Strategy

Pokemon allowed to gain a third typing can be incredible for offensive behemoths to have STAB coverage or for defensive stalwarts to cover up weaknesses they may have previously had.

FAQ
Q: How does this metagame work with Libero and Conversion?
A:
Libero and Conversion will override all types after activation, including the Bonus Type

Q:How does it work with Camouflage and Soak?
A:
The Pokémon loses all of its types and becomes Normal or Water respectively.

Q: How does it work with Transform and Imposter?
A:
The bonus type is not copied. Ditto's bonus type is also removed.

Q: How does it work with Reflect Type?
A:
The bonus type is copied.

Q: How do Forest's Curse and Trick Or Treat work?
A:
They replace the Pokémon's third type, or act as the third type if the Pokemon only has 2 types.

Q: How does Tera Blast work?
A:
Since the actual Terastalization mechanic itself is banned, Tera Blast is just an 80 BP Normal move.

Examples
:sv/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Lum Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage

With the ability to not only gain STAB on Liquidation, but also dampen its Ice weakness, Garchomp is a bulky setup sweeper that can power through quite a few walls with ease.
:sv/iron valiant:
Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast / Aura Sphere
- Thunderbolt

Iron Valiant loves to finally gain STAB on its most common coverage move while also gaining a Flying neutrality.
:sv/zapdos:
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hurricane
- Roost
- Discharge

With only 1 weakness in Fire, Zapdos is ready to wall anything that dares to get past it.

dropped TCG just to host another type changing OM

Here are some mons I think could be strong in this OM.

:Ursaluna:
Ursaluna @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat/Drain Punch
- Facade
- Swords Dance
- Headlong Rush
Flying type removes two weaknesses, which is super nice. Just watch out for Ice Beam. May be able to set up more.

:noivern:
Noivern @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog/Hurricane
- Roost
- Boomburst
- Flamethrower
STAB boomburst go brrrr. also hazard control. Flamethrower for dealing with steels.

:gholdengo:
Gholdengo @ Leftovers
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Recover
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
Gholdengo is probably one of the mons that benefits the most from an extra type. Flying removes two weaknesses and adds one. pretty nice trade off. Could use a trick scarf set over this as well.

:Clodsire:
Clodsire @ Black Sludge
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Recover
- Stealth Rock
The water type just gives a couple extra resistances and removes the water and ice weakness (gives a grass weakness tho). Which is pretty solid.

:roaring moon:
]Roaring Moon @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Crunch
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
This is probably gonna be one of my favorite sets (until they ban booster energy). I basically did the same thing in TCG (before Roaring Moon ban) but STAB acro is super nice, combined with high attack stat boosted by booster energy. Be carful using outrage, never know when a random steel type switches in on you.

:cloyster:
Cloyster @ King's Rock
Ability: Skill Link
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Liquidation
Kings rock isn't banned yet so abuse it while you can. this should be fun

This OM looks pretty fun, can't wait to try it out!

I've waited for so long...
:sv/urshifu-rapid-strike:
Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Punching Glove
Ability: Unseen Fist
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Surging Strikes
- Thunder Punch
- Close Combat
This thing seems pretty crazy, Electric gives it STAB on Thunder Punch and neutrality to Electric and Flying in exchange for a weakness to ground, when it already terrifies most ground types. The defensive counterplay is extremely limited, but it's limited by its Fairy weakness and overall special frailty, especially when Valiant and Enamorus seem like top threats.

Speaking of Iron Valiant...
:sv/iron valiant:
Iron Valiant @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Electric / Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball

Iron Valiant @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Electric / Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind
Electric Valiant seems like a very potent offensive pick, with stellar offensive coverage and a great speed tier making it very difficult to check. Ghost Valiant has a few upsides, like hitting Skeledirge and Gholdengo, as well as having synergistic typing with both of Valiant's other STABs

:sv/dragapult:
Dragapult @ Choice Specs / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Fire / Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- U-turn
- Flamethrower / Surf
Oh god Pult has another extremely spammable STAB option now. Fire has a few benefits like hitting steels (read: Kingambit) harder but Water maintains a Water resistance, isn't weak to Rocks or Ground, and hits Ting-Lu harder.

