  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

w4 highlights

SM DOU: Idyll vs SMB

Idyll has swapped to SM this week which is probably for the better, the droughts are in a must-win situation for the remaining four weeks of this tour if they want to make playoffs. It's been a while since he's had a high level SM game since the past 1.5 DPLs have been spent on XY&BW. Excited to see if he'll be capitalizing on current meta trends and pull up with heat. SMB's on the board after pulling up with broken rain last week. I think of the active players his SM builder/capability to build new teams is probably the scariest, so this is a great matchup for sure.

BW DOU: Checkmater vs Actuarily

Check took down wob last week which would make you think he could be bolded against anybody going into this week, but act is the only undefeated player remaining which is definitely worth something. These guys play a lot from my understanding so they probably have a good read on each other's team preferences which makes me wonder if we'll see some unusual picks here.

SM DOU: Croven vs Yoda2798

Croven is particularly motivated to get another big SM win after narrowly losing last week to umbry, and my Internal Sources have given me the insight to know that he's really invested in the tier right now which is pretty scary. Yoda's bounced back from a week 1 loss to take wins against umbry and gma, so they've got a lot of momentum currently. Admittedly I think Yoda's picks have been more on the basic side but their piloting has been strong. Should be a good match.

XY DOU: laptops vs SingleThunder

Two folks that have been really grinding XY recently and I think have drastically improved as of late. laptops deviated from the ltv deo structures that have been plaguing the tournament pretty hard last week by loading up rain while ST has had some pretty interesting picks as well in the mega department loading Scizor and Salamence so far this tour. Feel like they're both pretty even in skill so this one might come down to the builder... or some yellow magic.

SV DOU: Paraplegic vs Zeal

None of the SV games from the other two series particularly excite me but this one is pretty hype - Zeal's quietly worked his way up to a 3-0 and off the top of my head I feel like his games have been pretty impressive. Para's teams honestly haven't been too bad imo but the games just haven't quite been able to stack up for him, so maybe this is the week he cooks and starts to get his momentum back, but it won't come easy.

SM DOU: zoe vs umbry

Yeah I'm highlighting the SM game from every series, are you a cop? umbry took down Croven in a bangaranger last week and zoe's coming off a pretty convincing win against Tman. These two are friends but I'm not sure how much they've played the tier together as of late, so I'm not particularly aware of if we're gonna get some teambuilder mindgame shenanigans or not, I'm just expecting a high level game between two of the pool's FIVE(!!!) 2-1s. I'm gonna be really upset if we get something like a mega venusaur mirror though, I'm trying to see some clicker squads boost my dopamine levels!!!
