Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
First impression on the Greninja/Cinderace nerfs is they are probably going to be relagated to becoming Choice Band/Spec nukes.
Its weird to me though that Protean, Libero and Intrepid Sword/Dauntless Shield all got (rightfully) nerfed but Speed Boost was apparently left unchanged.
I'm...
I think the design itself of Bewear is fine personally, it's just the color palette it got isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I think GF did a better job with Stufful in that regard.
That is true, but unfortunately it still lacks any way to heal itself outside of Leftovers/Black Sludge so Amoonguss is still looking better all around.
While rain support itself is nice, I would not say Politoed is an automatic A just because of it. Independently, Politoed has mediocre speed and doesn't offer much in the form of Special Attacking that another Pokemon like Greninja doesn't already do better. It's only function would be rain...
Yeah I'm doing the calcs and quite frankly, HP Ground is pretty damn redundant. It's only benefit is that it would keep Heatran from completely walling Pidgeot.
Honestly, it's about the best mileage most can get out of a M. Pidgeot (save for maybe trading Workup for Defog). As a special sweeper though I dunno, I think it's still going to get Overshadowed by others like Charizard Y.
What's the general consensus on Mega Swampert and Rain Support? Should Rain be one of it's four moves or will it need to carry Politoed by the hip like Venusaur had to with Ninetails last gen?
Not criticizing you but one thing to keep in mind is that the rankings are all hypotheticals based on what a pokemon potentially brings to the table. A pokemon can be S-rank but that won't prevent someone from using it in effectively.
I get wanting to be creative, but pushing a Physical Greninja would be like adamantly sticking to a Special Azumarill. One version is objectively better than the other, so don't get upset when you're told that.
