only be able to muster a maximum of 32%, while you can retaliate with a +1 Solarbeam, doing a minimum of 92% to the standard Vaporeon. For Suicune that choose to Calm Mind up with you while you Sunny Day, SolarBeam will still hit offensive versions for a minimum of 69%, easily 2HKOing even if they went for a second boost.

After eliminating your opponent's Bulky Water counter, Entei is free to sweep with its Fire STAB, which should decimate most pokemon as it is boosted by Calm Mind and the Sun. Flamethrower is here for reliability, but Fire Blast gives even more power, allowing you to OHKO a 385 HP Salamence with Stealth Rock damage over 50% of the time. It also has a 17% chance to 2HKO Calm Blissey with Stealth Rock, just to give you an idea of its power.

This set is most effective when paired with a Dugtrio to eliminate Tyranitar and Heatran, two pokemon that give this set significant problems.

[SET]
name: Special Choice
move1: Eruption / Overheat
move2: Hidden Power Ground
move3: Stone Edge
move4: Flamethrower / Fire Blast
item: Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
nature: Naive
evs: 80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
ivs: 29 HP

[SET COMMENTS]

Entei's offensive strength lies in its two very powerful fire moves: Overheat and Eruption. Although the common presence of Stealth Rock makes using Eruption fairly difficult, some prediction can get Entei in on slower Stealth Rockers like Hippowdon or Bronzong to unleash a massively powerful attack. However, Overheat is a much more reliable alternative and fits the hit-and-run nature of choice sets.

Hidden Power Ground provides coverage, and hits pesky Heatrans hard. Entei's huge Attack stat shouldn't be forgotten, as Stone Edge really is the only thing that differentiates this set from Typhlosion who largely performs it better. Stone Edge is a good option for catching Gyarados and Salamence on the switch, 2HKOing offensive varients of both with Stealth Rock Support. However, it should be noted that Bulkier varients will never be 2HKOed due to Leftovers. The final slot is for late-game sweeping; the difference between Flamethrower and Fire Blast always comes down to accuracy vs. power.

The Speed EVs allow Entei to outrun most Salamence, as well as positive natured base 90s.

[SET]
name: Calm Mind
move1: Calm Mind
move2: Flamethrower / Lava Plume / Fire Blast
move3: Substitute
move4: Hidden Power Ground / Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Grass
item: Leftovers
nature: Timid
evs: 184 HP / 148 SpA / 176 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Entei's high HP makes it one of the few special attackers that can conceivably attempt to overcome Blissey through special attacking alone. Calm Mind boosts Entei's average base 90 Special Attack and mediocre base 75 Special Defense enough that it should eventually be able to at least 2HKO everything in the game. One of Entei's greatest assets is its ability to create Substitutes that are greater then 100 HP, thereby forcing Blissey to use two Seismic Tosses to break each one; coupled with Entei's Pressure ability, Blissey becomes nothing more then set-up fodder.

The choice between the Fire moves and the Hidden Powers is interlocked between the two slots. Lava Plume has a high burn chance with which to threaten Salamence, Tyranitar, Gyarados, and others before Entei has many Calm Minds, while Fire Blast is much more powerful but not nearly as reliable. Ultimately, Flamethrower is the best option for an Entei that intends to sweep with six Calm Mind boosts, because it is both accurate and the attack that lets Entei beat Blissey most easily, as it has a good chance of 2HKOing, all Calm Minds considered. Hidden Power Ice is good for Salamence and Flygon, while Hidden Power Grass hits Rhyperior harder and 2HKOes Swampert without any boosts. With Hidden Power Grass, Lava Plume's viability increases because Entei then can't hit Dragons. Either way, Lava Plume is decent for Tyranitar, who takes only 26% at maximum from an unboosted Hidden Power Grass and less from Fire Blast or Flamethrower.

184 HP EVs gives Entei 417 HP total, which has been chosen for a very specific reason. Assuming there are no adverse weather conditions, Entei and Blissey enter the field simultaneously, and Blissey uses Seismic Toss immediately regardless of what Entei does, Entei can make 7 Substitutes before its HP is cut too low. As Blissey is incapable of breaking a single Substitute from Entei with one Seismic Toss, Entei is free to use Calm Mind once after each Substitute turn. Therefore, by the time Entei is making its seventh Substitute, it will have Calm Minded six times, and after Blissey uses Seismic Toss the same turn, its Substitute will remain intact. Entei would now have a 46.4% chance of 2HKOing Blissey with Flamethrower after including the burn chance, which granted isn't the most appetizing risk because if it doesn't 2HKO Blissey it will faint. However,Entei would also have wasted 28 of Seismic Toss's 32 PP by the time its seventh Substitute breaks, so a portion of preparing Entei to sweep should be eliminating at least four of Blissey's Seismic Toss PP, which isn't too complicated to accomplish. A safer course is to simply begin using Flamethrower after 5 Calm Minds, which is a guaranteed 3HKO;Entei will gain enough Leftovers recovery while Blissey uses Softboiled to make more Substitutes. Fire Blast will always 2HKO Blissey at five Calm Minds, but risks missing and subsequently being stalled out of PP.