:sv/samurott-hisui:
Samurott-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Razor Shell
- Ceaseless Edge
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance
Oh hey, STAB sharpness boosted sacred sword.

:sv/walking wake:
Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Pulse
Oh hey, STAB flamethrower.

Whew, this brings back memories from a time long ago...gen6, a time where Hidden Type existed. Time to relive those memories, lol.

Just a bunch of ideas with varying viability:

:sv/hydreigon:
Hydreigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Nasty Plot
Trades the x4 Fairy weakness for a x4 Fighting one, but ends up with Fairy and Fighting as its only weaknesses. Also gets STAB Flash Cannon, for what it's worth.

:sv/enamorus:
Enamorus @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Superpower
- Iron Head
- Play Rough
- Earth Power
Fairy/Flying/Steel is a really solid combination. As tempting as STAB Superpower might be here, going for a Fighting type would give this a total of 7 weaknesses. Not exactly ideal...

:sv/rotom-wash:
Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick
1 weakness, 10 resistances, 2 immunities (thanks, Levitate).

:sv/zoroark-hisui:
Zoroark-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Steel / Dark / Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball / Dark Pulse
- Hyper Voice
- Flamethrower / Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
Surely there is a way to abuse this. That being said, I wonder if it will actually show the bonus type of the mon it's disguised as (instead of its own type).

:sv/primeape:
Primeape @ Eviolite
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Rage Fist
- Bulk Up
- Taunt
Annihilape may be banned, but we have this at least, lol.

Gonna add a little more by sharing some cool teams that I cooked up after a lot of discussion with kenn
:gholdengo: :dragapult: :samurott-hisui: :slowking-galar: :rotom-wash: :landorus-therian:
cool hazard stack. I like Fairy Rotom-W for its Dark and Fighting resistances, allowing it to check Urshifu and Kingambit.

:thundurus-therian: :ting-lu: :samurott-hisui: :corviknight: :gyarados: :iron valiant:
Triple fighting, double electric, double water. DD Gyara is a major threat once opposing Corv/Washtom/Grasses are removed. Booster Valiant is good speed control and a potent threat on its own. Specs Thundy just straight up kills everything.

:urshifu-rapid-strike: :zamazenta: :zapdos: :rotom-wash: :enamorus: :ting-lu:
Incredibly basic team. Reversal on band zama since it doesn't really care about the last move slot and it sounded funny.

Hopefully these help people to come up with new ideas, I'm really excited to see where this metagame goes from here.

Edit: MORE TEAMS

:kingambit: :gholdengo: :iron valiant: :volcarona: :roaring moon: :heatran:
Ghost Heatran and Volcarona are able to keep Iron Valiant in check pretty reliably, other sets are pretty standard, Maybe drop Psychic on Volcarona for Bug Buzz (change to swarm if you do).

:corviknight: :blissey: :alomomola: :dondozo: :amoonguss: :ting-lu:
Pretty self explanatory team. Amoonguss is here to keep Urshifu and Grasses in check, making a nice regen core with Mola, which can absorb Knock Off due to not being affected by spikes. Dondozo is a pretty consistent answer to Heatran. If you see Flying Heatran just forfeit.

This meta looks so god damn fun I cannot wait to see what other people come up with.

Hello to all of the Bonus typers, I am here to make a set dump post because I just now learned that it got reapproved :tyke:

Emo Emu (Espathra) @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Dazzling Gleam
- Roost / Protect
First of all why is this allowed? Like I know psychic/fairy isn't the best defensive typing over just straight fairy type but its basically the same thing. Ig the argument that can be used against this is that steel type will be rly common but this thing has been shown to OHKO pretty tanky resists

:)) (Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry / Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Belly Drum / Liquidation
- Ice Spinner / Superpower
Azumarill is an awesome choice band wall breaker and belly drum sweeper especially with steel typing letting it switch in more often and setup easily with so many extra resists, and with superpower it can beat up most of the steal types tho it is less useful than spinner/STABs more often than not

I ♥ Stall (Chansey) @ Eviolite
Ability: Serene Grace
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Shadow Ball / Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
I have nothing to say honestly. Chansey and Blissey are better than ever cause they can use the ghost typing to still only have one weakness and a few more resists.

