*Charizard finds itself a niche in the tier as an abuser of the move Z-Hold Hands and a passable offensive Fire/Flying typing, immediately turning it into a dangerous setup cleaner.
*Its also aided by its defensive typing granting it the ability to exploit Fairy, Fire, Fighting, and Steel-types such as Whimsicott, Klinklang, scarf Houndoom and choice-locked Passimian, easing its ability to set up Hold Hands.
*It also sits at the base 100 speed benchmark, allowing it to outspeed the entire relevant meta after a boost outside of the increasingly rare Scarf Delphox.
*Charizard is held by back by its crippling weakness to Stealth Rocks, cutting away half of its health each team it pivots in and leaves it in a position where it can't reliably check certain Pokemon it would otherwise beat or set up Hold Hands effectively.
*It also struggles to break through Specially Defensive Pokemon such as AV Slowking and Type : Null after a boost, therefore leaving them a roadblocks for Charizard for Charizard to properly threaten the opposition.
*Finally, Charizard is forced to pick whether its wants to run Roost to keep itself healthy throughout the match and beat Slowbro in the long run or use HP Grass to beat Rhydon, as it will almost always lose something by dropping either.