The Speed, along with the Timid nature, is sufficient to outrun all Pokémon at base 90 Speed. Along with that comes neutral Speed nature base 100 Pokémon, and Jolly Heracross. The rest is invested in Special Attack to give Entei's unboosted attacks a bit more force.

[SET]
name: Physical Choice
move 1: Fire Fang
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Return
move 4: Iron Head
item: Choice Band
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Entei's physical movepool received a significant boost in the fourth generation with the addition of Stone Edge, but it still is very limited, with just barely enough to round out a Choice Band set. Stone Edge is for type coverage, and Fire Fang is a lackluster STAB move. Strangely enough, Return is the most powerful physical move that Entei gets (excluding Giga Impact) and is useful for just general coveragel. Iron Head is for the 2HKO on Tyranitar, who likes to switch in to this all day.

An Adamant nature will boost Entei's Attack and ensures that Stone Edge will 2HKO bulky Gyarados after Intimidate, but a Jolly nature lets Entei outrun all 90 and 95 base Speed Pokémon. Either way, Entei should have maximum Attack and Speed.

[Other Options]

Shadow Ball or Bite can hit Gengar and Starmie harder than Entei's other moves. Reflect is usable on the standard defensive set, but Will-O-Wisp essentially does the same thing and Entei is usually better off attacking. Aside from that, Entei has nothing else of worth that hasn't been mentioned.

[EVs]

In most cases, Entei's poor defensive typing make any attempts at defensive EVing futile. Therefore, when in doubt, just run 252 Speed on Entei and maximize an offensive stat. The specifics of the more finely tuned EV spreads have been discussed in the appropriate sets.

[Opinion]

Entei received numerous improvements in D/P, but nothing spectacular enough to boost it from its seat in low BL. It still suffers from a sub-par movepool and is a Fire-type upon which bulkiness is wasted. Taking 25% from Stealth Rock without an immunity to Spikes is poor, not being immune to Sandstorm makes it worse, and having common weaknesses in Water, Ground, and Rock seals Entei's fate.

[Counters]

Water-types that use their Special Attack such as Milotic, Suicune, Vaporeon, and Starmie are usually the best counters to Entei, but should be wary of the Sunnybeamer. Tentacruel works especially well because it is completely immune to Toxic and shakes off SolarBeam with its part Poison- typing; it also has excellent Special Defense and ties with Entei in Speed. Swampert is a more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp and SolarBeam, but has the luxury of hitting Entei with either Attack stat. It can also use Entei to set up Curse and Rest off the status.

Flygon ties in speed with Entei and can hit it hard with Earthquake. Aerodactyl dislikes Stone Edge, but is much faster than Entei and OHKOes with Choice Banded Stone Edge. Salamence fears burns less, because it has many viable special attacks with which to hit Entei, including Hydro Pump and Draco Meteor. Dragonite is easily the least apt Dragon for countering Entei due to lack of Intimidate and a Rock weakness, but it can survive a Stone Edge and reply with Earthquake. Hariyama has a natural Rock resistance and essentially a Fire resistance thanks to Thick Fat and can Cross Chop or Stone Edge Entei, but like many others, it hates burns. Snorlax also has Thick Fat and often sports Rest to clear itself of status, and can use Curse or just attack Entei. Dugtrio can come in on Stone Edge or always revenge kill Entei, OHKOing with Choice Band Earthquake.

Tyranitar can easily take any offensive attack from Entei barring a burning Lava Plume, and its Sand Stream ability completely incapacitates the Sunny Day set. Additionally, Tyranitar has great Special Defense, which is boosted further by Sandstorm, and consequently can counter the Calm Mind set. Rhyperior dislikes burns and Hidden Powers, but has very high Attack and Defense, so even Iron Head is no obstruction. Ground-types like Donphan and Hippowdon counter the Choice Band set well.

