September is coming very soon and with it an other inactivity phase from me. So like last year I'm dropping the teams I successfully used on the ladder.

- Sky Uppercut
- Swords Dance
- Protect
Bronzor+Gourgeist is the defensive backbone of the team, the Fire weakness is counterbalanced with Swanna, Zweilous and Combusken whereas the Dark weakness is counterbalanced by Zweilous and Combusken. Zweilous is the team's breaker that helps against most stall (band outrage 2hkoes avalugg after sr and has a small chance to 2hko without sr) while also weakening physical wall for combusken sweep. Vire gives the team momentum and speed control whereas Swanna allows the team not to get 6-0ed by Combusken. Metronome is a cool item that allows Swanna to pressurize most passive Pokemon such as Mareanie and Pyukumuku.
Vibrava+Oricorio BO
:vibrava::oricorio::relicanth::shiftry::silvally::electrode:
Vibraninf (Vibrava) @ Eviolite
Ability: Levitate

Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Taunt
The team on its own is very unorthodoxal. Vibrava+Oricorio have a very good defensive synergy which makes a great defensive core for the team. Then Relicanth is the rocker and first normal resist and can also act as a cleaner with Rock Polish. Shiftry is the team breaker. Silvally-Ghost and Electrode forms a VoltTurn core with Vibrava while helping the team with its weakness to Normal type and Swanna. Sunny Day on Silvally helps against Rain team which otherwise destroys the team and can also allow Shiftry to sweep late game with Chlorophyll.
I used this team several times but I only saved one replay...

This team brought me to first place on the ladder. Simipour is great to bait some Pokemon that annoy the team such as Komala, Mareanie and Swanna. Combusken is the team cleaner which appreciates Simipour's ability to deal with most of the mon that threatens it. Muk is the special tank of the team, the SubPunch is prefered over the Curse because it's doesn't sink momentum as much. Solrock is the physical wall and helps with Pokemon such as Golem, Bouffalant and Electivire. Silvally-Dark is the defogger of the team as well as the primar switch-in to psychic and dark types. Vire is the team speed control, revenge killer and electric immunity.

Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 1 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Substitute
- Destiny Bond
It's a very brainless team that I used during Eggy suspect, even with the last shift the team is still efficient. Lead with Crustle and stack hazard. Pawniard+Exeggutor have a great offensive synergy. Raichu demolishes stall and fat builds. Silvally is there for speed control. Driblim is there for Fightvally, Spinblocking and Destiny Bond.
Sun

Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Double-Edge
- Swords Dance
A very standard sun build. Onix is the lead of the team, Volbeat is a secondary setter and the team defensive background for example for Shiftry. The other Pokemon are abusers not much else to say other than pray for not facing Chloro Jumpluff. Like most other weather team it has either an incredible mu or a terrible one.

Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Defensive Wishiwashi is a very underrated Pokemon that has a similar bulk to Poliwrath but better offense and access to U-turn while not having Circle Throw nor Water Absorb. Rotom-Fan and Golem completes the defensive core with a Grass-resists and Electric-immunity. Silvally-Ghost is there for Defog, not losing to Bibarel nor Bibarel and also pressurize Psychic types. Swanna is a very cool scarfer that also provide a secondary defog versus Mareanie balanced with which the team struggles. Pinsir is the team wallbreaker putting a lot of pressure on stall and bulkier build.
Komala+Mawile Balance
:komala::mawile::jumpluff::electivire::silvally::rampardos:
Dodoala (Komala) @ Leftovers
Ability: Comatose
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD

Jolly Nature
- Wild Charge
- Volt Switch
- Earthquake

Silvallié-Dragon (Silvally-Dragon) @ Dragon Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Defog
- U-turn

Charkos (Rampardos) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Rock Slide
- Fire Punch
- Ice Beam
- Substitute
This team is a Bulky Offense based on the Mawile+Komala core which is able to blank check a big part of the metagame. Mawile brings a Normal-resist and SR to the team, while Komala handles most Special attackers and provides Wish support to Dragon-Vally and Mawile. Electivire acts as a revenge killer to a lot of threatening Pokemon to the team such as Swanna and Simisear. Rampardos is the team wallbreaker and answer to stall teams since nothing is safe to switch into it. Jumpluff is the team wincon against more offensive team and can check problematic Pokemon such as BU Komala, NP Simis and Shiftry while also 6-0ing Sun teams. Finally Silvally-Dragon is the team's hazard control and can bring Ramp easily on the field thanks to U-turn. Also with Wish support it completes the defensive core by checking Fire-types like Rapidash, Electric-types such as Vire.

