The wild Pokemon once again warn you of the danger the ancient artifact poses. Apparently a pair of evil beings from the dawn of civilization, whose actions set in motion a near-apocalyptic calamity, were sealed inside the magic vessel as punishment for all eternity. And if let loose, the damage these malefactors could cause is unknown... Pretty standard fairy-tale stuff. You suppose it'll make for a good sales pitch once you try to pawn off the jar later.

In any case, you and your Pokemon abscond with the treasure.

As you are making your way out of the jungle, Avens stumbles over a tree branch and drops the vase into a pool of mud. To your relief, neither Avens nor the treasure were damaged by the fall. Still, it'd be best to clean those globs of mud off of the vase before they harden.
