Focus Blast --- the face looks too immature for FBlast
Tail Glow --- glowing with ice crystals is just lovely!
Stone Edge --- It has no knowledge of rocks
Rock Slide --- SE and RS are pretty simillar
Swords Dance --- It has sharp edges
Superpower --- too small for this SUPER atk
Brick Break --- It's OK.

I strongly suggest that this vote is ignored. For obvious reasons.

Nerfing the special side, keeping the physical side since Superpower doesn't really work on SD sets in my experience.

I would also strongly suggest that in future, everyone justifies their own choices so we can see if the choices had been made on solid competitive knowledge.

If said user hadn't put this reasons down we wouldn't have a clue if he was talking (non)sense or not.

Eric thought (and I agree) that Fire Fang falls more into a non-competitive category, and thus it will be up for removal later. I mean, you can say it's usable to hit Scizor / Forry, but most Syclant are special, and those two take a pretty heavy beating from Focus Blast anyway. In short, Syclant's other options are much, much better.

Okay. It's just that, for example, when we were making Fidgit's movepool, everyone agreed that Explosion would make it too much like Forry, so Explosion and SelfDestruct didn't even make it onto the debate list, and were simply banned right off. So since noone seems to oppose getting rid of Fire Fang, such an unnecessary move, if it's not competitive anyway, then I was just wondering if it had been removed de facto without a poll.

I'd strongly suggest we throw the whole revision process out for the simple reason that most voters have no clue what a Syclant is, let alone come on the server and have tested it as extensively as I have. But thats just me.

You're probably right tennis, but if you recall when the two of us discussed this long ago, we originally planned to have qualifications. However we threw that out because, as you put it: "most voters have no clue what a Syclant is, let alone come on the server and have tested it as extensively as I have." We were worried about not enough people bothering to qualify, which would ruin (albeit speed up) the whole idea of CAP as a democratic process.

Actually the democratic process is revised by senators/representatives, who are elected but still are a select group. So I think its completely reasonable that anyone can make the Pokemon, but only a select group can revise them/vote on policy changes. Sort of like a CAP Senate (TL Selection panel already does something like this.

The senate idea actually sounds like a really good compromise. Until such a thing is implemented, taking advantage by:

Focus Blast
Tail Glow
Stone Edge
Rock Slide
Swords Dance
Superpower
Brick Break

If Syclant wants that coverage, let it live with divided evs or a lopsided offense. I haven't had too much trouble against Syclant personally, but I admit I haven't spectated often enough to form a full picture of his impact on the game.

This is why I don't vote in these polls, since I don't know which moves should be removed, having never played with a CAP Pokemon in my life.

since votes haven't been counted yet...

Focus Blast
Tail Glow
Stone Edge

Rock Slide
Swords Dance
Superpower
Brick Break

I actually like this idea quite a bit.
It still lets everyone have some say (the people would pick their representatives) but stops votes like the one DN pointed out from being counted in this type of poll.

I'd rather him be more specialized to one side, but still be a decent mixed attacker. Stone edge seems a little to much for him, Rock Slide i was iffy on but still...Just so he can be an option for a mixed sweeper I say get rid of Brick Break, since it doesn't really lower the stats, and can be used to more success in pulling out late game sweeps than Super Power.

Focus Blast I was iffy, but I decided to let it keep it since basically everything has it. ~_~

In my opinion, we have nerfed Syclant significantly just by lowering its speed to 115, so I don't think it needs to lose that many moves. Thus, I felt it was necessary to leave Syclant with at least one fighting-type move. To me, of the three fighting-type moves in consideration, Brick Break seemed like the most reasonable choice to keep. Brick Break is less powerful than Superpower even after one use, and Focus Blast, while its accuracy is not that great, can be boosted by Tail Glow to give the Special Sweeper set ridiculous type coverage.

Also, I agree with SkarmBlissCounter that anyone that votes should at least back it up with some competitive reasoning.