With no way to boost the power of its physical attacks, Blissey can stall out most Entei sets but must be careful of Calm Mind in conjunction with Substitute.

EDIT: Did some extensive Entei testing today. He's not terrible like everyone thinks. Just wanted to get this in before I go to bed, I will edit in the comments later.

So many counters get messed up by it—
This seems somewhat colloquial. I'd change it to something like "several counters are messed up by it:
  • " Or something even more formal.

Sorry for making a comment before the whole edit is up.

I did an EV spread a while back for a Physical annoyer; WoW&Reflect, with Physically Bulky EVs and reference to Heat Wave.; you want me to post that?

Isn't HP Ice worth a mention for it's Dragon killing ability?

Well, Hidden Power Ice is really only there to hit Salamence and Flygon who are both ruined by Will-O-Wisp. However, the #1 pokemon in the game right now loves to switch into 1/2 of this moveset so you have to do something about it!

I do think Lava Plume does deserve a mention somewhere on the primary set; it frees up the Will-o-Wisp slot for something else, either to run both Toxic/Protect to make it more of a Toxic staller, potentially Reflect or even Stone Edge to maybe do some sort of damage to Gyara/Mence.

Could substitute be given a mention in the last spot. It helps with Pressure stalling, just like protect. It eases prediction for incoming threats. i.e. you can choose ehther to HP Ground for Heatran or Will-o-Wisp for other mentioned counters, because a misprediction in that situation could prove very costly.

Mixed Entei has a lot of potential:

move3: Stone Edge
move4: Hidden Power Ground / Hidden Power Ice
item: Expert Belt / Life Orb
nature: Hasty

[SET COMMENTS]

Not forgetting Entei has a huge Attack stat, Entei can cause some great damage on both ends of the spectrum. Stone Edge is Entei's best physical option, since it can do huge damage to the likes of Zapdos, 2HKOing with this spread and Life Orb without Stealth Rock assistance. Calm Mind pushes Entei's SpA even higher to deal great damage with Flamethrower, Fire Blast or Hidden Power. Speaking of Hidden Power, Ground is probably your best choice, +1 Hidden Power Ground can OHKO Heatran with Stealth Rock support, and other grounded Fire or Steel types dont like it much either. Hidden Power Ice can deal with those pesky dragons, although its a coin toss flip against both Flygon and Salamence because of speed ties. Bronzong, Scizor, Lucario, Forretress and Skarmory all fear his Fire attacks. Blissey will be a problem, since Stone Edge is a 3HKO at best.

If you fear Water types, Hidden Power Grass is an option since it deals great damage, especially on Swampert. Bite deals more to Psychic types than Stone Edge, and is more reliable, although you will have to catch the faster ones on the switch. Return is also viable, but it is best paired with Hidden Power Grass for best results, or Hidden Power Ground if you fear Empoleon. Entei does not have a huge amount of options available to him, but this set utilises his most offensive ones.

Blissey can happily come in safely on Entei's special attacks, is 3HKOed by Stone Edge or Return, and can just use Thunder Wave to render it useless. Heatran is safe against Entei if it does not have Hidden Power Ground, and Flygon is a good bet against Entei if it does not have Hidden Power Ice. Swampert can come in safely on everything except Hidden Power Grass, although it does fear burn, as does Flygon. Many other water types also have a good time against this Entei, especially the more defensive ones like Vaporeon, Slowbro and Suicune, although Slowbro has to watch out for Bite. Overall though, nothing can come in Entei without taking a significant hit, so dont underestimate its offensive prowess.

Although you are planning an offensive Calm Mind, you should also write up a defensive Calm Mind. This is the set I used to moderate success:

- Reflect
- Calm Mind
- Lava Plume
- Hidden Power Ground

It had rather specialized EVs, but I can't remember what they were (I think I posted them in the Creative Movesets thread).

Great Sage actually had an Entei Peer Edit a while ago, but really I'd use this for a basis if you really want to.

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37224

The only "minor" addition is Eruption in Other Options, and perhaps consideration of how Entei can screen and use Mixed attacks perhaps.

And a few more things. The reason we choose to use the physical moves instead of Special is so simple: prevention of split EVs. And Floatzel isn't horrible physically, so I suggest removing it unless, for some odd reason, you have something against STAB Waterfall and Ice Punch.

A more offensive Calm Mind Set
Don't know if the Sunny Day set should stay, worth a shot though.
Some of those I was a bit unsure of, you might want to see about them.