I only have one team to dump atm. Here it is.

FWG MONKEYS BULKY OFFENSE (?)
:bw/simipour::bw/simisear::bw/simisage::bw/electivire::bw/bronzor::bw/vibrava:

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- U-turn
- Roost
- Earthquake

This team went through a few changes, but this is the final version. The monkeys create a decent FWG Core that hits the entire tier for either neutral or super-effective damage. NP + Waterium Z Simipour is the main wincon of the team. It can force out mons that it can beat, sub on the predicted switch-in, then set up from there. Simisear acts as another wincon, threatening Simipour’s checks. Simisage completes the monkey core, and has good coverage in HP Ice, Knock Off to cripple mons, and Rock Slide to hit flying types and KO Swanna after rocks. (Although it must be aware of Scarf) Scarf Electivire provides the team with some much needed speed control, an electric immunity, a revenge killer, and serves as a check to Swanna, which this core is pretty weak to. Bronzor is the main rocker of the team, and also acts as another check for Swanna. Vibrava ends this team off as the main defogger, having good defensive synergy with Bronzor, handling their weaknesses very well. It also acts as a second electric immunity and is a slow pivot with U-Turn to get the monkeys and Evire in safely. This defensive core is weak to Shiftry, but the monkeys and their coverage can handle it pretty well.

It's that time again. Built a lot of teams for OMPL and ZUPL as well as during summer break, so I'll post those. I'll also post older teams I find p fun. As a precaution, many of these teams will not be incredibly solid as I made them for fun (ladder play) or for specific opponents. Hope you enjoy:

Cacturne Offense: :cacturne::silvally_ghost::rapidash::golem::swanna::electivire:
Used this week 1 vs tom holland because I did not build for myself that week and skimmed through my builder before the match. Picked this team because it's always been reliable for me despite the perception of Cacturne as a worse Shiftry. I do not deny that Shiftry is better, but I really like Cacturne's ability to muscle past certain Grass- and Dark-type switch-ins thanks to its monstrous power and Superpower. Can be a brainless Pokemon against slower teams and against Mareanie+Bronzor teams which definitely factored into me using it vs someone that I've never seen play ZU. Thanks to Superpower and hitting 200 Speed, Cacturne is able to smack Bouffalant and SpD Komala. With that logic, I paired Cacturne with SD Silvally-Ghost because the two pair well offensively. Rest of the team is fairly straightforward. Firium Rapidash provides speed and good utility, Swanna+Golem are the backbone of the team, and Scarf Evire for Speed control. I really wish I had shown off the team better week 1 as the game was poorly played on my end.

Firium Torkoal Stall: :torkoal::bronzor::lickilicky::altaria::wooper::silvally-grass:

Idea behind the team is simple: try to make Torkoal work. Knew Torkoal was going to be the physical blanket check and that it can reliably check Shiftry, so I made it Rest-Talk Spin Lava Plume with Firium Z. This way, Torkoal reliably checks Pokemon such as Shiftry, Leafeon, Kecleon, Mawile, and so on. Added Bronzor because it pairs exceptionally well with this Torkoal set. Lickilicky and Altaria are the special blanket checks and provide the team with great utility. Added Wooper because I'm not a fan of Pyukumuku+Ground-type stalls as I find them too weak to stall breaking Grass-types. Wooper's role compression is vital and even though it is a bad Pokemon, it works here. Silvally-Poison as the glue mon because I'm a firm believer in stall teams needing something for NP Simisage and QD Safeguard Bellossom. Toucannon will 6-0 if not played around properly.

Specs Eggy V1: :exeggutor::silvally_fighting::golem::rapidash::simipour::rotom-fan:

First Eggy team I built. Specs Eggy+Silvally-Fighting is an incredibly straightforward, tried and true core. Golem is the obligatory rocker and Normal-type resist. Firium Rapidash is the mandatory Shiftry check and has three attacks here to better break things. Three attacks Taunt Simipour is a great pick here thanks to its Speed tier, power, and important counterplay against stall. Scarf Rotom-S rounds out the team. Overall the team is good, but can lack a punch because Specs Eggy is the only dedicated breaker.

