Not A Bug Choice Specs not boosting Future Sight

What is the bug?
If you use Future Sight on a Pokémon with Choice Specs and switch it our afterwards (which, of course you do, you don't want to be locked in a useless move) then the damage will be calculated without taking Choice Specs into cosideration.

Of course the first question here is, is it a bug or a feature? I haven't tried it on the Switch yet (I usually don't do CP on it) so I don't know if this is how it works there too. Which would still make it a bug, imo, but that'd not be your problem.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?

In this staged battle, Reuniclus used Future Sight on Flygon twice, the first time it switched out, the second time it stayed in. The damage is higher if it stays in and corresponds to the calculations:

252+ SpA Reuniclus Future Sight vs. 252 HP / 156 SpD Flygon: 211-249 (57.9 - 68.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Reuniclus Future Sight vs. 252 HP / 156 SpD Flygon: 315-372 (86.5 - 102.1%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

According to Bulbapedia, if the user is not on the field, their ability and item are not taken into account.
I'll let a more knowledgeable person confirm, but doesn't seem to be a bug.

Well, would ou look at that, it says the same in the Smogon Dex:

So that seems to be an intentional mechanic which I failed to look up before I sent this. I still think that's a bug of the cartridge games (it makes no sense), but that doesn't matter here.
