in the hills
spreading confusion
Regigigas @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Precipice Blades
- Dragon Dance
- Spikes
Regigigas gets moving in Balanced Hackmons with a powerful Dragon Dance + Poison Heal set. Regigigas is one of the tier's best Poison Heal setup sweepers, immune to Spectral Thief and boasting STAB Facade. Precipice Blades is primarily coverage for Zamazenta-C, though it can hit less common Steel-types like Magearna, Dialga, and Solgaleo as well. Dragon Dance is preferred over Shift Gear due to its higher PP, which allows it to outlast Strength Sap. Regigigas has very few answers, so Spikes is useful for keeping pressure on forced switches. A Jolly nature lets it outspeed threats like Xerneas before a Dragon Dance, while Adamant brings maximum wallbreaking power. Making sure Toxic Orb activates is a near necessity, so be careful that Regigigas doesn't switch into Knock Off beforehand. While its switch-ins are limited, physical walls like Giratina, Lunala, and Giratina-O are typically very solid checks to this set, so pairing Regigigas with a strong special wallbreaker like Xerneas, Eternatus, or Palkia is ideal.