Guts Raticate Webs: :raticate::leavanny::golem::silvally-dragon::electivire::floatzel:

Guts Raticate is so fun. This team was originally meant for ladder and it's proven to be relatively effective. Guts Raticate is incredibly scary under the right circumstances and with Sticky Web support, common Scarfers such as Electivire and Silvally, and naturally fast Pokemon such as Rapidash, the Simis, and Floatzel no longer revenge kill Raticate. Leavanny+Golem here because Golem is a fantastic HO rocker and I wanted the offensive support Leavanny brings (its typing and Knock Off is appreciated). Toxic Silvally-Dragon because there's no point in having Defog on Webs and the team needs Silvally-Dragon's offensive utility. Scarf Electivire and mixed Floatzel round out the team with their Speed and ability to outplay threats such as Swanna and Combusken. Main issues with the team I've found are the reliance on Raticate to break teams and Shiftry, Combusken, and Swanna are incredibly tough to switch into, even for offense.

Week 1 vs RawMelon: :simisage::floatzel::beheeyem::electivire::golem::silvally-fighting:

Yo man heading into OMPL week 1 Xayah gassed up our ZU to the point where a loss felt like it'd be a stain on our reputation. Needless to say, I had to try and win vs arguably the best ZU player at the time in RawMelon. Anyway, the goal of the team was to break balance and outplay offense. Mixed Simisage is incredibly good at doing that so we chose to build around it. Next up we added Pursuit Floatzel in case he brought Kadabra, and Floatzel itself pairs well with mixed Simisage as it is able to check faster Pokemon and weaken special walls such as Muk. Originally the next Pokemon was Duosion, but we went with Beheeyem instead after some testing because of its raw telepathic power. Specially biased mixed Choice Scarf Evire was added for speed control and because it generally has a nice balance matchup being able to pivot around relatively well. Tank Adamant Golem with Fire Punch was added next. Golem itself is the necessary Normal-type and Evire check, and seeing as how the team was so offensive, I wanted to limit free switch-ins as much as possible (hence Fire Punch for Bronzor). Speedy Defog Silvally-Fighting was originally Tbolt for Swanna and was then changed to Ice Beam because Gourgeist-XL sits on much of the team. Was happy with how the team turned out even though it has some major weaknesses like offensive Water-types.

Week 2 vs Yami: :exeggutor::avalugg::mareanie::sandslash::komala::silvally-dragon:

Going into this week I knew I wanted to use Exeggutor. However, I shot myself in the foot building so many Eggy teams and then posting them in the NP thread that I had to go out of my comfort zone. Because of this, I built a semi-stall team featuring Specs Eggy. Honestly I'm not proud of this team and would have preferred to use V2. Anyway, the team comprises of a defensive backbone of Avalugg, Mareanie, and Sandslash that provide loads of utility. Team then has Scarf Komala for speed control and SD Silvally-Dragon as the win con. The game itself was poorly played and full of favorable hax for me, so yeah ugly week.

Week 5 vs Durza: :leafeon::silvally-ghost::swanna::sandslash::komala::rotom-fan:

Team I brought vs Durza. Had no concrete plan going in except for Pshot 3 attacks Silvally-Ghost+CB Komala. Team was made during my Sandslash phase and has numerous flaws such as lack of breaking and not really having a clear wincon. Regardless, the team centers around Silvally-Ghost+CB Komala and Swanna+Sandslash form the entry hazards core. They also check a lot for the team. Utility Rotom-S soft checks Shiftry and Pinsir, and Scarf Leafeon rounds out the team. Overall I do not think this team is very good and I definitely should have tweaked the build accordingly.

Week 6 vs Dj Breloominati: :simisear::silvally-ground::metang::swanna::bouffalant::combusken:

Week 6 aka "can you outplay Sucker Punch?" Seriously though, going into the week, Xayah and I agreed that Dj's team were weak to setup spam so we built a team with three Pokemon that can autowin sometimes. Sad thing is none of them had an autowin matchup. NP Simisear was the first Pokemon we decided on using because we felt this set matched up well vs what Dj used. Silvally-Ground and Metang form the defensive backbone for the team as well as the entry hazard core. Choice Scarf Swanna for the speed and to check Combusken. Sub SD Bouffalant acts as another win con and its bulk is p useful. Lastly, SD Combusken rounds out the team as it checks Shiftry and Normal-types, and forms a Fire-type spam core with Simisear. Once again was not super satisfied with this team and it was slightly out of my comfort zone, won in the end though.

