Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the US/UM BH ladder on the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown (link)
  • Bo3, Double Elimination
  • Metagame changes during the middle of a round will take effect in the subsequent round
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!
  • Winner can get a custom role in the BH Discord and bragging rights*!
Posting Etiquette:
  • Activity: Post in this thread with proof of contact or discussion either via screenshot or links to the posts
  • Concession: If your opponent gives you the win, post here saying so, again with screenshot or links to proof
  • Extensions: Post an official request for an extension here with proof as mentioned above of attempts to schedule, and confirmation that both sides accepted an extension
  • Replays: Replays are required but not necessary to have made public. Just make sure you get them to me somehow (you can pm me or edit them out of your post). However, I would appreciate if some replays are public to show off high-level play and may request permission to show some interesting matches during each round. Get replays of all matches in your Bo3 series.

As part of Double Elimination, the second round bracket will take those who lost last round and pit them against each other. View the Extensions Post after this post for any pending results and their timeframe, if needed.

Extension1: Naoki-sama vs Funbot28 - Funbot is a good BH playerand idk much about Naoki-sama's BH career so not much to say here
Extension2: Quantum Tesseract vs Hijasu - I expect QT to win but from what we've already seen of this match I wouldn't be surprised if it's close.
Extension3: Monsareeasy vs Go0d - How can someone predict a game between two such confident players? One finds mons easy and the other is good. Clear highlight game. That being said Go0d has put in respectable performances in past BH tours so I'll have to go for them.

<Extension2 Loser> vs yovan33321 - This is a hard one to predict when yovan hasn't played anyone yet but judging by the teaser match Gijasu posted they seem a decent player and QT is QT. Also possible act issues with yovan if r1 is anything to base it on.
Chessking345 vs iKiQ - this is a tough one for me to call; I'd say chessking definitely has the metagame knowledge to win but the teams I've seen from iKiQ are the kind that are hard to see what's coming and make good use of the surprise. I think Chessking has the edge here though due to experience.
Magii vs Anaconja - Anything could happen here. Depends largely on who's passing teams and how clear headed magii can stay under the pressure. Anaconja is probably the more consistent though. Sorry Magii :[
vivalospride vs pazza - Pazza should win if he doesn't bring wack stuff like he sometimes does but he is kinda variable.
SuperSkylake vs Huston - Gotta go with the BH player here although Huston often plays well so this might be an upset.
PinkDragonTamer vs Amane Misa - pdt used to be a good BH player and is being passed good teams so with the rust falling off he should be a strong pick to win this.
Gurpreet Patel (Sent you a Friend Request) vs loser2017 - SL42 will probably bring 5 lovely miss mons again and be pickled in his own salt. If loser2017 brings a brightpowder mon or two victory is practically certain. This is definitely the match to watch not only for (hopefully) some great games but also I'm anticipating some unconventional sets on both sides.
<Extension1 Loser> vs <Extension3 Loser> - I'm not gonna predict a game where I don't know who either of the players are. Might edit after the extensions happen.

Gonna edit in predicts but:

Magii vs. Anaconja- ACML wins this since I legit thought I was playing Jeran and told him what I was bringing >.>. It sucks one of us has to knock the other out but ig it has to happen eventually. If I can keep a clear head and play with a brain I might win,
but it’s a stretch.
