Zygarde is a powerful user of Pixilate boosted Extreme Speed and is able to function as an offensive check to premier offensive threats, such as Galarian Zapdos and Zygarde, as well as a late game cleaner. Dragon Dance is used to boost past its checks, while Thousand Arrows helps Zygarde to beat Steel-type checks such as Solgaleo. Facade is a useful tool that allows Zygarde to ignore status and continue to deal high damage, Substitute can ease its setup attempts and Dragon Tail can force the opponent into positions that it can take advantage of. Zygarde's HP EVs allow it to have a good chance of surviving Metagrossite Solgaleo's Sunsteel Strike from full HP, the Speed EVs are used so that Zygarde can outspeed Solgaleo after one Dragon Dance, while maximum Attack EVs and an Adamant nature allow it to deal as much damage as possible.

Powerful wallbreakers such as Kartana and Galarian Zapdos benefit from Zygarde's ability to clean up weakened teams. Magnezone is a strong offensive partner, eliminating Steel- and Water-types that it may have issues breaking through, like Magearna and Slowbro. Its typing gives it a weakness to other Pixilate Extreme Speed users such as Entei and Regieleki, so sturdy defensive Pokemon like Slowbro and Milotic can help patch up this weakness. In addition, these Pokemon can function as slow pivots to allow Zygarde safe entry onto the field.

[SET COMMENTS]
Zygarde is a threatening setup sweeper with the combination of Thousand Arrows and Lucarionite making it even more formidable. Dragon Dance is used to boost past its would-be checks, especially in combination with Substitute, giving Zygarde more opportunities to set up. Extreme Speed is useful to pick off weakened foes that are faster than it, like Galarian Zapdos. Outrage is powerful neutral coverage that can help it break through targets like Lunala and Pain Split is an option to give Zygarde more staying power during its sweep.

Often found on offensive teams, Zygarde can punch holes into opposing teams and can also finish off weakened teams in turn for teammates such as Xerneas and Groudon. It is threatened by Pixilate Extreme Speed users like Entei or Regieleki and teammates such as Swampert and Groudon can help patch up those weaknesses. Slow pivots, such as Swampert and Landorus-T, are useful to give Zygarde safe entry onto the field. These two Pokemon can also function as Stealth Rock users which can allow it to acheive KOs it would otherwise miss.