Rest-Talk Silvally-Dark Balance: :silvally-dark::simisage::altaria::bronzor::poliwrath::camerupt:

This is in my top 3 favourite teams I've used in the past two months. With Shiftry and Psychic-types being so good in the tier, I wanted to try out Rest-Talk SD Silvally-Dark as a general blanket check and win con. While the lack of U-turn and Pursuit greatly diminishes Silvally-Dark's utility, the ability to repeatedly check or 1v1 Pokemon such as Shiftry, Bronzor, non-Haze Mareanie, Exeggutor, Gourg-XL, and so on appeals to me. Then, I wanted to try out another set in NP Z-Leaf Storm Simisage. NP Simisage typically runs Giga Drain with LO and I went with Z-Leaf Storm to dent specially bulky Pokemon such as AV Kecleon and Dusclops as well as not have to risk Focus Blast vs Lickilicky, SpD Komala, and Cradily at times. With the win cons out of the way, I added Defog Altaria and mixed defensive Bronzor to form the defensive backbone and entry hazards core. This is a classic core that I think became even better with Exeggutor around and with Abomasnow's departure. Then, I added Protect Toxic defensive Poliwrath to round out the defensive backbone as it helps blanket check threats such as Pinsir, Floatzel, Simipour, and Rapidash. Lastly, I knew I needed a Volt Switch stopper and something with some kick. Ultimately I decided on Specs Camerupt for just that. And on top of that, Specs Camel really helps versus fatter teams. Lack of speed control is definitely the weakness that stands out most as it means Pokemon like Purugly and NP Raichu can have their way if not played around properly. I usually dislike Scarfless builds and I don't like that about this team, but it plays more defensively so it works out.

SD 3 Attacks Lycanroc HO: :lycanroc-midnight::drifblim::gabite::silvally-water::raichu::mr_mime:

Man this probably one of the most fun teams I've built in recent memory. SD 3 attacks Lycanroc-Midnight+DBond Drifblim start out the team and they pair together relatively well. The Lycanroc set is not standard. Chose not to run Stomping Tantrum because I don't really like it and wanted to see how well Iron Tail+Crunch over RP+Stomping Tantrum would be. The main appeals are hitting Bronzor, Golem, and Granbull for super-effective damage, which would otherwise check Lycanroc-Midnight pretty well. That being said, I do not find this set better in general than DD, but it does have matchups where it breaks better (which is the goal with a cleaner like Acro Drifblim). Gabite+Silvally-Water form the backbone of the team and are the main checks to threats such as Swanna, Combusken, and Shiftry to an extent. Added NP Raichu next for the stall breaking and speed, which is crucial on this team. Lastly. Scarf Mime rounds out the team. Healing Wish support is great with three setup Pokemon. The downsides to the team include the Shiftry weakness, reliance on Silv-Water to check things, and weakness to general fast stuff such as Scarf Evire, Scarf Silvally, and Purugly. That being said this is balls to the wall offense so it has to be played aggressively (like most/all HO).

Semi-Rain: :Golduck::Swanna::Electivire::Golem::Shiftry::Silvally-Fighting:

Pigeons used this team back in week 1 of ZUPL vs Uhu iirc. I believe more than anything, Abomasnow's departure is what made rain a better play style at the moment, not Poliwrath dropping (because there are better options than Poli on rain). Anyway, Golduck is a menace under rain and can plow through teams in the mid- to late-game. On the other hand, Z-RD Swanna is another great Pokemon under rain that checks Grass- and Water-types for Golduck. The two compliment one another and together they can easily overwhelm teams without dedicated special walls or something like Pyukumuku. Choice Scarf Evire complements the two well and provides revenge killing and pivoting for the team. Tank Golem for the rocker, Normal-type resist, Evire check, and hard hitter in general. Sucker Punch is nice to chip things down or to pick off weakened foes. Shiftry does Shiftry things; soft checks Golem and Ground-types in general, wallbreaks, can pick off frail threats, provides Defog, and has Knock Off support. Lastly, BoltBeam Silvally-Fighting rounds out the team and fits great here because of its useful resistances and ability to lure in and catch Swanna, Rotom-S, Altaria, and so on. Team itself is weak to opposing Water-types and is slightly slow for offense, so you must be wary of that.