Imagine Trying (Sneasler) @ White Herb
Ability: Unburden
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Dire Claw
SNEASELER IS A FUCKING BIRD NOW. Sneaseler can now fly gracefully above everyone else being able to end games in two turns with sd into cc. The only things stopping it naturally is gholdengo, skele, and donbozo but even then dire claw just has an extra skrew you factor against non steel Dozo and skele. Plus it can run dark type with night slash anyway lmao

The Biggest Bird (Corviknight) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Dragon / Water / Fighting / Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Roost
- U-turn / Iron Defense / Bulk Up
- Defog / Body Press
- Brave Bird
The bird of all time is here and has a lot of options unsurprisingly. Dragon gives it a single ice weakness and makes it an obviously really good bulky pivot, water makes it not weak to fire but an 4x electric weakness which can hurt sometimes I think, Fighting is useful simply because IronPress/Bulk Up is good actually good on corv and the pivot set can use it effectively as well, and ground is more niche but is useful for giving up the electric at the cost of an water weaknesses. Dark type for Power Trip isn't real, so don't ask about it

Funny lil guy (Orthworm) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Earth Eater
Tera Type: Fighting / Posion
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Coil
- Body Press
- Iron Tail
- Rest
A meme set! Orthworm is cool because earth eater is cool, with fighting it can have dual stab on tail and bpress for a simalr build to corvs bulk up build or it can use posion for cooler resists and a single fire weakness.

Gimmicky

You give me chills, I've had it with the drills

Congrats on LCOTM! :psysly:

:sv/hippowdon:
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Slack Off
- Whirlwind
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press / Earthquake
Maybe the best Water/Ground we have since, unlike Dondozo, it has reliable recovery. Whirlwind + Stealth Rock is a great combination, letting you force chip damage quite easily. A specially defensive set could be good for better dealing with Electric Iron Moth and the plethora of Ground- and/or Fighting-type weak special attackers in the tier. Whirlwind could be replaced with Curse to make Hippowdon into both a sturdy wall and a potential win condition.

:sv/goodra-hisui:
Goodra-Hisui @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 196 HP / 252 SpA / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Fire Blast / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Earthquake / Body Press
By donning the Flying typing, Hisuian-Goodra loses it's vulnerability to the common Ground- and Fighting- types, in exchange for an Electric- and Rock-type neutrality and a lone Ice weakness. This amplifies the effectiveness of an Assault Vest set, able to come in on the many Earthquakes roaming the tier and force out your opponent with a strong Draco Meteor, Flash Cannon, or assorted coverage move. 60 Speed EVs guarantee you outspeed even the fastest Garganacl and Toxapex sets, though you could easily reinvest these points into HP or special defense. Pair this with a Wish user for maximum annoyance.

:sv/weavile:
Weavile @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Icicle Crash
- Low Kick / Brick Break
- Ice Shard
Flying, Ground and Steel are all very common Bonus types, in this preliminary stage of the meta. This provides a unique opportunity for Weavile, with it's Ice/Fighting coverage, to be a great revenge killer and cleaner. Losing Knock Off sucks a lot less when you're spamming powerful Fighting type moves instead, and Icicle Crash is a perfectly usable STAB move. Ice Shard provides great STAB Priority, useful for picking off faster targets on low HP like Dragapult or boosted Roaring Moon.

Just played a few match and I'm somehow top 2, lol. Anyway, I'm gonna share my thought about this meta:

I think the easiest way to build in this meta is look for good typings and combine those to create a broken one. Here are some set:
:sv/Corviknight:
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
Steel/Flying is great and Steel/Fairy is broken, combine that and we have an untouchable mon. Dragon is a trap, don't use it (I haven't tested it that much so I might be wrong about this). This thing will sit on every rockers and takes every pp from them. I don't know what is the best attacking move for this set but Body Press is not that good. That being said don't actually use this mon right now because there is a really broken mon that turn this thing into a sitting duck. I will address it right below.

