Cinderace utilizes its solid coverage alongside Libero and its high Attack and Speed to serve as a strong offensive pivot. High Jump Kick OHKOes foes such as Mega Tyranitar and Heatran while hitting others like Garganacl and Ting-Lu, though Cinderace must be mindful of Protect from the former and Tera Ghost from the latter causing it to take heavy recoil. U-turn lets Cinderace generate momentum, pivoting on switch-ins such as Toxapex and Slowbro to bring in teammates like Tapu Koko and Gholdengo that can handle them. Sucker Punch lets Cinderace threaten Dragapult, which would otherwise revenge kill it. Tera Fire boosts Pyro Ball's power, allowing Cinderace to 2HKO foes such as Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Tera Fairy Garganacl after Stealth Rock. Cinderace must careful when using Tera, however, as Libero will no longer activate, leaving it more vulnerable to foes such as Rotom-W. Cinderace fits best on offensive teams that appreciate its pivoting ability. Tapu Koko forms a potent pivoting core with Cinderace, taking advantage of foes such as Toxapex and Rotom-W while granting Cinderace free entry against foes such as Ferrothorn and Tangrowth. They also overwhelm foes such as Ladorus-T, Gastrodon, and Great Tusk together. Cinderace also appreciates teammates such as Ferrothorn and Gastrodon providing entry hazard support to weaken foes such as Landorus-T and Great Tusk while also checking foes such as Rotom-W and Urshifu-R. Dragapult appreciates Cinderace handling foes such as Mega Tyranitar and Kingambit; in return, it threatens foes such as Skeledirge, which Cinderace struggles against. Future Sight support from teammates such as Slowbro and Tapu Lele helps pressure foes such as Toxapex for Cinderace; in return, Cinderace handles foes that threaten them such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.
