MOVEPOOL MAXXED

Team Geodude6

Doñakarasu [Honchkrow] (F)
Nature: Hardy (No effect on stats).
Type:

: Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks. Immune to all status moves used by a Pokemon with the Prankster ability (as well as all moves summoned by a Prankster-boosted non-damaging move).
: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves tagged as #Reach.

Abilities:
Insomnia: (Passive) This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its Attack and BRT are increased by one (1) Rank and its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.
Super Luck: (Passive) This Pokemon's natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 25% of the time.
Moxie: (Passive) This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its attack by one (1) stage. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.

Scout [Kitsunoh] (M)
Nature: Jolly (+15% Spe, +19% Acc, -1 SpA)
Type:

: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

"<Ya listenin'? OK. Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brutha' - I hurt people. I'm a force-a-nature. If you were from where I was from, you'd be fuckin' dead.>"

Abilities:
Frisk: (Passive) The Pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases or decreases in damage, BAP and STAB from the opponent's item. This will not block the increase in BAP moves like Acrobatics and Knock Off that incur when an item is or isn't held. Item-Based increase in ranks (Such as from Rare Candy) are not negated by Frisk. The Pokemon will not be affected by Fling or Natural Gift.
Limber: (Passive) This Pokemon's body is well trained and immune to paralysis.
Iron Fist: (Passive) The Base Attack Power of this Pokemon's "Punch" attacks is increased by two (2).

Jordan [Conkeldurr] (M)
Nature: Adamant (+1 Atk, -1 SpA)
Type:

: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw.

Abilities:
Guts: (Passive) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Sheer Force: (Toggle) At default this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect. When toggled, no effect.
Iron Fist: (Passive) The Base Attack Power of this Pokemon's "Punch" attacks is increased by two (2). (Known attacks affected: Bullet Punch, Comet Punch, Dizzy Punch, Drain Punch, Dynamic Punch, Fire Punch, Focus Punch, Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, Mach Punch, Mega Punch, Meteor Mash, Shadow Punch, Sky Uppercut, Thunder Punch, Power-Up Punch)

Serasus [Aurumoth] (F)
Nature: Sassy (+1 SpD, -15% Spe, -10% Eva)
Type:

: Bug STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).
: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank.

Abilities:
Weak Armor: (Toggle) No default effect. When toggled, the Pokemon loosens its worn defensive armor so that it will break off when an opponent uses a contact attack, reducing the Pokemon's Defense and increasing their Speed by one (1) stage for each hit.
No Guard: (Passive) This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.
Light Metal: (Passive) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Light Metal assumes the maximum possible hits from a multi-hit move for the purposes of priority (e.g. Double Kick gets priority as it reaches 6 BAP, Bullet Seed does not get priority as it reaches 15 BAP).

Hm, looks like we're the first ones to get there, huh. Anyway! Welcome to Battle-by-Post's very first tournament! No big brackets here, only a family-sized, 8-player tour, and today we're having BBP's second best Frenchie Un Passant Ordinaire against returning veteran Geodude6!
Both players brought 4 Pokémon to the match, let's try to analyze them a bit.
UPO brought his trusty, bread-and-butter quatuor of Honchkrow, Wishiwashi, Magnezone and Beedrill, probably not wanting to stray too far out of his comfort zone for this match. Notably, Beedrill will probably be able to Mega Evolve to apply incredible offensive pressure on the opposing team, whereas Wishiwashi can be terrifying with a Waterium Z.
On the other hand, Geodude has an interesting team starring his own Honchkrow, Kitsunoh, Conkeldurr and Aurumoth. Honchkrow aside, the other three are top tier picks and can cover a wide range of threats, even though UPO's Honchkrow has an edge or another over all of these. We may even see a Honchkrow ditto in this match! Interestingly enough, Geodude didn't bring anything capable of Mega Evolving, and all of the mons probably prefer a regular item over a Z-Crystal, but I could be wrong!
Buuuut that's enough talk, let's flip that coin and begin the match!

1-5000: UPO | 5001-10000: Geodude

The players reach out to their Pokéballs aaaaand... here it comes!
UPO opens up with Dory the Wishiwashi, a statball that is sure to be hard to take down for whatever it's going to face... which turns out to be Aurumoth, another statball! A quite classic Waterium Z on one side, a more surprising Silver Powder on the other, and it's go time.
Both Pokémon try to entrap the other to make sure there won't be any switch shenanigans next turn, either with a swarm of bugs (against a swarm of fishes? They'll eat'em!) or with a whirlpool (in a stadium? Okay, you know what, I'm going to suspend my disbelief from now on).
That maneuver is foiled by Wishiwashi, who U-Turns immediately, but not before Aurumoth brutally rams its horn within the school, skewering a few fishes in the process. Well, the majority of that school is gonna escape safely next turn at least.

To finish off the round with a good show of power, Aurumoth lunges at Wishiwashi, before being brutally expelled by a powerful stream of water!
I must say, this new iteration of BBP sees HP flying off super quickly. Wishiwashi won't be in its School form for much longer, but I have a feeling the next round is going to be... rock'n'roll for Geodude.

This incredible round is completely dominated by UPO, using a faw in his opponent's orders to completely turn the match on its head! The matchup wasn't in his favor and yet he scores a pretty clean ORKO using Fly.
How can Geodude react to such an earth-shattering loss?
Is the match decided yet, as Honchkrow is more and more pumped up and UPO can still choose 1 Pokémon among his remaining 2? Or will Geodude manage to come back using the same method? Who knows!

If the weather is set to Rain when you are to act, then use Thunder first and third instances, Thunderbolt second instance.

After an incredibly quick match, UPO gets a flawless victory with his 3 mons still standing! Truly surprising to see him crushing Geodude to such an extent, but our mistakes are what makes us human, and Geodude certainly wasn't put to shame by his own skill. Don't worry!
As both battlers shake hands, UPO moves on to semifinals!
And yes I know I forgot Sturdy but who caaaaaaaares

Rewards:

Un passant ordinaire 4CC, 10UC
Wishiwashi 3CC
Honchkrow 5CC 2KOC
Magnezone 4CC 1KOC

Conkeldurr 5MC
Honchkrow 5MC

Me: 18*1.5 = 27UC

Thank you for playing!
