Welcome to the first ZeroUsed Circuit playoffs! Players battled throughout numerous official tournaments and the top 16 qualifiers will compete to be the first ever ZU Circuit Champion. All rounds will be hosted in this thread. The winner will receive the ZeroUsed banner.
For information purpose, I am missing an response whether or not they want to participate in the Championship from S1nn0hC0nfirm3d and terreitor wished to not take part of this years championship.
Credits for the trainercards go to skrimps , Tuthur and this website.

Tournament Rules:

  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the ZeroUsed ladder of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • Best of three, single elimination.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! or smogtours.
  • SwSh cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are required. Failure to post will result in a coin flip.

time for my personal completely reasonable, definitely unbiased and very based predictions. warning: i am not responsible in any way for jinxing you.

(1) OranBerryBlissey10 vs Monai (16) he builds cool teams
(2) Tuthur vs PandaDoux (15) good player
(3) Mr.Bossaru vs yovan33321 (14) just cteam lol
(4) Beka vs Beraldinho (13) idk both of them them really well but from what i’ve seen beka is pretty good
(5) Elfuseon vs DurzaOffTopic (12) if they stop spamming sun and get cteamed they might win this
(6) Danny vs Shaneghoul (11) good player
(7) Toto vs TheFranklin (10) good player
(8) Albi vs RawMelon (9) he’s italian.

Take these predictions with a grain of salt b/c I almost never predict and don't pay attention to replays all that much.

(1) OranBerryBlissey10 vs Monai (16) - OBB has plenty of momentum coming into these playoffs and I feel he's in a good groove building in this meta. Imo his style can be exploited so if Monai puts in the prep, I can see an upset.

(2) Tuthur vs PandaDoux (15) - Honestly I don't know much about PandaDoux and Tuthur is always a solid player.

(3) Mr.Bossaru vs yovan33321 (14) - Flamenco 2:0 incoming. Seriously though Yovan is great at cteams so this shouldn't be difficult.

(4) Beka vs Beraldinho (13) - Admittedly I don't know much about either player aside from having played Beraldinho in a bo3 and seeing Beka around. Both players have access to good support if needed so teams should be sound. Going with my gut on this one.

(5) Elfuseon vs DurzaOffTopic (12) - Durza has access to strong support and can pilot teams pretty well. I'm not as familiar with Elfuseon and don't think that he has the same ceiling as Durza.

(6) Danny vs Shaneghoul (11) - A highlight matchup for sure. Both are skilled and familiar with ZU. However, imo Danny is the top player and builder in ZU if he tries to prep. I don't know if Shaneghoul is willing to prep here and may just recycle teams, which can be exploited.

(7) Toto vs TheFranklin (10) - This is honestly a toss-up to me even though TheFranklin is a more accomplished player because Toto has his UMPL team to fall back on. Gut feeling says slight edge to TheFranklin b/c of his playing ability. I'm rooting for Toto though.

(8) Albi vs RawMelon (9) - RawMelon is in tune with the meta and one of the better pilots in-game. Main concerns are if they're able to find a time to play and if raw has to recycle teams / doesn't build something new. On the other hand, Albi is always solid and consistent, so I don't feel this is one-sided.
