1v1 Council held a larger quickban slate starting on the 24th, with Necrozma, Cinderace, Meloetta, Hoopa-U, and Deoxys-S up for action. Only Deoxys-S received a supermajority of ban votes. Note that Deoxys-S will still be allowed to be used in this week's DLC kickoff round, but not for any tournament rounds starting after this ban. Tagging Kris to implement, ty!

bo: On paper extremely powerful, too few (about 15) viable counters. Many are forced to run specific sets.
delemon: The main necrozma sets are lo, specs and stall and they all cover most of the meta by themselves. Sets like band necro can be used to lure its few counters like hoopa and volcarona

clerica: genuinely just not all that impressed by it so far not much else to say. I have not run it all that much because it feels clunky and prefer to run melo usually which can do a lot with its normal stab and run similar sets. Will probs be broken down the line but isn't currently

drip: too on the fence abt it to confidently state a side atm. Would rather slate it again with the next one if it isn’t gone already

drip: insane stats, coverage, has no bad sets and can surprise a lot of would be counters, causes a ton of 50/50 matchups that are pretty unintuitive when ur not running it, and consistently beating it isn’t easy. Best Mon in the tier rn easily

Litt: SD+giga seemed interesting, bu+hjk is a fraud, raw LO / cb / counter sets all viable, none of these sets are overbearing and current meta mons have winpaths against it without stretching too hard
Bo: Not nearly as strong as it is made out to be in my experience. Struggles with bulky offense like other protean users. Has more counters, and more diversity therein compared to others on this slate.

drip: great stat line and has some of the most potential of anything on this slate imo. Mainly gets developed specially but still has relic song shenanigans to beat darks and can flex item slot to beat most stuff besides trick scarf mons. (Even then it takes a ton to bulk you)
Litt: too strong, hard to keep up with charm wp / specs with one set for most existing mons, still broken basically

RTM: Between scarf band specs av custap etc it’s hard to account for in the builder, doesn’t have much place staying around as it’s a level above your top threats that aren’t on the slate
drip: not on level of anything else on slate and has better counter play rn than when it was taken out

delemon: Hoopa unbound is one of the strongest mons but this is mainly because it is a dark type in a meta where psychics like necrozma and meloetta are threatening. The opportunity cost hoopa unbound keeps it in check pretty well making it worse in practice than in theory.

With that being said I think its counterplay is still underexplored currently (examples would be bo's knock + uturn hearthflame set, or knock roaring moon which removes its need to run band to win)

clerica: genuinely have not been impressed by this mon at all, there's much better psychic types at the moment and this one has hardly any reliable mus and has to be the perfect set to even have a chance at beating stuff.