OMPL Playoffs vs EviGaro: :Lickilicky::electivire::silvally-ground::combusken::probopass::kadabra:

Blobby Baccala, best Lickilicky nickname I could come up with (I had just finished watching The Sopranos, so good). I wanted to use something fun vs Evi for OMPL playoffs and after a bit of thinking, I decided on offensive AV Licky. The idea was this Lickilicky set would disrupt teams; it could Knock Off Eviolite from Bronzor and Mareanie, OHKO Swanna and defensive Golem, speed creep Gourgeist-XL and 2HKO, and so on. I then paired it with Scarf Electivire because Scarf Evire appreciates all those things, especially how Licky can Surf vs Ground-types and Fire Blast Grass-types. Added bulky Silvally-Ground to help check Ground-types and for the Defog and pivoting support. SD Combusken acts as a win con and gives the team more speed. I was struggling to find a good rocker for the team and ultimately decided on Passho Probo because it can switch into Eggy and potentially 1v1 Swanna. Lastly, LO CM Kadabra was added because it's a strong tournament game pick imo, gives you the option to break fat as well as revenge killing slower offensive Pokemon such as Exeggutor, Leafeon, special Swanna, and so on. Sadly, my techs did not hit this game because Evi brought Muk which walled Licky :blobpensive:. Team has its fair share of weaknesses though, so be wary of offensive Water-types, offensive Grass-types, and Golem.

Mixed Gunk Simisage: :simisage::electivire::silvally-ground::mawile::swanna::kadabra:

Built this for Feli in week 2 of ZUPL. Knew Feli wanted offense and since we were up against the Delibirds, I knew Simisage would put in work. Feli played a dominant game and really showed off the team well imo. Mixed Simisage+Scarf Evire is a fantastic offensive core that matches up well against common offensive and defensive Pokemon in the tier. Then as you can see, during ZUPL my Sandslash+Mawile use died in favor of Silvally-Ground+Mawile, which I think is indicative of how useful Silvally-Ground is in this meta (U-turn especially). Z-MM Swanna and Sash Kadabra round out the team with their offensive capabilities as well as offensive utility, checking threats such as Pinsir, Combusken, and Golem.

SD Sawsbuck vs Xayah: :simisear::rotom-fan::poliwrath::golem::silvally-dark::sawsbuck:

Sad sad game. The one time I don't use max Speed Rotom-S, I get burned for it (or should I say slept for it). Heading into the matchup I expected some Shiinotic type build and opted to try out SD Sawsbuck. Paired it with bulky Rotom-S to check opposing Grass-types as well as Pinsir, Combusken, and Silvally-Fighting. Poliwrath and Golem finish the defensive backbone. Silvally-Dark provides Defog support and check Eggy. Lastly, Scarf physical Simisear for speed control. Put Simisear over Rapidash because of the necessary coverage and Knock Off support. All in all the team turned out okay, but I think I misplayed at the end. Going Sawsbuck did nothing for me as Xayah had no reason to preserve Swanna, so I should have calced properly and went into Poliwrath for Swanna to die to recoil. From there I had to win speed ties with Sawsbuck and hope Simisear cleans, which it probably does if Sawsbuck wins those ties.

SD 3 Attacks Toucannon: :toucannon::sandslash::mawile::silvally-dragon::simisage::floatzel:

I lied, Sandslash+Mawile is back. The two support Toucannon fairly well as they help check Electivire, Golem, Shiftry, and CB Komala. SD 3 attacks Toucannon is a monster, like it can break so much on paper, which was very appealing. For example, +2 Supersonic Skystrike can OHKO phys def Avalugg after rocks. Silvally-Dragon provides Defog support, pivoting, and soft checks Water- and Grass-types for the team. Mixed Simisage does mixed Simisage things, with Taunt over a coverage move to help vs stall. Low Kick over Superpower because I don't want the drops from both Leaf Storm and Superpower when trying to stallbreak. Scarf Floatzel because it fit and for Switcheroo. It is not a great option and more than anything I wanted to give it a shot (also helps vs Fire-types).

NP Simisage: :simisage::swanna::duosion::marowak::silvally-fighting::electivire:

Another team Feli used, this time in week 3 vs Teddeh. We definitely prepped for stall and made sure to keep the team offensive enough to outplay opposing offense or even bulky offense. Many stalls are weak to NP Simisage so I chose to build around that. Scarf Swanna provides speed control and helps check Combusken and Pinsir. The Duosion set aims to annoy stall and blanket check certain threats for the team. The spread lives 2 Poison Jabs from +1 Curse Muk and checks special Swanna reliably. Future Sight allows Duosion to continually chip away at things as stall generally cannot pressure Duosion. Thunder means Pyukumuku can never trap Duosion since it's a 2HKO (also means Duosion can catch Vullaby off the switch). Marowak is the obligatory rocker and hole puncher, Silvally-Fighting the Defogger, pivot, and blanket check, and Taunt Z-Focus Blast Electivire further pressures bulky teams and acts as a pivot. The team is p weak to Normal-types and heavy hitters such as Z-MM Swanna and Pinsir, so you have to keep up pressure while using it.

