This is a disclaimer to all tutees who wish to sign up in the future rounds, because Round 95 was especially bad. We have explained this in the OP of every round, but I feel like this needs to be emphasized a little more:
Get Skype AND IRC. It's mandatory. Use Smogon PM to establish initial contact with your tutor, that's fine. But don't expect all of your sessions to be on Smogon PM or on PS! Chat; those aren't particularly amazing ways for one-on-one tutoring. You must use whichever forms of communication your tutor prefers to use, no exceptions.
Don't join if you aren't familiar enough with the bare basics of competitive battling. If you've never played in a tournament setting let alone touch a competitive ladder on PS!, don't join. We're obviously not asking for you to be amazing battlers to sign up, but you must have at least played competitively in order to sign up for Battling 101. The program is for players who have hit a wall in terms of improving, not for players who don't know what certain moves and natures do. Becoming a proficient battler doesn't require a tutor to spoonfeed you basic information, it requires you to have the initiative to learn it yourself. There are tons of resources out there, use them.
Be mindful of your own availability, and don't bother joining if you won't be active enough. If you're not active enough, you're wasting a spot in our program. Signups these days barely last an hour because everybody wants a tutor these days. This round was especially awful in terms of inactive tutees, so we may consider upping the consequences if this turns out to be a pattern.
