Drought Wallbreaker (Charizard) @ Charizardite Y

- Solar Beam
- Scorching Sands / Focus Blast
- Roost

[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Charizard Y stands out as a powerful wallbreaker thanks to its high Special Attack and its ability, Drought. Weather Ball is recommended for its high damage, perfect accuracy, and ability to pressure rain teams by doing magnificent damage to Pelipper in rain. Flamethrower is a great alternative, allowing Mega Charizard Y to maintain its STAB move outside of sun, but at the cost of being slightly weaker than Weather Ball. Fire Blast is less reliable due to its accuracy but serves as a powerful nuke, capable of OHKOing Gliscor after Stealth Rock and guaranteeing a 2HKO against Galarian Slowking and Garchomp. Roost lets Mega Charizard Y heal off potential Stealth Rock damage and act as a soft check to Mega Scizor and Rillaboom. Under sun, Solar Beam hits instantly and provides excellent coverage to obliterate bulky Water-types such as Alomomola, Rotom-W, and Slowbro. Scorching Sands 2HKOes Heatran and pressures Toxapex, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt while also having the chance to burn threats that can switch into Mega Charizard Y's moves, like Garchomp and Mega Tyranitar. Focus Blast enables Mega Charizard Y to OHKO Mega Tyranitar while still allowing it to hit Heatran effectively, but its poor accuracy and ineffectiveness against Toxapex make it a less recommended choice. Entry hazard removers like Great Tusk, Kartana, and Landorus-T allow Mega Charizard Y to come in more often, as it is incredibly weak to Stealth Rock; Great Tusk in particular benefits from sun thanks to Protosynthesis boosting its Attack, letting it break past foes like Mega Latias and Dragonite for Mega Charizard Y more easily. Mega Charizard Y’s mediocre Speed and below-average bulk leave it vulnerable to revenge killers like Mega Diancie, Mega Lopunny, and Garchomp. Therefore, defensive switch-ins such as Great Tusk, Alomomola, Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Galarian Slowking create great synergy with Mega Charizard Y. Weavile is a fantastic partner for its ability to beat Dragon-types such as Mega Latias, Garchomp, and Dragonite; it also appreciates Mega Charizard Y forcing foes like Alomomola to Tera Dragon. Raging Bolt also serves as an excellent partner, benefiting from Mega Charizard Y's Drought with Protosynthesis, which boosts its Special Attack, allowing it to break through Pokemon like Garganacl more easily.

Mega Charizard Y stands out as a tremendous it's far from tremendous, certainly ok but still has flaws and hates the rise of mtias/pex atm, would tone this down wallbreaker in National Dex, thanks to its high special attack and its ability Drought. This combination boosts its powerful fire-type STAB moves and also sets itself apart as a sun setter in the metagame, supporting Pokemon with the abilities Protosynthesis and Chlorophyll. this sentence makes it sound like zardy is a standalone sun setter, which is not true. its synergy with proto mons should only be mentioned in the teammates section. not much else is worth mentioning bc chlorophyll users are heavily dependent on sun to exist, while mons like tusk can function without it. Weather ball is recommended for its high damage, perfect accuracy, and ability to pressure rain teams by doing magnificent damage to Pelliper. Flamethrower is a great alternative, allowing Mega Charizard Y to maintain its STAB move outside of sun, but at the cost of being slightly weaker than Weather Ball. Fire Blast serves as a powerful nuke, able to OHKO Zamazenta, Zapdos, and Landorus-Therian, while also 2HKOing Slowking-Galar, Clodsire, and Garchomp. Despite its power, Fire Blast’s poor accuracy should be noted. merge the mention of poor accuracy + important calcs into one sentence, but don't mention mons like zap and lando they're both terrible switch-ins regardless and are nearly ohkoed after minor chip anyways. more important mentions are stuff like glisc and dnite (keep chomp and gking though) Roost lets Mega Charizard Y to potentially heal off Stealth Rock damage while also being able to reliably check Mega Scizor and Rillaboom. just say soft check rilla and msciz, zardy's bulk is only ok and it's not hard to fit actual ways to beat either and not have them be rocks weak either (e.g. pex, torn, etc) Solar Beam hits instantly thanks to Drought, which provides excellent coverage to obliterate through bulky water types such as, Alomomola, Tapu Fini, 2 people are using this mon and it's a pretty mid check regardless Dondozo, and Slowbro. add period thus making defensive answers to Mega Charizard Y more difficult. filler Scorching Sands 2HKOS Heatran and pressures Toxapex, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt, while also having the chance to burn threats that can switch into Mega Charizard Y's moves, like Garchomp and Mega Tyranitar. Focus Blast enables Mega Charizard Y to OHKO Mega Tyranitar while still allowing it to hit Heatran effectively. However, Focus Blast is not a recommended option as it has terrible accuracy and it also renders Mega Charizard Y useless against Toxapex. just reword to list its accuracy and bad mu into pex as a downside; if it was terrible, it wouldn't be slashed Teammates that can offer Future Sight support can be beneficial. you basically repeat yourself anyways Pokemon like Slowking-Galar, Iron Crown, and Tapu Lele fsight lele is a lot more difficult to fit compared to the other two atm can provide Future Sight, enabling Mega Charizard Y to break through Toxapex, Pokemon like Toxapex and Clodsire, clod sucks and is extremely specific anyways rn who may attempt to switch in on its attacks. Setup Sweepers like Raging Bolt, Swords Dance Kartana, Dragonite, and Swords Dance Weavile love Mega Charizard Y’s powerful wall-breaking ability to remove opposing walls and give its teammates an opportunity to sweep in the late game. the only mon worth mentioning as a sweeper that appreciates zardy is definitely bolt here; you should also add weav in a separate sentence for its ability to pursuit trap mtias (not on sd obviously) Entry hazard removers like Great Tusk, Kartana, and Gliscor allow Mega Charizard Y to come in more often, as it is incredibly weak to Stealth Rock; Great Tusk in particular benefits from sun thanks to Protosynthesis, letting it break past foes like Mega Latias and Dragonite for Mega Charizard Y more easily. Hazard removal Pokemon are necessary partners for Mega Charizard Y because Stealth Rocks are a massive weakness, limiting its ability to switch in. This is why Pokemon like Great Tusk, TornadusT, Gliscor, and Synthesis Kartana can make perfect partners with Mega Charizard Y. Specifically, Great Tusk, being a bulky ground type with access to Rapid Spin to remove Stealth Rocks and its ability Protosynthesis to potentially benefit from Mega Charizard Y’s Drought, makes it a fantastic teammate. Mega Charizard Y’s mediocre Speed and below-average bulk leave it vulnerable to revenge killers like [examples]... add partners that cover for mons that rkill zardy base 100 speed and mediocre bulk leaves it vulnerable to be revenge killed very easily. Revenge Killers like Mega Diance, Mega Lopunny, Iron Valiant, and Garchomp pose huge dangers, but they also struggle to switch in on Mega Charizard Y’s attacks. Mega Charizard Y struggles against most dragon-type Pokemon such as, Dragonite, Mega Latias, Mega Latios, and Garchomp, which are all major threats against it. This also includes Terastallization Pokemon like Dondozo, Garganacl, Alomomola, and the notable Tera Grass Heatran, which Mega Charizard Y should watch out for. you need to actually list mons that beat these dragon types instead of listing this as a standalone flaw; also include mentions of mons that appreciate zardy forcing them to tera