CB Monferno+Silvally-Electric HO: :monferno::silvally-electric::shiftry::swanna::golem::electivire:

Classic five minutes HO. Quickly built this team week 4 in case one of my players did not like any of their builds. CB Monferno and Silvally-Electric form a fantastic Volt-Turn core as the two pressure one another's checks p well. Shiftry and Swanna is another great and simple core. Z-RD Swanna over any other set because with CB Monferno, Modest Silvally-Electric, and Shiftry, Swanna gets enough breaking support to clean in the late-game. WP Golem since it's HO. Scarf Evire rounds out the team and creates a sort of Electric-type spam core with Silvally-Electric. Team is really nice and both Feli and Shwifty got wins in week 5 using it. Main weaknesses include Lickilicky+Mareanie; non-SD Shiftry means it cannot run through them.

Z-Draco Altaria: :altaria::marowak::silvally-electric::gourgeist-super::simipour::lycanroc-midnight:

Going into week 4 Evi felt like using Z-Draco Alt and so I set out to build a team around it. After two unsuccessful attempts, I put this team together. The main constraints with Z-Draco Altaria are that it takes up the Z-move slot, is only a moderately strong mid-speed breaker, and has numerous weaknesses to account for. Paired it with SR Marowak because Altaria really needs something that can break through Steel-types and specially bulky Pokemon. Silvally-Electric checks Swanna and pivots p well, which helps bring in Altaria and Marowak. Added Gourgeist-XL to check opposing Ground-types, Pinsir, and physical attackers in general. Scarf Simipour for speed control and CB Lycanroc-Midnight for the extra bit of breaking power (was up against UC so I thought it'd be a nice pick). Team is relatively decent and Evi played a good game, winning against UC that week.

Porygon Offense: :porygon::swanna::silvally-dark::exeggutor::golem::electivire:

Evi felt like using Custap Explosion Exeggutor the last week of ZUPL and was okay with me cooking up something unorthodox, so I had fun here. Decided to use Porygon because with Trace, it can screw Choice Scarf Electivire, soft check NP Raichu, Trace Regen from Mareanie, and it also has the bulk to reliably check all Swanna sets from full. BoltBeam and Twave means Porygon can hit a majority of the meta in some way. Added Z-MM Swanna since it really is a brainless Pokemon and it appreciate's Porygon's ability to check Evire. Silvally-Dark for Defog support, pivoting, and to check Psychic-types. Custap Exeggutor fit nicely here as it brings power, checks Ground-types, and Endure Custap is hilariously clutch in certain situations. Custap Golem also fits nicely here, both for the team and the fact that there's dual Custap BOOM. Scarf Evire for speed control.

Here is my builder from around week 1 of OMPL up til now. There are plenty of teams I built that went unused as well as teams I really like that I was too lazy to write up (also too lazy for team replays). Thanks for reading.

The first five Pokemon here are fairly straightforward. Golem and Volbeat are the sun setters, while Eggy, Shiftry, and Leafeon are your standard Chlorophyll sweepers. Bada-bing, bada-boom, you've got sun offense right there.
Then we've got this stupid Magma Snail in slot six.
Let's not mince words here: Magcargo is a terrible Pokemon. It has a couple of perks; The Fire/Rock typing is actually pretty nice offensively, and it does get Shell Smash, along with a bevy of other useful offensive and support moves. Unfortunately the negatives are incredibly crippling. Magcargo is incredibly slow even after a Shell Smash, as it gets outsped by positive natured base 110 speed mons even at +2. Moreover, its typing and reliance on accruing Weak Armor boosts to prevent itself from getting revenge killed by every scarfer in the tier leaves it incredibly weak to priority, especially Aqua Jet but also Sucker Punch and all that good stuff.
All of that means that incredibly cautious play is required (namely removing Shiftry, Swanna, any other potential Scarfer, Floatzel, etc.) is required before Magcargo attempts to sweep.
But once it gets going, it gets going. Sun support makes Fire Blast incredibly threatening, while Solar Beam means that Waters aren't safe at all. The last move was tough to choose: Earth Power and Ancient Power were both in the running, but I ended up choosing Ancient Power so it wasn't completely walled by things like Altaria while also having the off chance for the ultra boost; and considering the mon that's being run we will take all we can get.
I love Magcargo. It's terrible but I haven't had this much fun sweeping with a Pokemon in ages.

