Spam Earthquake from a distance until it keels over! If it Close Combats, use Earthquake to make a wall and rockblock his super effective hit!
You're faster than him so go right at him with right away with a Close Combat. Follow that up with one last Morning Sun. Finish the round with one more Close Combat.
Format: 2v2 Singles
DQ Time: 2 Days
Restrictions: 2 recovery moves, 5 chills
Switch = KO

Arena: Kanto Route 1
Kanto Route 1 - A winding route between Pallet Town and Viridian City. Plenty of tall patches of grass for Pokémon to hide in and plenty of bends to hide behind. Small ledges break the path up. The ground is soft enough to dig into. There are no sources of water, however.

Wikey: OOA

Growlithe [Keasbey] (M)
HP: 30
Energy: 17
Boosts: +1 Attack
Other : None

Darkamber: XOA

Cranidos (Tim) (M)
HP: 100
Energy: 100
Boosts: None
Other: None

Field Effects:
The Sun is still out, but the sunlight is no longer harsh.

Round Seven Start!
Keasbey knows that it won't survive the next assault. It aims to go out with a bang, hurling himself towards Tim and attacking with vicious strikes. Close Combat deals significant damage to Tim, who attempts to block it with Earthquake. Earthquake doesn't block the strike, but pushes Keasbey even close to exhaustion.

Keasbey tries to heal itself with the power of the Sun, but it is simply too tired to use Morning Sun. Tim uses this window of opportunity to strike again with Earthquake, and Keasbey is unable to battle!

Round Seven End.

Wikey: OOX

Time for my Gligar, Holden!

This Cranidos is no slouch so we're going all out on this one, Holden.

Start by hovering high above Tim and doing two Swords Dances. Then fly down right at Tim and unleash the mightiest Earthquake that Cranidos has ever seen.

Swords Dance ~ Swords Dance ~ Earthquake

fuck

Tim, we gotta kill this thing before it kills us!

CRIT! FREEZE! SOMETHING!

Ice Beam ~ Ice Beam ~ Ice Beam

Looks like we have a 37.2736% chance of winning, and a 62.7264% chance of losing.

Round Eight Start!
As Keasbey is called back from the Pokeball, Holden the Gligar is immediately sent out. With a smug look on its face, it seems that Cranidos has no chance of winning... right?

It quickly becomes evident that Tim is on last resort mode as the Cranidos fires Ice Beam after Ice Beam. However, Holden seems to be much faster and performs a graceful Swords Dance, raising his attack by two (2) stages. The Ice Beam hits the Gligar for significant damage, but the ice is quickly shaken off by the flying scorpion.

Holden performs the spinning Swords Dance once more, raising his attack by another two (2) stages. Tim shoots another Ice Beam from his mouth at Holden, dealing a good amount of damage, but the ice is quickly shaken off again.

Now done with dancing, Holden creates an earthshaking Earthquake that disrupts the dirt beneath the arena. A rift appears in the ground, and the force knocks Tim back on the ground, dealing a ridiculous amount of damage. However, Tim is able to fire off yet another beam of azure ice at Holden; the Ice Beam hits the flying scorpion right on, but the ice doesn't stay and freeze.
Round Eight End.

Round Nine Start!
Gligar swoops by Tim with glee, causing earthquake after earthquake. Tim follows suit with the attack-spamming, shooting Ice Beam after Ice Beam at Holden. At the end of the round, only one is left standing... who will it be?

Holden causes the very earth to shake again. Pidgeys fly out of trees, squawking in fear as the trees they were in topple to the ground, unable to withstand the might of the Earthquake. Tim takes much of the impact, sliding on the ground. Tim quickly gets off and fires an Ice Beam from his mouth. The ice starts forming into frozen clumps around Holden's wing, and Holden . . . manages to shake the ice off!

Annoyed at the near-freeze of its wing, Holden sends another Earthquake rippling through the ground. The force of the boosted earthquake knocks Tim back onto the ground as it survives with 1 HP. Tim bravely gets back up against the flying scorpion and shoots a brilliant azure Ice Beam at Holden. The frost covers the Gligar's entire body; does it freeze?
nope sorry

Holden sends one last quake through the ground. It renders the Cranidos unconscious. Tim is unable to battle! Wikey is the winner!

Thanks for the match, DA. GG. Your mons are great. Could have been very different if I hadn't have had type advantage at the end. And yes, Keasbey is my hero.

And we spam attacks because we know when it's time to do work, it's time to do work.
