Back and Forth... Gorm vs QibingZero!!

Well I've never written a warstory before but i've read many that i enjoyed!

My sand team, team BIG

Qibing's Team will be revealed as the story progresses!

I'll be having my mons in purple and Qibing's in blue, and commentaries/what's going on in my head in red.

This is pretty long so get some cereal or something

gormenghast sent out Tyranitar!
QibingZero sent out Jolteon!
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed! I'm only going to mention lefties if they aren't cancelled by ss, and I'll only mention sandstorm losses if typing doesnt cancel them out

vs.

I know from experience that Qibing is a good battler and wont risk losing his Jolteon to a possible pursuit and will probably BP out. I go for my strongest move, Crunch, without looking back!

- - -

Jolteon used Baton Pass.
QibingZero switched in Swampert (lvl 100 Swampert ?).

Tyranitar used Crunch.
Swampert lost 46% of its health.

Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

Cool, that paid off. now pert is in the 2hko range and Qibing probably knows he can't ohko back. Another switch for me!

- - -

QibingZero switched in Lucario
Tyranitar used Crunch.
It's not very effective...

Lucario lost 27% of its health.

vs.

Ok now he's really forcing me out. I don't have a strict Lucario counter but I cant do something to weaken the incoming cc...

- - -

gormenghast switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Lucario's attack!

Lucario used Aura Sphere.
It's not very effective...

Gyarados lost 31% of its health.

vs.

x___x SpecsLuke is bad news for this team. Jirachi is my best "counter" really, and he can rip though the rest of my team easy!

- - -

QibingZero switched in Gengar (lvl 100 Gengar ?).

Gyarados used Waterfall.
Gengar lost 79% of its health.

vs.

This is just a reminder always to Waterfall on the switch when you first bring out Gyara. Luckily, Gengar I can happilly switch in on provided he's not packing Specs. I switch in SDef Jirachi hoping for a Thunderbolt but instead...

- - -

gormenghast switched in Jirachi (lvl 100 Jirachi).

Gengar used Hypnosis.

Jirachi fell asleep!
Jirachi restored 6% of its health.

vs.

Bad. He just slept my semireliable SpecsLuke "counter". Gyarados might still have a chance but SR could go up at any second and I'm scared of his ability to switch in repeatedly

- - -

Gengar is tightening its focus!
Jirachi is fast asleep!

Gengar used Focus Punch.

Jirachi lost 29% of its health.

Gengar lost 9% of its health.
QibingZero's Gengar fainted.

Jirachi restored 6% of its health.

Gengar is down but the damage is done. Here's hoping he deosn't switch in Lucario...

6-5 Gormenghast

- - -

QibingZero switched in Lucario (lvl 100 Lucario ?).
Lucario used Aura Sphere.

Jirachi lost 51% of its health.
Jirachi is fast asleep!
Jirachi restored 6% of its health.

vs.

Yep, easy 2hko now, despite SDef based EVs. Stupidly, I don't predict his Jolteon switchin on an obvious Gyara switch on my part, and instead send out Celebi to conserve Gyara's HP

- - -

gormenghast switched in Celebi
QibingZero switched in Jolteon
Jolteon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Jolteon lost 6% of its health.

vs.

Yep, this double switch leaves me at a disagvantage. While Jolteon can't beat my Recover with HP[Ice], but neither of my Celebi's attack's can touch Jolteon, who gets a free Sub to pass to whoever! Desperately I U-turn to at least dent the upcoming Sub.

- - -

Jolteon used Shadow Ball.
It's super effective!

Celebi lost 58% of its health.
Celebi used U-turn.

Jolteon lost 29% of its health.

gormenghast switched in Heatran
Jolteon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Jolteon lost 6% of its health.

vs.

Well that's good to know, Celebi's U-Turn breaks Jolteon's sub... Well at least this one! Specs Jolteon is pretty terrifying right now, especially with jirachi asleep! luckily I can switch Heatran in and scare it off. Looking back, switching in Tar and Pursuiting would have been an infinitely better idea! Heh I'm noob, but I guess I wanted to get SR up since it's not always easy to get up.

- - -

QibingZero switched in Swampert

Heatran used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!

Swampert's leftovers restored its health a little!
Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

This is the way it's supposed to work, I switch in Scarf Heatran and SR as they switch to a counter. I wouldn't have been able to touch pert short of a burn from FB, so this went well

- - -

gormenghast switched in Celebi

Swampert used Stealth Rock.
Swampert's leftovers restored its health a little!
Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

Fair enough, He gets his rocks off too. Luckily I get a free recover for Celebi, who is kind of needing it.

- - -

QibingZero switched in Jirachi
Pointed stones dug into Jirachi.
Jirachi lost 6% of its health.

Celebi used Recover.
Celebi restored 50% of its health.

Jirachi's leftovers restored its health a little!
Jirachi restored 6% of its health.

vs.

I make a foolish move here and brave a Leech Seed which is fooling since he's either SubCM (and will block LS) or U-turn (and Will barely be affectedd by it). Luckily it isn't SubCM!

- - -

Jirachi used Reflect.
A barrier was formed!

Celebi used Leech Seed.

