Cobalion serves as a Stealth Rock setter on offensive teams while also checking common anti-offense threats Choice Scarf Roaring Moon and Choice Band Chien-Pao. Its high-Base Power mixed STAB moves make it deceptively hard to switch into, as it can 2HKO both common specially defensive walls such as RegenVest Manaphy and Swampert and physical walls like Mandibuzz and Great Tusk. Against foes it cannot reliably damage, such as Iron Hands and Gholdengo, it is still able to outspeed them and pivot on them with Volt Switch. None of the common entry hazard removers want to switch into Cobalion, as Mandibuzz, Iron Treads, and Great Tusk are all 2HKOed by it, while Corviknight takes too much from Volt Switch to comfortably Defog. Cobalion's EVs are very customizable, and the given spread lets it outspeed Great Tusk, which it easily 2HKOes on the switch, and 2HKO Manaphy after Stealth Rock. Cobalion serves best on offensive teams that can take advantage of its combination of hazard setting, wallbreaking, pivoting, and temporary checking of Roaring Moon and Chien-Pao; as a result, powerful wallbreakers such as Latios, Walking Wake, and Ceruledge make excellent teammates, especially as they are reliably revenge killed by the aforementioned Dark-types. Cobalion cannot meaningfully threaten common bulky offense staples like Iron Hands and Gholdengo, so it appreciates reliable switch-ins to them such as Great Tusk and Swampert. Cobalion also appreciates slow pivots that get it on the field safely like Corviknight and RegenVest Manaphy, as preserving its HP is crucial to stopping Roaring Moon from cleaning late-game.

Cobalion serves as an aggressive Stealth Rock setter on offensive teams while also checking common offense-killers maybe anti-offense threats is better here? Dragonite, Choice Scarf Roaring Moon and Choice Band Chien-Pao. Its high Base Power mixed STAB moves make it deceptively hard to switch into, as it can 2HKO both common specially defensive walls such as RegenVest Manaphy and Swampert and physical walls like Mandibuzz and Great Tusk. Cobalion serves best on offensive teams that can take advantage of its combination of hazard setting, wallbreaking, pivoting, and temporarily checking Roaring Moon and Chien-Pao; as such, powerful wallbreakers such as Latios, Walking Wake, and Ceruledge make excellent teammates, especially as they are reliably revenge killed by the fucking broken :concern: Dark-types. Cobalion cannot meaningfully threaten common bulky offense staples like Iron Hands and Gholdengo, so it appreciates reliable switch-ins to them such as Great Tusk and RegenVest Swampert. Cobalion also appreciates slow pivots to get it on the field safely like RegenVest Manaphy, as preserving its HP is crucial to stopping a late-game Roaring Moon sweep pretty sure the better term here is clean since scarf rmoon doesnt sweep but cleans instead, so something like "... is crucial in preventing scarf moon from cleaning".

blah blah cobalion threatens removers

Cobalion serves as an aggressive Stealth Rock setter "agressive" doesn't feel very descriptive, i'd move the part about how it pressures hazard removers hereon offensive teams while also checking common anti-offense threats Choice Scarf Roaring Moon and Choice Band Chien-Pao. Its high Base Power mixed STAB moves make it deceptively hard to switch into, as it can 2HKO both common specially defensive walls such as RegenVest Manaphy and Swampert and physical walls like Mandibuzz and Great Tusk. None of the common entry hazard removers want to switch into Cobalion, as Mandibuzz, Iron Treads, and Great Tusk are all 2HKOed while Corviknight takes too fucking much from Volt Swirch see above. Cobalion's EVs are very customizable, and the given spread outspeeds Great Tusk, which it easily 2HKOes on the switch, and 2HKOes Manaphy after Stealth Rock. Cobalion serves best on offensive teams that can take advantage of its combination of hazard setting, wallbreaking, pivoting, and temporarily checking Roaring Moon and Chien-Pao; as such, powerful wallbreakers such as Latios, Walking Wake, and Ceruledge make excellent teammates, especially as they are reliably revenge killed by the aforementioned more clear you're talking about moon/pao Dark-types. Cobalion cannot meaningfully threaten common bulky offense staples like Iron Hands and Gholdengo, so it appreciates reliable switch-ins to them such as Great Tusk and Swampert. Cobalion also appreciates slow pivots to get it on the field safely like RegenVest Manaphy another example could be nice, as preserving its HP is crucial to stopping Roaring Moon from cleaning late-game.