Roost lets Mega Charizard Y heal off potential Stealth Rock damage and act as a soft check to Mega Scizor and Rillaboom. Solar Beam hits instantly thanks to Drought, which provides excellent coverage to obliterate bulky water types such as, Alomomola, Dondozo, and Slowbro. Scorching Sands 2HKOs Heatran and pressures Toxapex, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt, while also having the chance to burn threats that can switch into Mega Charizard Y's moves, like Garchomp and Mega Tyranitar. Focus Blast enables Mega Charizard Y to OHKO Mega Tyranitar while still allowing it to hit Heatran effectively, but its poor accuracy and ineffectiveness against Toxapex make it a less recommended choice. Pokemon like Slowking-Galar and Iron Crown can provide Future Sight, enabling Mega Charizard Y to break through Toxapex who may attempt to switch in on its attacks. Entry hazard removers like Great Tusk, Kartana, and Gliscor allow Mega Charizard Y to come in more often, as it is incredibly weak to Stealth Rock; Great Tusk in particular benefits from sun thanks to Protosynthesis, letting it break past foes like Mega Latias and Dragonite for Mega Charizard Y more easily. Therefore, defensive switch-ins such as Great Tusk, Alomomola, Landorus-Therian, Gliscor, and Slowking-Galar create great synergy with Mega Charizard Y. Mega Charizard Y struggles against many dragon-type Pokemon like Dragonite, Mega Latias, Mega Latios, and Garchomp. Mega Charizard Y must also be cautious, as it can force Terastallization on foes like Dondozo, Garganacl, Alomomola, and the notable Tera Grass Heatran. To overcome this, Weavile stands out as a fantastic partner, dealing with these dragon-types and offering Pursuit to trap Mega Latias. Weavile also benefits from Mega Charizard Y’s ability to force these Pokémon to Terastallize, preventing it from being walled by them. you can very easily just condense this and say "Weavile is a fantastic partner for its ability to beat Dragon-types such as Mega Latias, Garchomp, and Dragonite; it also appreciates Mega Charizard Y forcing foes like Alomomola to Terastallize." Raging Bolt also serves as an excellent partner, benefiting from Mega Charizard Y's capability to break through walls, particularly steel-types, and its ability, Protosynthesis, increasing its power. This combo provides Raging Bolt with an opportunity to sweep in the late game. the main synergy zardy provides is sun + weather ball and letting raging bolt break thru stuff like garg more easily. there aren't really many noteworthy steel types that are a problem otherwise.

Roost lets Mega Charizard Y heal off potential Stealth Rock damage and act as a soft check to Mega Scizor and Rillaboom. Solar Beam hits instantly thanks to Drought, which provides excellent coverage to obliterate bulky water types such as, Alomomola, Dondozo Rotom-W, and Slowbro. Weavile is a fantastic partner for its ability to beat Dragon-types such as Mega Latias, Garchomp, and Dragonite; it also appreciates Mega Charizard Y forcing foes like Alomomola to Terastallize specify that it's to dragon, great point here.
