Hello everyone. An Auction Tournament is basically a tournament where players make a team by bidding on given mons in a certain amount of time and then battle each other using those teams. Such tournaments are widely enjoyed as user-hosted tours in the tournaments room on the sim.
In this tournament, the 32 participants will be divided into 4 groups of 8 players each. Each group will have an Auction Double Elimination Tournament within itself. Winners of each group (Winner's Bracket and Loser's Bracket) will then proceed towards another 8-player double elimination tournament which will have best of three battles.
The tournament battles shall be played in [Gen 9] National Dex format. Terastalization is banned, whereas players are free to use Mega-Evolutions and Z-moves. The Auctions are going to be held in tours.n_stuff subroomgroupchat and all of the battles are to played on Pokemon Showdown. Participants are expected to follow the Smogon Tournament Rules and General Guidelines, including but not limited to rules against ghosting, timer/disconnect clauses, and activity calls. -Everyone will get 20k credits to spend.
-Players need to bid on a pokemon generated through the !randpoke command on PS!
-Biddings must be done in multiples of 100.
-Highest bidder at the end of 30 seconds gets the displayed Pokemon.
-One player can have maximum of 6 Pokemon.
-Either you run out of money, or out of slots.
-60 Pokemon will be rolled in each group.
-All teams will be Public.