A possibility is a

>Hidden Power [Ground]

It had worked well for me. Also, Entei is one of a hanful of pokemon that can use both Reflect and Will-o-Wisp, so a defensive set is possible.

Colonel M, I think he just definitively showed that the Split EV problem is completely irrelavent, as even with no EVs Fire Blast is more powerful on a generic Pokémon. The other Special attacks he would use (HP Ground) don't have a physical equivalent because Entei has a dog-shit movepool.

Understandable. Personally, I don't like Lava Plume because it is weak and 30% still isn't reliable enough to consider a main option IMO. I will definately mention it in the set comments though, since slashing it would require me to slash the other 2 slots as well...

@ Goldfan,

Substitute is a poor option on Entei in most cases because he doesn't have any recovery to make use of it. He's already taking 25% from Stealth Rock and unless you are Sub Calm Minding its not worth it really.

@ Toothache,

Tested Mixed Entei today and its probably his best bet offensively. It was highly effective. I added that to the analysis and switched the nature to Naive, simply because his physical defense is OK and he can take Bullet Punches and Ice Shards. I guess Hasty makes sense for Calm Mind though I kind of just forgot about that... any opinions?

@ Epidemic, added the changes.

Don't like this so much. Lava Plume is kind of a shit option on a Calm Minding set because its base power is just too low. I will slash Reflect with Substitute when I do the Substitute + Calm Mind set.

I took a look at Sage's edits. Will incorporate them shortly. And as I showed in the damage calculations, an Adamant natured, 0 special attack Fire Blast outdamages an Adamant Max Attack Fire Fang making that a moot point. Base power is all important. Floatzel isn't mentioned on the analysis, I am just using that for comparison. Floatzel is in the same boat. His physical movepool is very good, however as I mentioned in the Floatzel edit for Mixed Floatzel, a Surf from his maximum Special Attack stat will outdamage a Waterfall from his maximum Physical Attack, and the same goes for Ice Beam and Ice Punch. Again, base power makes all the difference.

Going to look like the other sets. Calm Mind + Will-O-Wisp... meh. I don't think Entei will have the time to do both.

Due to its typical use as a support Pokemon, many opponents will not expect to be hit hard by Entei. This makes a Choice item a very good choice if you have enough support already.

Entei has two very powerful fire moves: Overheat and Eruption. The common presence of Stealth Rock makes using Eruption fairly difficult, especially seeing as Entei isn't remarkably fast. For this reason, it is usually best used with a Choice Scarf. Similarly, a Choice Specs Overheat packs incredible power against anything which doesn't resist it; and is a perfect option due to the hit-and-run nature of choice sets. It is still a useful option of the Scarf set however.

Hidden Power Ground provides coverage, and hits pesky Heatrans hard. Entei's huge Attack stat shouldn't be forgotten, as Stone Ege is a fearsome weapon for taking out Zapdos, and is Entei's best chance at taking out Starmie.

The final slot is for late-game sweeping. If the drops in power from Overheat will cause problems, or if Entei is too weak for Eruption, Fire Blast and Flamethrower offer a second STAB move. Which is chosen is down to Power vs Accuracy.

The Speed EVs allow Entei to outspeed most Salamences, as well as Scarf Heracross (providing you use Choice Scarf).

I hope I'm not being rude or anything, but I've attempted to write some comments for the Scarf/Specs set. I've used this set quite a few times and I love it ^^.

I couldn't think how to compare this to Typhlosion without saying it's a direct inferior due to lack of Focus Punch.

And if it helps: EVs make 292 Atk, 305 SpA and 274 Speed (when factoring in IVs from HP Ground).

Iron Tail shouldn't even be mentioned, as I'm sure it won't be turning 2HKOs into OHKOs (etc.) too significantly(plus, Iron Head has a nice flinch chance). I'd say Other Options worthy.

Not forgetting Entei has a huge Attack stat, Entei can cause some great damage on both ends of the spectrum. Hidden Power Ground is probably your best choice for the last slot, as a +1 Hidden Power Ground can OHKO Heatran with Stealth Rock support, and other grounded Fire-types dont like it much either. Hidden Power Ice can also be used deal with those pesky dragons, although Salamence and Dragonite will take a lot from Stone Edge. Blissey will also be a problem, since Stone Edge is a 3HKO at best.

If you fear Water-types, Hidden Power Grass is an option since it deals great damage, especially on Swampert. Bite deals more to Psychic-types than Stone Edge, and is more reliable, although you will have to catch the faster ones on the switch. Return is also viable, but it is best paired with Hidden Power Grass for best results, or Hidden Power Ground if you fear Empoleon. Entei does not have a huge amount of options available to him, but this set utilises his most offensive ones.

