[SET COMMENTS]
Equipped with an Assault Vest, Magnezone turns into a bulky tank on Electric teams. With its bulk, it is able to serve as the type's best answer to strong Fairy-types such as Hatterene and Flutter Mane. Flash Cannon allows Magnezone to threaten Fairy- and Ice-types such as Hatterene, Clefable, and Alolan Ninetales. Mirror Coat allows Magnezone to take advantage of its great special bulk to live a hit from some super effective coverage and punish the attacker, such as Focus Blast from Choice Specs Dragapult and STAB attacks from Heatran. Analytic takes advantage of Magnezone's below average Speed tier to deal extra damage against faster threats, while Magnet Pull allows it to trap Steel-types such as Choice-locked Gholdengo, Corviknight, and Skarmory. The HP and Special Defense EVs avoid a 2HKO from Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Shadow Ball, while the Special Attack EVs allow it to OHKO Flutter Mane back if it is not behind screens. The Speed EVs allow it to outspeed Adamant Azumarill.
Magnezone's resistance to Fairy-type moves is appreciated by teammates such as Iron Hands, Pawmot, and Raging Bolt. In return, Iron Hands and Pawmot are able to check threats to Magnezone like Chien-Pao, Kingambit, Hisuian Goodra, Landorus, and Blissey, while Raging Bolt is able to revenge kill faster sweepers such as Barraskewda. Additionally, Pawmot is able to provide unique support via Revival Blessing, allowing either Magnezone or another one of its teammates another chance. Sandy Shocks is able to set Stealth Rock and Spikes to aid Magnezone in taking out foes, and with Earth Power, it can take out Fire-types that keep Magnezone in check such as non-Air Balloon Heatran and Choice Band Hisuian Arcanine. Rotom-W and Zapdos provide a Ground immunity, with Rotom-W additionally being able to check said threats like Excadrill, Gliscor, and Great Tusk, as well as spread burns with Will-O-Wisp. With Zapdos's Flying typing, it can also handle Fighting-types such as Zamazenta and Breloom. Magnezone is able to handle Meowscarada for Rotom-W and Alolan Ninetales for Zapdos.
