Palafin is one of the most powerful revenge killers and cleaners in Ubers UU, sporting high base Attack stat and a STAB priority move with above-average Base Power. Jet Punch cleanly 2HKOs most 2HKOes most offensive targets that don't resist it, and allows Palafin to revenge kill setup sweepers such as Arceus. Close Combat hits common Water-resistant Pokemon such as Palkia-O and Kyurem-W. Flip Turn allows Palafin it to deal good damage while reacting to an opponent's switches and grabbing for its team. Tera Water powers up Palafin's Water-Type STAB moves, allowing Jet Punch to reach damage thresholds such as OHKOing Mewtwo after Stealth Rock and one layer of Spikes and having a favorable chance to OHKO +1 Defense Sneasler after a layer of Spikes. Palafin works very well on balance and bulky offense teams, as it can easily clean up late-game when the opponent’s Pokemon are all weakened. However, Palafin struggles to break walls such as Giratina and Toxapex, so stallbreakers such as Hatterene, Mewtwo, and Kyurem-W work alongside it very well.

Sporting a 160 base attack stat, and a 60 base power stab priority move, Palafin can easily decimate weakened teams in the endgame of a battle. Jet Punch - the previously mentioned priority move - cleanly 2HKOs most unresisted targets (Examples being? I'd suggest Mewtwo and Zacian) on offensive teams. Wave Crash deals enormous amounts of damage even on resisted hits, being able to decimate defensive pokemon (Such as? i/d suggest Magearna and Skarmory) on a switch in. Close Combat is yet another extremely powerful move that Palafin has access to, used to hit any water resisting switch ins. (Pretty please use some EXAMPLES. Here i'd suggest Ogerpon-Wellspring and Palkia-Origin) Flip Turn is an essential move for Palafin, allowing it to deal good damage while reacting to an opponent’s switches and grab momentum. Tera Water is the preferred tera type, as it powers up Jet Punch allowing Palafin to reach incredibly high KO ranges (Please. Examples. Tera Jet Punsh allows Palafin to 2HKO Arceus and OHKO Great Tusk after slight chip such as 1 layer of spikes). Palafin works very well on balance and semi stall teams (Palafin doesn't fit on semi-stall, as usually they use a strong knock off user. It works well on Bylky Offense and Hyper Offense though.), as Palafin can easily clean up an endgame where the opponent’s pokemon are all weakened. However, Palafin struggles to break walls such as Giratina and Toxapex, and so wall/stallbreaker teammates such as Hatterene, Mewtwo, and Kyurem-White work alongside Palafin very well.