This is a place where the "completely outclassed" debate is going to come in, as Specs Eruption / anything is literally completely doe better by Typhlosion. Entei has nothing to distinguish himself from Typhlosion on the set. It "works" technically but as long as they share the same tiering I don't think the set should be listed, as you should be using Typhlosion if you want Specs Eruption.

Iron Tail OHKOs Tyranitar after Stealth Rock with Choice Band.

And how much does Iron Head do? Assuming a 2HKO, you're still faster and will have time to hit it again unless you switch into it (bad move either way). If this is the only benefit of Iron Tail, you should definitely list this as the reason you'll use it over Iron Head.

Edited in the comments for all sets. I tweaked Sage's comments from his peer edit because most of them were pretty good. Filled in the Special Choice and the Calm SunnyBeamer as well.

A +6 CM Entei with less than max Special Attack will not always 2HKO Calm Blissey with Flamethrower. Then agan, Fire Blast can just be miss/PP stalled so I guess it's the best option, but it's kind of fucked in the same way Suicune is.

I can't see a Rest Talk set working, as he is a Fire type. Still, Rest / Sleep Talk / Lava Plume / HP Ground might be worth a look.

Entei is good defensively physically, and really isn't terrible specially either since his base HP is so high. But he IS a fire type, and that grants him a nice Stealth Rock weakness! The only reason pokemon like Gyarados and Salamence can use defensive sets so well is Intimidate and nice resistances. Entei really only has one notable resistance in Steel for Scizor. Bug is hardly used, and Fire types like Heatran and Infernape will usually beat it 1 v. 1 anyway.

Standard: I still believe Stone Edge could find a place on the set for Gyara / Salamence (despite the fact you'll just burn them, there is always Aromatherapy / Heal Bell). Just mention it in the Set Comments.

Mixed: Is there anything specific that Flamethrower doesn't OHKO that Fire Blast will after a CM? Accuracy is of huge importance with something like Entei. If I were going to run this on a serious team, I'd personally use a type-resist berry. Maybe Ground (Shuca). I'd mention that in Set Comments or Other Options since I think it's viable on this particular set.

Special Choice: Outclassed by Typhlosion, but I guess Stone Edge differentiates it enough to warrant its use. Your set comments really need to address how Stone Edge gives it an advantage over Typhlosion (or at least differentiates it) so the first response isn't "that's a shitty Typhlosion".

Stone Ege is a fearsome weapon for taking out Zapdos, Gyarados, and Salamence, 2HKOing all three with Stealth Rock Support.
Er, not exactly. You aren't technically wrong but you have to account for Leftovers, especially when thinking of things like Zapdos which will usually carry it. Also, you need to clarify you are talking about offensive Gyarados & Salamence. You have to factor in Intimidate on bulky Gyara and Salamencee since I doubt you are switching into Gyara or Mence.

286 Atk Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 220 Def Zapdos: 37% - 44% (only a 50% shot to 2HKO with Leftovers). Granted it 2HKOs without Leftovers but when 67% are running Leftovers last month you mine as well assume Zapdos is holding Leftovers. Thus, theoretically, Zapdos can Roost stall out your Stone Edge.

286 Atk Stone Edge , -1 (Intimidate) vs. 370 HP / 219 Def Gyarados: 33% - 40% (never a 2HKO with Leftovers). Considering that 31% still run Taunt, 23% "high" HP EVs, and 27% run > 100 Defense EVS. That makes it clear to me a substantial number of people are still running a bulkier Gyarados spread. So you need to be clear you were referring to offensive Gyara being 2HKO'd by Stone Edge.

BulkyMence isn't nearly as popular anymore, but also be clear that you are speaking about Offensive Salamence since you'll never 2HKO Bulky Salamence.

Basically clarify that you are referring to Offensive Gyara / Salamence and correct the Zapdos thing.

move4: Hidden Power Ground / Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Grass

Mention Roar I guess. I guess you can Roar out Nasty Plot Infernape, Ninjask, CM Celebi (Grass Knot versions), SubSeed Sceptile / Shaymin-S. It has some isolated uses, it's not exactly like OO is crowded as is.

Counters: No mention of Suicune? Set-up fodder for most sets bar Solarbeam. Rest-Curse Swampert can use almost any set as set-up fodder taking all but Solarbeam with ease. Dugtrio revenge kills it and can come in on a Stone Edge if predicted.