:sv/Gholdengo:
Gholdengo @ Leftovers
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Grass/Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 72 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Recover
- Nasty Plot
I believe that this is the most broken mon rn. It has an insane typing, combine that with either Steel/Grass or Steel/Flying and you have create a monster. I use the Steel/Ghost/Grass set since I want a good check for Rotom and Urshifu. Urshifu is not that common nor good but everyone and their moms are spamming Rotom rn so this set is kind of good. The main reason why I think this mon is broken is because of hazard stack. With Grass or Flying type, it can wall the common spinners like Great Tusk or Iron Tread and Corv. I don't think any hazard remover can consistently beat it and because of that I think this need to go. Letting this mon set up is also a headache as the revenge killing options are extremely limited. The typing and the bulk makes OHKO Gholdengo almost impossible. Your best bet is probably to sac one mon and keep this thing low. Kingambit is probably the best check into it but it is not that good rn because of:

:sv/Rotom-Wash:
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect
Probably one of the most common mon rn because it is really good. Rotom already has a good typing and then you give it Tapu Fini's typing too? Steel is not that good because a lot of the resistances it gives are redundant (Why do you need 8 time resistance to steel). I feel like it can switch in and wall most of the physical attacker rn because I haven't seen a good set that can even hit it for neutral. It can consistently make progress as it can freely burn a lot of mons (Fire types are not that good rn due to the abundance of water types). Protect and Leftovers is surprisingly enough recovery since it is not taking that much damage most of the time. It is the main reason why I think Kingambit hasn't gone crazy and is also one of the main reason why Ghold is so good. These two make for a insane pair that can take on most of the meta rn.

:sv/Dondozo:
Dondozo @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Wave Crash
- Body Press
- Curse
- Rest
New meta just dropped so everyone is going to try cheesy set up sweeper and this is the answer to all of it. I don't know how good this mon will be later on in the meta but rn it kind of wall every physical attacker. Not going to write much because its role is every easy to understand: Wall set up sweepers.

The team I used: https://pokepast.es/8d6bb6e0705e1eb6

Some more thought about this meta: It is more similar to OU than I thought as in good Tera type like Fairy and Water are also really good here. It feels like Tera but without the offensive part. This makes me feel like this meta is more bulky since everything has a billion resist. Fat and balance seems like the premier team styles and this also explain why hazard stack is so good. Other than ghold this meta feel surprisingly balance even though this is just day one. I've really enjoyed it so far since I don't like brainless offense.

:regieleki: :kingambit: :espathra: :roaring moon: :iron valiant: :volcarona:
Basic as hell team. Screens Eleki is cool and STAB Explosion hits very hard. Espathra and Roaring Moon are probably gonna get banned so abuse it while you can. Flamethrower > Fire Blast on Volcarona is something to consider.
thank you to kenn for bullying people to get these replays

A lot of mons are adding ground, water, or flying as a secondary type, which is great defensively. However, a lot of common pairings are unintentionally weak to freeze dry. There aren't any great users, but I've had some success with articuno.

Okay guys, we have been playable as an OM for about 2 days and some Pokemon have already proven to be too much for the OM so your council was swift with a vote and here are the results:
kennTaxFraudHightideResults
EspathraBanBanBan3-0-0 BAN
Roaring MoonBanBan Abstain2-0-1 BAN
Tera Preview ClauseImplementImplementImplement 3-0-0
IMPLEMENT
:sv/espathra: :sv/roaring moon:
Espathra and Roaring Moon are BANNED! Tera Preview Clause will be IMPLEMENTED!

