Yes as it says in unburdens description that trick should still activate it. In Gen 4 on shoddy battle this happened no problem, yet now Gen 5 on PO it doesn't activate. My question is did unburdens mechanics change from Gen 4 to 5/ does PO just have it wrong/ or did shoddy have it wrong in Gen 4. Furthermore has anyone tried this in game in either generation?
Neither you or your opponent made any worthwhile plays and the actual battle is not very exciting, even with good commentary it wouldn't be better than average.
He had no weather enducer of his own and perhaps his opponent didn't think he had SP, either way it wouldn't be terrible to be less of a jerk and suggest constuctive criticism.
While it didn't affect the weather war, to lose a Pokemon turn 1 for the sake of SR is not good. Given that Swampert is likely to pack a powerful water type move, and TTar is part Rock, it isn't exactly a very smart move to leave TTar in, especially since Swampert can go Mixed to hit on TTar's physical side which isn't boosted by Sandstorm (and taking a SE hit isn't exactly very nice, though whether that's worth it for SR or not is a personal preference sort of thing). Since that happened turn 1, I said it would put a lot of people off, like me for instance. He asked whether it would be good, I told him my opinion. So don't call me a jerk, alright? Especially when we both came to the same conclusion that the log wouldn't be very good for a Warstory, and you weren't any nicer about it.
At any rate, it's time for my question: given there is no item to prolong Gravity's effect (unlike Light Clay for Screens, for example), is there any way to help keep Gravity up, or a strategy to make it easier for a Pokemon to set it up? Smogon's guide doesn't help too much, the best I can think of is a Reuniclus carrying TR.
