    What program are you using to generate the spreads? JavaRNG takes foreeever but PokeRNG takes around 2 minutes usually.

    You really don't need a calibrated delay. I never calibrated in my SS game, and I can hit delays anywhere from 500 to 6000.

    I read your question in Simple questions: simple answers post. I don't think it is the same in R/S/FR/LG as it is in Emerald, although I'm not 100% (but nobody else has mention it in my extensive RNG studies, so I doubt it is). But the RNG method in Emerald is based 100% on stop watch time, while in D/P/PT/HG/SS it is based on calender time and delay, and then frame on top of that. A little confusing, but Emerald RNG is easier than D/P/PT/HG/SS RNG, because all you need is a stop watch and good reflexes.

    P.S. I really though you'd have trusted your scientists with this question, I'm a bit disappointed.

    Actually, if you haven't done it yet, I think a good way to find your SID is to just keep catching shiny gyarados (via soft reseting) and inputing their IVs into the chain to SID function of the RNG reporter. Don't quote me on it, but I also haven't RNG'd in HG, only in my Diamond version. But the first thing I did on my own, was just catch a legendary with good stats, and then it just seemed to click.

    It's really not that hard, I would suggest looking up a few of Bearsfan092's videos on youtube and forwarding me any questions that you may still have. The easiest piece of advice is not to overthink it.