:espathra:
We thought that starting with this unbanned would be okay and boy were we wrong. This thing does what it normally does but better. Giving it a secondary Fairy typing allowed it to have STAB Dazzling Gleam to nail Dark-types that would be able to stomach Stored Power and then those that even resisted Stored Power would go down after a few boosts and with that it was determined Espathra was too much and got the unanimous ban vote.
:Roaring moon:
This was something we had on our initial watchlist and it proved itself almost immediately just how overbearing it was. Roaring Moon with a Flying typeadded allowed it to run Booster Energy sets with ease while having a fantastic 110 BP STAB Acrobatics to work alongside STAB Crunch and Earthquake. While it did keep its 4x Fairy weakness most of the time, that didn'tmatter when it outsped everything at +1 and had an Attack Protosynthesis boost to boot. Therefore, it was deemed too much for Bonus Type and went out with a 2-0-1 vote.
Tera Preview Clause
The reason we decided to vote on having this be implemented was to allow visibility and ease potential counterplay for things that have multiple useable secondary/tertiary types such as Gholdengo or Iron Valiant. It also helps one prep to take on a Fairy Gholdengo vs. losing to a Fighting not knowing what it may be beforehand. Furthermore, we wanted the Bonus Type to be visible and as transparent as possible and this helps achieve that.
Tagging Kris to implement! <3

I've been having a blast laddering these past few days. I'm gonna share a cool team that I made and has performed pretty well on ladder and in roomtours.

:arcanine-hisui: :great tusk: :volcanion: :rotom-wash: :slowking-galar: :samurott-hisui:

Arcanine is an incredibly powerful threat; very few things enjoy switching in to it, and an extremely powerful espeed makes it a potent revenge killer. Double-Edge is something I haven't seen anyone else using, but I find it invaluable for its consistency and being able to hit mons like Water Great Tusk or Ground Dondozo. Great Tusk is a phenomenal presence because of its ability to reliably remove hazards and check a multitude of threats, including opposing Hisuian Arcanine. The speed investment outruns non-booster Iron Valiant after a boost from Rapid Spin. I prefer Bulk Up for additional pressure, but Stealth Rock is also good. Volcanion is next, and it's by far one of the best wallbreakers in the metagame. A plethora of great resistances and two immunities provides plenty of entry points. Taunt allows Volcanion to shut down would-be checks such as Toxapex or Blissey. 148 Speed outruns uninvested Great Tusk, with some speed creep as usual; 24 HP guarantees that you survive Jolly Great Tusk's Earthquake, and the rest is put into SpDef, allowing you to live attacks like unboosted Grass Volcarona's Giga Drain. Rotom-Wash is the best pivot in the meta because of its incredible resistances, allowing you to check all of Hisuian Samurott, Garchomp, Great Tusk, Baxcalibur, Kingambit, Walking Wake, Zamazenta, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike, and Hisuian Arcanine. The given SpDef investment allows Rotom-W to better check Walking Wake, outspeeds uninvested Great Tusk, allowing for you to potentially prevent Rapid Spin or Knock Off. Galarian Slowking is another good defensive mon, acting as the team's primary check to Gholdengo, Dragapult, Iron Valiant, Enamorus, Iron Moth, Volcanion, and Zapdos. Future Sight pairs well with Samurott and Arcanine, allowing them to break past their checks like Dondozo, Rotom-W, and Toxapex. The given EVs allow Slowking to always live Meowscarada's Knock Off from full, while dodging the 2HKO from Volcanion's Earth Power, with the rest put into SpA to reduce passivity. Hisuian Samurott completes the team, checking Kingambit and heavily pressuring Heatran. Ceaseless Edge helps overwhelm defensive cores in combination with Great Tusk's Knock Off. Aqua Jet is nice to pick off weakened threats like Enamorus or Iron Valiant, acting as speed control in tandem with Hisuian Arcanine's Extreme Speed.

I had a lot to say about that team so I'll try to keep the rest of this (relatively) brief. I'm having a lot of fun with the metagame right now, as there is a lot of creativity in how you build, especially with being able to change your types to help vs specific threats. Nothing really feels too overbearing at the moment and that's a great thing. Now I'm going to share my preliminary VR to potentially help people with building and coming up with new ideas.

Edit: I've figured out the Glowking EVs: it always lives Meowscarada's Knock Off from full and dodges the 2HKO from Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball. As the second calc isn't relevant because it's immune to Shadow Ball, I have updated the spread accordingly, also changed a few other spreads around.