I stopped working on this team a couple of weeks ago, and never shared it because its success on the ladder was spotty, but it is still pretty good, and it would be a shame to not share it: https://pokepast.es/ed4e073036508076

Pyukumuku was an obvious pick for me because nothing else in ZU cam do its job. Wooper is too frail, even with eviolite, and Swoobat is in a similar boat (with a poor typing to boot). Unaware is a huge boon to stall, almost necessary (depending on the tier). I have a SpD set because I found myself mostly using it to check special attackers. The strategy dex recommends max defense to check banded Komala, but it is not a reliable check anyway; adamant sets have a chance to 2HKO, and knock off makes this easier.

Natu is horrendously frail, but it is perhaps the best check to passive hazards setters like Bronzor, Corsola, and Mareanie. The EV spread allows Natu to avoid the 2HKO from modest specs Exeggutor's leaf storm, while otherwise maximizing physical bulk. Reflect eases the pursuit MU, and helps Natu set up. Calm mind and stored power allow Natu to 1v1 Bronzor (you 3HKO at +6), and also turns it into a win con.

Monferno serves as the obligatory Shiftry check, and it can check other grass types like Leafeon and Simisage. The defense investment allows Monferno to avoid the OHKO from Leafeon's +2 breakneck blitz if eviolite is intact; the rest is put into SpD to better take Shiftry's leaf storms. Flamethrower puts Shiftry and Leafeon in range of vacuum wave. Stealth rock is necessary on any competitive team.

Lickilicky is effectively the Chansey of ZU, and with Pyukumuku, it is the face of ZU stall. I'm using a physically defensive set to check banded Komala, Electivire that lack cross chop or life orb, and even Rampardos if you knock off its life orb. Even before knocking it off, you have a chance to avoid the 2HKO from rock slide, guaranteed if you protect for leftovers recovery. Lickilicky doesn't mind the lack of SpD investment because Natu and Monferno can check the special grass types that threaten Pyukumuku.

Vibrava is the hazard control for more offensive setters, like Golem and Crustle. It also serves as a solid emergency defogger, as it resist stealth rock and is immune to other hazards. Despite Vibrava's higher attack and EQ's higher power, earth power hits Golem and Crustle harder. It is also useful for coil Arbok.

Lastly, we have Whishcash. I initially had Wooper here, but it was too weak. Whiscash checks Electivire and Rampardos more reliably than Lickilicky. The SpD investment allows Whiscash to avoid the OHKO from Raichu's +2 all-out pummeling, so it can OHKO back with earthquake. The rest of the EVs go into defense to better check Electivire and Rampardos. I tried a DD set with just waterfall, but I needed EQ for Raichu, EQ is a poor mono attack because too many Pokemon are immune to it, and it never swept anyway.

I'm obsessed with entry hazards so I made a triple entry hazards + phazing team. I don't think I'm a good enough player to judge how good it is, but it's fun when it works at least. Three Eviolite users makes it a bit Knock Off weak, Granbull should hopefully help.

☆Tuthur1: crap

Since I started tormenting the ladder with this creation a few days ago and some people seemed to like the team, I thought I'd give everyone access to it, so you can try it out yourself. This is actually the first team I ever used in ZU and arguably my most competitive one.

Before I jump into an explanation of the individual Pokemon, I want to give a short introduction into how Assist works: Assist is a status move that "Uses a random move known by a team member". There is a list of moves that Assist can't call on however, which you can find here. So if you want to make sure that Assist calls one specific move every single time, you can only use moves you find on the list of exceptions + the specific move you want Assist to call + whatever you want to run on your Assist user. The Assist user I am using is Meowstic-F, for reasons I will explain later. The move I want Assist to call is Geomancy, which is made possible by running a Smeargle with Geomancy.