Jirachi was seeded!
Jirachi's health was sapped by leech seed!
Jirachi lost 12% of its health

Celebi regained health!
Celebi restored 12% of its health.

vs.

Double Switch coming here, luckily I'm slower and at near max health so despite his incoming U-turn denting me, I have the advantage!

- - -

Jirachi used U-turn.
It's super effective!

Celebi lost 45% of its health.[/color=blue]
QibingZero switched in Jolteon
Pointed stones dug into Jolteon.

gormenghast switched in Heatran
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.

Jolteon is buffetted by the sandstorm!
Jolteon lost 6% of its health.

vs.

I switch to Heatran to scare off Jolteon since Tar will just be BPed from. (thanks flakita ~_~)

- - -

QibingZero switched in Swampert
Pointed stones dug into Swampert.
Swampert lost 6% of its health.

Heatran used Fire Blast.
It's not very effective...

Swampert lost 32% of its health.
Swampert's leftovers restored its health a little!
Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

this is bad, swampert walls me and i dont want to risk getting celebi too low on a predicted ice beam I'll send in skarm to set up some spikes at least.

- - -

gormenghast switched in Skarmory
Pointed stones dug into Skarmory.
Skarmory lost 12% of its health.

Swampert used Roar.
gormenghast switched in Tyranitar
Pointed stones dug into Tyranitar.
Tyranitar lost 12% of its health.

Swampert's leftovers restored its health a little!
Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

He does the smart thing and Roars out my switch. I guess I was getting frustrated at this point so i went for it with Crunch, completely forgetting reflect!

- - -

Tyranitar used Crunch.
Swampert lost 26% of its health.

Swampert used Hydro Pump.
It's super effective!

Tyranitar lost 71% of its health.

Swampert's leftovers restored its health a little!
Swampert restored 6% of its health.

vs.

This is a severe mistake on my part. Not much I can do now except hope I kill him

- - -

Tyranitar used Crunch.
Swampert lost 23% of its health.

Swampert used Earthquake.
It's super effective!

Tyranitar lost 16% of its health.
gormenghast's Tyranitar fainted.

It doesn't affect Skarmory...

Skarmory restored 6% of its health.

vs.

Ursaring, eh? Fearing the worst case scenario (he protects and activates quick feet and kills me with EQ, I switch to Skarm. Works out fine for me. Looks like he has lefties, so no fear of Quick Feet/Guts for now. Time to Spike, finally!

Props

- RTDDGyara, for saving my fucking dick and just being awesome.
- Heatran for potentially cleaning up his team
- Specs Jolteon with dry baton pass is really cool

Slops

- Pretty bad descision making on not uturning to tar to kill jolteon, Especially since sr didnt help much
- Me staying in and Crunching reflected swampert x_x
- Crazy back and forth hax (although it made this battle stand out!)

Everstone

Now 100% reliable
is a Contributor Alumnus
Very nice. I especially like the use of colors to differentiate between the to combatants as well as your thoughts.

thanks to everyone for being nice and not pointing out how i made like 30 formatting errors. most of them are fixed now, lemme know if i missed any

Incredibly suspenseful gorm, excellent warstory. As of the time of this post you seem to have a few formatting issues but it wasn't a big deal at all, this is written well and looked to be a lot of fun

edit: fuck I look like an asshole now

Nice battle gorm. Anyway Jolly QF Ursaring caps out at 343 speed in case you didn't know.

I thought you were going to lose at the end. Nice surprise. Also a few of the tags are messed up, although it doesn't interfere to much so you don't really need to bother fixing them unless other people complain.

thank you for your post I_am_Legend ^__^;

You kept saying you should have switched to Ttar to pursuit Jolteon, but wouldn't Jolteon have just baton passed away?
I'm 99% sure he was Specd

Awesome, this is the kind of format I enjoy reading!

You kept saying you should have switched to Ttar to pursuit Jolteon, but wouldn't Jolteon have just baton passed away? I think you made a good call with Heatran. He has to wonder if you are scarf'd or not (you were) and will never stay in the cause trouble when it's fearing an earth power.

that was a great warstory, and even better formatting. at the end, it got really intense. i couldnt tell who was gonna win. great job.

You're right, it was long. I wanted to eat some cheerios anyway...

Very suspenseful battle, the hax helped here
Not too many mistakes

Perhaps all smogon users should wait one million posts before writing their first warstory...

Though this really isn't the time or place, I'd suggest revising that Gyarados EV spread. Investing some of those HP EVs in Def would be more efficient for taking physical hits, and I'd recommend using 144 Spe EVs. It's a good benchmark; it outspeeds non-Scarf Gengar after a Dragon Dance.

i really like the hp because i switch gyara in on heatran almost always. i might try the speed though, but i'd have to take it out of attack =\

the moment I saw ursaring I began to secretly root for him. that was well played on both your parts. great warstory, better than many that I've read in a long time (though the ubers one from kingler today was pretty good too)

Good warstory.

It had more twists than some of your Firebot posts, great formatting, and a very unpredictable battle.

Really interesting match, though I have to admit I was cheering for QibingZero once I saw Ursaring. The bear just doesn't get enough love.
