Electivire is a solid offensive partner for Combusken. Scarf Electivire can reliably outspeed and OHKO Floatzel and Swanna with STAB Thunderbolt. Floatzel in particular can be lethal to a sufficiently chipped Combusken because of Aqua Jet, so the removal of it aids Combusken greatly. Combusken can muscle through Gourgeist, one of Electivire's best checks, and wallbreak mid-game so Electivire has the opportunity to clean up late game. This core tends to lend itself well to offensive teams, as they usually desire the momentum and power this core provides.

One of the few mons that stops SD Fightium Combusken in its tracks is Mare. Egg is a clean switch in to Mare and punishes so hard with its Psychic / Sleep Powder / Leaf Storm combo. So even it Combusk’s sweep is put on hold, this almost banned threat comes in and makes a dent with any of the three moves I meantioned earlier. Combusk also helps as well being able to KO threats to Egg like Bronz, Shiftry, and Prob. Together they make a dangerous duo that will destroy an unprepared team.

So, OTR Bem is a Surprisingly good partner for Combusken, as combusken breaks the various steels and mons like shiftry that check bem, allowing it to sweep cleanly, Meanwhle bem provides similar help to Busken, in beating Mareanie, Muk, Ect., pretty solid set of mons to run on an offensive team overall

Specs Lapras can help out Busk by taking care of the things that Busk has trouble with (Swanna, Mareanie, now Poliwrath, Altaria, Pyukumuku, Dragonvally, Watervally, Camerupt, etc). Freeze-Dry just nukes all these things save for Camerupt in which Hydro Pump can get the job done. and gives Busk an easier time! Not much else to say here.

Our next bachelor Pokemon that needs some love is...........

Pinsir is a nice wallbreaker that can sweep mid-to-late game with its Z-Me First set. It does have a few problems with this of course since there are a few mons that can halt any sweeping chances in their tracks. So, which mates can help it in this department? Me First Pinsir absolutely loves LO Toucannons breaking power. With Brave Bird for Gourg, Shiin, Machoke and Poli; Overheat to lure Mawile and Avalugg and Bullet Seed to break Golem, they’re perfect partners.

Description Golem and Pinsir have amazing defensive synergy. Golem covers all of Pinsir´s weaknesses (and less important: Pinsir covers Fighting, Ground and Grass for Golem). Additionally they have similar defensive checks (due to both running Earthquake and Stone Edge), which means Golem can wear them down. This, paired with the damage from Stealth Rock and Toxic, is exactly what Pinsir needs to reliably clean with his Z-Me First or Scarf set. Note: While Golem does cover Pinsir´s weaknesses purely looking at single-typing, opponents with a dual-typing like Swanna or Combusken can trouble this core. ​

Description

Bronzor can cover the weaknesses of Pinsir aside from fire but more importantly it able set up rocks, spread chip damage and status the opps team. Yeah fire beats the core but fire Pinsir doesn't really need fire types to be gone because of Stone edge. Pinsir can also take some week knock offs for Bronzor.

Zebstrika serves as a nice partner for Pinsir. Especially if Pinsir is running the Z-Me First set. Zeb can provide the necessary pivot and come in on something that doesn't want to get hit by Pinsir's attacks. Zeb also deals with the stuff that Pinsir doesn't like. Examples include: Gourgeist-Super, Poliwrath, Silvally-Ghost, Pyukumuku, Swanna, Mareanie, among others.