Now on to an explanation of the specific Pokemon I chose: Meowstic-F is the only Assist user in ZU who can also learn Stored Power. The combination of Geomancy + Stored Power gives you a +2 special attack Meowstic-F with a base 140 STAB move (base 260 if you manage to use Geomancy a second time). Signal Beam is there to hit dark types - in most other scenarios Stored Power is stronger. Substitute lastly helps out vs Sucker Punch from Shiftry (and vs Slaking...). I gave it enough speed to outspeed base 105 Choice Scarf users after Geomancy. Toucannon was chosen because Beak Blast is the strongest one-turn move without huge downsides. The burn it can provide also helps to create set-up opportunities for Meowstic-F. Ditto was a pretty obvious addition, since it is decent even outside of Assist teams. On all other teams Ditto should carry Choice Scarf. Here however, its role is not that of a revenge killer, but it's rather used for hazard control by copying Defoggers. Bluffing Choice Scarf is very useful too though. Smeargle is mandatory because of Geomancy. Most of the time it will use Transform or Destiny Bond (both Ditto and Smeargle are IV'd to have HP Ground). Trick can be useful to lock Pokemon into weak moves and give Meowstic-F a set-up opportunity. Despite this being a Meowstic-F team, Lopunny often puts in huge amounts of work. It is your dedicated lead to get hazards up with Copycat. It also helps you weaken Bronzor and physical attackers by giving them a Flame Orb - which is really helpful for Meowstic-F later on. In the last slot I was using Dusknoir with z-Focus Punch for a long time (to lure dark types). But with the drop of Poliwrath, I recently kicked Dusknoir off the team. Poliwrath's stronger Focus Punch and the option to use Dive seemed superior.

Timing is really important with this team. Except for Bronzor, Metang, Probopass and priority users like Shiftry, Pawniard and Kecleon, there aren't really any good answers to Meowstic-F after Geomancy. So your goal #1 will be to eliminate or cripple those. Once you managed to do that, you want to find the correct opportunity to get Meowstic-F in and use Geomancy. Burns from Flame Orb Lopunny and Beak Blast Toucannon can help out in creating these opportunities. Don't hesitate so sacrifice a Pokemon to a weak opponent just to bring in Meowstic-F afterwards.

A few things this team can struggle with are Sticky Webs, Toxic Spikes and Shiftry. I replaced Infiltrator on Meowstic-F with Competitive to make the Sticky Webs MU a bit better. Versus Shiftry you will have to get the Sucker Punch / Substitute plays right.

Have fun with the team (which you can find by clicking the title, in case you haven't noticed) and don't dare to make the Pokemon non-shiny (talking to you, Sketchy Ecchi)!
And special shout-out to Fwuffy Puff for beating this team multiple times by circumventing Ditto with a Vital Spirit (!) Electivire...

Hey buddy boys and buddy girls, I just wanted to paste this team here! Allow me to introduce you to my Voltturn team, a team where every member of the team has either Volt Switch or U-Turn! Here it is!

Unfezant is here as a strong normal type, that also has acces to taunt and a very strong U-Turn. Normally, Toucanon would be better for this, but Touc lacked Taunt and speed, so I used Unpleasant instead. Tailwind is just a filler to double for three turns our speed against Scarfers, while Return is a strong STAB attack. I chose Adamant as a nature for simply more power, while Scope Lens increases the chance of critical hits. And yes, I know Unfezant is bad.

Rotom F acts as the scarfer for this team. I chose it over Electivire, since it has a stronger Volt Switch and also because of trick to cripple stall pokemon like Licky or Pyu. Air Slash is the second STAB move, while Wil-O-Wisp burns foes and cripples them hard.

Probopass, while being mostly inferior to Golem A as a trapper, is just that. A steel type trapper. It is able to slowly kill Bronzor with Tectonic Rage and Smack Down, while also threatening Mawile with Earth Power. It also sets up SR and can pivot out with Volt Switch.

Silvally Fighting serves as my Shiftry check, being able to defog Stealth Rocks away, poisoning opponents with Toxic , attacking with Multi-Attck against Licky and Komala and lastly to pivot like with U-Turn, like the other members of this team.

Ninjask is our strongest pivot, being able to slowly wear the foe down with strong U-Turns. U-Turn, Aerial Ace and Leech Life are for STAB, while Final Gambit acts as a last resort, if Ninjask had already fullfilled the purpose of this battle and to potentially kill another opponent. I chose Adamant, so Ninjask hits really hard with CB and 252 EVs go to speed.

Lastly we have Chinchou, who acts as our Swanna check. The 80 Evs are there to outspeed Golem, while the rest of the EV's are used for physical bulk. Eviolite is there to enhance that bulk, Rest and Sleep Talk are both selfexplanatory, Scald to potentially burn foes and Volt Switch to (once again) pivot out.

So I hope you like the team and that you have sucess with it. It obviously isn't perfect, but it is still fun imo!
Have fun with the team!
