Yung Dramps
awesome gaming
Dwebble if true is an hysterical oddball pick and I love it. Also ayeee my brother Mr. Mime
MOBAs usually have a ingame currency that you earn and lets you unlock charachters, which obviously you can "speed up" by paying real money.Question: For games like League of Legends and Arena of Valor, are the avalible characters avalible by default or do you have to pay microtransactions to unlock characters?
It feels bizarre to me that they went with Cramorant of all things, instead of the many Flying-type Pokémon with a better reputation among fans (right, Staraptor?)
And this is coming from someone that does like the mon. It was nowhere near a first choice to me.
Folks, the game is good actually
It has begun, the ultimate seasoning for any MOBA game: Skins! seems your pokemon can rock some alternate outfits, and we see Crustle is also confirmed playable as well
Well, that's the thing. I have no doubt the game was going to be "good" because, as Estronic said, it's a League of Legend clone. It wasn't an experiment new style of game where if it didn't have the Pokemon franchise attached it wouldn't get much attention. No, this is Tencent, of course they're going to go for the sure thing by re-skinning one of their most popular (and especially profitable) games. Heck, and for everyone who has no interest in League of Legend but do Pokemon maybe this would be their first look into this genre and some may find to like it. So there was little doubt to its predicted success, the criticism was more towards its link to Tencent and the lack of creativity (the ONLY reason this exists is to make money. It doesn't look like it'll bring anything "fresh" to the Pokemon franchise that'll increase its worldbuilding or how we perceive the Pokemon & what they're capable of).Folks, the game is good actually
im pretty sure R_N said that sarcastically as a nod to the costumes being kinda neatWell, that's the thing. The datamine confirmed the Gible line in Unite.
Seems like Canada will be the lucky ducks to play the beta for Unite first! Also, did we know Garchomp was in already? cause if not...there he is!

I assume they just went with a random theme they thought would be fun or fit the pokemon. Also in Count Bleck's post above he shows the Twitter image of its alt costume: it gets aHawaiianAlolan shirt and snorkeling goggles.
So while I get a few of the costumes (especially like Lucario's which references Sir Aaron), does anyone know why Cinderace becomes a pirate and Machamp becomes a hula dancer?
if you or anyone else needs an alternative, i would suggest yo-kai watch. i know it gets bashed for being a ripoff (i can kinda see that with the first game but by the second game they found their own thing), but the devs really care about the franchise. look up any gameplay video of ykw4 and you'll see what i mean. Level-5 has made so many good games but they never get recognizedSword and shied was already a bland cash grab, do we seriously need another bland cash grab? Honestly, I’m just so done with Pokémon. I hate where the series is going. I guess we can have hope for gen 9, but it seriously feels like we’re in the dark times now. Sorry, I just had to vent.
Nobody has mentioned anything since the beta released a couple days ago, so I'll share some thoughts from playing a few games yesterday and today. I do not play MOBAs, but the gameplay objectives seemed pretty intuitive. I picked Talonflame/Fletchling because I thought speed was good, though I tried chasing a Venusaur once and noticed that we were moving at the exact same speed, so I guess being a "speedster" is more about having dashing attacks. Every time I pulled off the same strategy of grinding in the middle and leveling up early. It worked out pretty well and from there Talonflame can ambush to kill really easily if all its moves are active. I noticed that in endgame people seem to forgo goals for fighting people or the bosses which give a point buff, though you still have to actually redeem it to count. A nice trick that you can do with an instant goal buff is to use Fly for invulnerability and drop on the opposing goal for a guaranteed dunk. The normal 10 minute battles can drag on since it's always the same map, but I suppose it could be worse and have no time limit. There are some 5 minute quick battles that have more varied maps and mechanics, like a focus on farming with double points for scoring after a teammate. This would be a nice casual mode, but this mode is only playable at certain times that aren't even visible. Other than that, something that confused me for a bit was that Lucario doesn't even spawn as Riolu. Then again, Pikachu doesn't get Pichu so maybe they don't want you to fight babies. I also noticed that there are some buttons relating to voice chat that don't seem to do anything yet. Maybe this will be another game that's compatible with the Nintendo Switch Online™ app.Seems like Canada will be the lucky ducks to play the beta for Unite first!
