Darumakka is cute little guy with a great movepool and decent stats to boot. It's best one is it's 90 base attack, which is very high by little cup standards. Darumakka's 70/45/45 defenses aren't going to be walling pokes anytime soon, but they're not horrible either (just a bit lower than Chinchou, albeit with worse typing), so he can take a weak neutral hit if he needs to. Although his base 50 speed is average at best, it can be fixed with choice scarf and STAB nitro charge. All in all, Darumakka is gonna be a threat in the LC metagame one way or another and is worth considering a spot for on your team.

Scarfer
Hustle/Inner Focus
Choice Scarf
196 Atk/196 Spe/116 HP
Jolly
-Fire Punch
-Brick Break
-Rock Slide
-U-Turn

A neat little scarf set that Darumakka can make good use of. At first it may seem outclassed by Cranidos as a revenge killer, but this plays more like a scout/sweeper than a pure revenge killer, although it can fulfill the role of revenge killer if you want. Fire punch is your main STAB move, rock slide and brick break are there for coverage, and u-turn is a great scouting move and just plain useful on any choiced set. Either ability works fine, and although hustle is preferred for the pure power, inner focus can be used if you don't like the accuracy drop.

Life Orb (Thanks to Calm Pokemaster)
Hustle/Inner Focus
Life Orb
196 Atk/196 Spe/116 HP
Jolly
-Nitro Charge
-Brick Break
-Rock Slide
-Fire Punch

A cool set that abuses STAB nitro charge and Darumakka's high attack. Nitro Charge is there for the speed boost as well a STAB attack, fire punch is a more powerful STAB attack, and brick break and rock slide are there for coverage. U-turn can also be used, but it's not recommended as you'll be racking up a lot of damage from life orb and entry hazards like stealth rock, as well as losing a coverage move/STAB attack. Once again, Hustle is preferred for the power boost, but inner focus can be used if you don't want to take risks with the accuracy drops from hustle.

Any feedback, set suggestions, or comments are appreciated.

On the Choice Scarf set, drop Rock Slide completely. The only thing worthwhile that it hits is Mantyke, who you should be eliminating before bringing our Darumakka. Instead, put Fire Punch in that slot. It allows Darumakka to actually SWEEP with Hustle.

Also, drop Superpower, and put Brick Break there. You break Screens, and you manage to beat up Munchlax anyway.

The best evs for both sets look to be 196 attack and speed, and 116 hp, as it can't do much better.

Notes on the belly drum set: Sub salac is not good in little cup. The fact that every good team has multiple priority users means it has very limited potential. Additionally, you'll never get 3 turns to set up a sub, belly drum, and then a nitro charge. The set really isn't viable.

The scarfer set looks good, hustle gives it a lot of power.

To correct something, his defenses are pretty good for a lc sweeper. Chinchou is one of the bulkier pokemon in lc, and it has only 1 more hp and sp def point. It has admittedly better typing, but its defenses aren't that bad.

Btw, you're supposed to include its full movepool, not just its good movepool (all learnable moves/egg moves/tms).

In general, it looks good, thanks.

I agree, I murdered Gym 4 with my Lvl26 Hihidaruma

A LO set is also viable in LC for this thing. Nitro Charge/Rock Slide/Brick Break/Fire Punch(for more power) gets great coverage.

Belly Drum set will not work, with Darukamakka's low speed. You'll never get a chance to use it either, as that Water/Ghost thing will probably be fairly common, can can come in with ease. Also, both sets are just mauled by Diglett.

It would be funny if this guy got daruma mode as well. It functions pretty much like its evo except even slower for its tier

Ugh, it's so unfortunate that such a potentially cool Pokemon got saddled with a crappy ability like Hustle! Yeah, the 1.5x attack is great...if you hit! People complain about Stone Edge's accuracy a lot, and with Hustle every one of your moves has SE accuracy at best. Stuff like Rock Slide are even worse off. Of course, if/when his Dream World counterpart is released, he'll be golden s a Scarfer and Speed-booster. Nitro Charge is such a cool way to boost speed, and I really think that it'll bring Darumakka to the forefront of the game. As a Scarfer, he loves U-Turn, but he really hates being SR-weak. If you pack a reliable spinner like Squirtle or something, he could really turn out to be a threat.

I'd like to note that you can get a Dream World Hihidaruma in-game, which should be able to pass Inner Focus off to him right off the bat.

I can imagine a set with Nitro Charge, Flare Blitz, Superpower and something like Hammer Arm. Pretty good coverage, and all very strong moves. First try to get in one or two Charges, then pound away with Flare Blitz, Hammer Arm and Superpower. Darumakka can take some recoil with its pretty 70 Base HP, which is definitely not bad. I can see it being a pretty often used LC Poké.
